00:00:01another day and another day of incredible another day okay stop stop i'm not starting with you
00:00:07today another day and another day i knew it as soon as i said it argentina good morning it's
00:00:13the morning with maybe the greatest comeback of this tournament thus far maybe ever world cup
00:00:19quarterfinals are now set we got a couple of your favorite segments with griff ends and out shout
00:00:23out wheezy and ebo's baseball bonanza once again making its glorious return plus what's that i hear
00:00:30it's the clarion call of college football as brandon walker's wise men makes its season debut
00:00:38and it all starts now on wake up barstool
00:01:05welcome in to wake up barstool t bob a bear brandon walker ebo connor griffin kb here with you today
00:01:11wednesday crew brandon how about that argentina game yesterday oh my god best comeback of the
00:01:16tournament thus far maybe ever a game it was a game and i watched that game argentina with a game
00:01:21and
00:01:21was quite the game okay okay that's how we're going to start today that's how we're doing
00:01:25i will say brandon yeah was on live programming during the entirety of that game yeah i didn't
00:01:30see any of it i did go back and watch the 18 minute highlight video yeah which i mean if
00:01:35soccer is the
00:01:37best sport for that you get all the attacks all the fluff is cut out you miss a little bit
00:01:41of the
00:01:41memes but you get a great feeling for the game yeah yeah you do uh egypt you're up to nothing
00:01:48you could
00:01:49have been up three nothing right they had a third goal that very well uh could have been a goal
00:01:54like
00:01:54this is this is the kind of loss that changes the trajectory of a country is it not like this
00:02:00is
00:02:01this is the world cup you have the defending champs two nothing everything's going well in that like
00:02:0670th minute when they scored a second goal i think they scored a 60 there you go 67 minutes
00:02:11the egypt is on top of the entire world it's it's probably the peak of egypt it's pyramids in this
00:02:18yep yep and then it was all gone in seconds damn you know it's uh seconds one of one of
00:02:25those
00:02:25three goals in 15 minutes which is insane yeah thank you connor and it is one of those things
00:02:31where you feel bad for them and you think back to that one call that was overturned by var which
00:02:36i'm
00:02:36sure that we'll show in a second but at the same time you still have the two goal lead and
00:02:41you let
00:02:42that up and it's like i don't know if i can feel bad all right this is where because this
00:02:45is
00:02:45outrageous what is var at this point overstepping its bounds yeah well what because when when we
00:02:52conceptualize instant replay in sports we thought okay if there is a call or a moment that is
00:02:58questionable we look at it and we answer the question but they're using var to create questions
00:03:05they're using var to go back you know 30 seconds before a play or in a minute before a play
00:03:11they're
00:03:12using it to create questions wow tom brady uh and i don't think that's what var was supposed to do
00:03:19it has changed fundamentally changing chunks of games now not just seconds and moments in question
00:03:25and it should be noted so and yes egypt had three beautiful counterattacks right the second one is
00:03:30when we're talking about um they they score it looks like they're going to go up two nil they take
00:03:36back the goal for a tackle that happened about 20 seconds before 100 yards away but like all things
00:03:44i'm like okay well what do the experts say well english premier league official graham scott said it
00:03:48was a and it's a guy you know proficient at the highest level the rules handlers he said uh it
00:03:53was a
00:03:53quote massive overreach by var saying that the longer the time and distance between the challenging
00:04:01question and the goal the more serious the alleged offense has to be to take away the goal and he
00:04:08said
00:04:09that actually the contact that they they would reverse everything on was incidental and wasn't
00:04:13even a foul in the first place yeah so a a a pretty ridiculous uh overstep by var here think
00:04:20about this
00:04:20think about a football team scoring on like second and goal and then they use var to go back to
00:04:27earlier
00:04:27in the drive back at the 40 yard line said well actually this guy was a half a step off
00:04:31sides yeah
00:04:31so like that that's what happened to egypt yesterday like this is there's just not enough there to to
00:04:39to warrant changing an entire trajectory of the game yeah again they said it was normal contact 100
00:04:44yards to goal and argentina had players back to defend and recover post-foul which are all elements
00:04:49that means that the goal should have stood here's what's crazy you mentioned being up to nothing and and
00:04:54even though the controversy like you're still up to nothing you got to win the game in american sports
00:05:00post-game we're kind of taught to say those things right like yeah it's frustrating you can't leave it
00:05:05in the officials hands here's what the goal scorer zico had to say after the game and this is you
00:05:10know
00:05:10this is one of the wonderful parts about football is that they treat these things as quote it was not
00:05:15fair from the referee it was really not fair that was very clear he wasted all our efforts with his
00:05:21decisions we were leading 2-0 and we cannot do anything it's all up to god we're so sorry to
00:05:27the people of egypt i'm so sorry we wanted to make you all happy it was not on the cards
00:05:31it was the
00:05:32referee the cup is directed towards argentina there's a brutal level of honesty in soccer yeah
00:05:39from the fans and from the players that is a bit jarring as an american because we think we take
00:05:45things seriously yes going and poisoning trees after losing a rivalry game these guys yeah this
00:05:52is life or death for them yeah well i just love the fact too like again because we are media
00:05:58trained
00:05:58to not complain and to like accept this idea of like it's it was our fault like it was in
00:06:05our hands
00:06:06we have control which egypt did but no football culture is you just like nah man that was the refs
00:06:11they screwed us but also argentina they get screwed argentina won the world cup last time
00:06:16they were they were they were touched with a little bit of magic and they made that run
00:06:19and what an incredible run it was and now they're making a second run and they're touched with magic
00:06:24again like you can't kill them yeah you can't knock them out they we're talking about the call and
00:06:29everything this is just beautiful we're talking about the call they went up to nothing after the call
00:06:33that was there was a ball don't lie moment that they had what 10 minutes after that yeah so so
00:06:38the
00:06:38second goal came after the the first goal was disallowed so it's two nothing going into the
00:06:4375th 76 77th minute and they blew it in the span of 15 minutes i i yeah exactly right it's
00:06:51tough to feel
00:06:52bad for them it reminds me a lot of a college football game i mean like egypt goes up they're
00:06:56running down the sidelines ringing bells taking their shirts off the next thing you know the big
00:06:59juggernaut the team that you know is historically much better just comes down and just vanquishes
00:07:05them in overtime yeah i mean it's not even that much of a rejects it's a pretty good analogy there
00:07:11i was referring to this to be saying what time we got here 707 it should be mentioned too as
00:07:19well
00:07:20like lost in all and this is another thing reason why like var controversy sucks is because that's
00:07:24where the conversation goes and like we should be talking about what messy did their country needed
00:07:29them down a goal uh an incredible setup by the one player basically bicycling a pass in there and
00:07:35then a beautiful perfectly timed to name left foot from messy to give him the golden boot lead tie up
00:07:42the game and set up argentina to move on to the quarterfinals what a quarterfinals look at that by
00:07:47the way yeah this tournament keep that graphic up because i need to look at it as i make this
00:07:51point
00:07:51this tournament has been incredible it's been amazing uh it's been unpredictable at the same
00:07:57time is it the most predictable thing in sports because i'm looking at this you tell me a world
00:08:03where we don't we don't have france and spain in the semis you tell me a world we don't have
00:08:08england and argentina and then you tell me a world we don't have france or spain winning this world cup
00:08:12go ahead i just received word from tech guy ryan before the show ryan was walking through these
00:08:19halls why do our tech guys all get tech guy added to their name because it makes an important
00:08:23distinction makes them sound because they actually do they do real work around okay ryan was walking
00:08:28through the hallways right before i was coming into the studio to do the show limping around the
00:08:31hallways yes uh he's torn acl and he said that in the france morocco game apparently all of the
00:08:38referees are argentinian therefore maybe the there's a little bit of a sway that way where they don't
00:08:45like france all of this build up you definitely try those yeah you could have built up for that
00:08:50could have been quicker with that but that's what i'm just saying i do see what you're saying
00:08:53insight from tech guy ryan it's a big controversy an argentinian referee would in theory want to put
00:08:59their thumb on the scale for morocco yes as the underdogs that last yes exactly just saying
00:09:04i don't know i thought there was a salient we're calling the question the uh did don't please don't
00:09:09touch my arm okay my bad my bad looking looking at my left arms looking at that bracket though
00:09:13we love college football sure we can say the exact same thing about every damn near college
00:09:18football bracket that's ever existed yeah including the one that was just won by indiana the worst
00:09:22program in the history of college football okay or how about the one where how about the one where
00:09:25tcu you don't you you you don't you don't or the 11th seed miami no i i i i you
00:09:31just said was you
00:09:31did not you just what you just said you know no no you know the players who are you know
00:09:36the teams
00:09:36that are going to be and there's going to be other teams in around the edges and that's your
00:09:39switzerland and that's and that's but you can't morocco i mean they made the semis last time using the
00:09:43college football playoff for zil's not in there example is terrible because we just saw indiana
00:09:46win uh but indiana coming off of an 11 and 2 i i i so so you don't think that
00:09:53college football is a
00:09:54chalky sport where the i mean you have an ohio state team that hasn't lost more than two games
00:09:58since 2012 i just think it's a poor example right now george is there every single year
00:10:02except they're not jmu made it to the playoff okay yeah never mind the worst examples
00:10:08perennial football team all right never mind you're right college football uh i'm not not a
00:10:14chalky sport no absolutely the the superpowers don't make it in the playoffs every single year
00:10:18it's not this cast same characters you're right no no no crazy topsy-turvy sport i guess the
00:10:23difference is i'm looking at this one going forward we got eight teams now i really feel like we can
00:10:27tell what's about to happen whereas the you know last couple of years football with tcu getting in
00:10:32there with washington getting the national championship game with uh with um what's about to happen
00:10:35though argentina's been on the ropes back-to-back games norway's touched by god and earl and holland
00:10:41spain belgium spain's changing up and down they're tough to read you feel like france is going to beat
00:10:46morocco but that's a morocco team that made the semis last time around belgium's not good we made
00:10:49them look like the best team ever yeah all those games yesterday just really drove home the point of
00:10:54how brutally bad the u.s game was brandon you know what's going to happen fill out this bracket if
00:10:59you
00:10:59get it perfectly right we will have brandon walker day all right after the champion all right france uh beats
00:11:04morocco spain beats belgium england beats norway argentina beats switzerland france beat uh let's
00:11:10see i'll deal with that one in a minute england beats argentina wow um you know what no no this
00:11:16is
00:11:16what we're going to do get england out of there argentina france rematch france wins the world cup
00:11:23would that be we already put england there we can't take them off all right no you can they can
00:11:27i don't think we have the technology no okay okay all right all right we have the technology
00:11:32for that happens perfectly uh it's it's it's my show for a day the brand i was the only one
00:11:37that
00:11:38chose indiana to win the bracket uh during college football season true didn't get to be my show
00:11:43what's your show every day yeah i guess in a way um yeah look that looks really realistic i but
00:11:48you
00:11:48know we we will see there's going to be a surprise somewhere in there okay there there there always is
00:11:55what do you think the biggest chance of surprise is is it norway beating england
00:12:00which i don't think they're huge underdogs but no i mean i can't get away from switzerland because
00:12:05argentina just keeps looking fallible but switzerland doesn't look good either like they
00:12:10that game that nothing nothing tie yesterday not every nil nil tie is is created equally i didn't
00:12:16think that was a bad one i thought i thought they were incredible saves like at least this game had
00:12:20chances there was the uh the the the worst game in the round of 16 was um belgium beating the
00:12:27crap
00:12:28out of the u.s no spain portugal well outside of that one spain portugal in terms of like
00:12:32boredom uh was spain portugal like no quality chances no quality goals
00:12:37i'll say this as far as the favorites go france has had moments where they look like the best team
00:12:42in the history of the galaxy england has had moments where they look incredible norway's got
00:12:46holland going crazy argentina you can't you can't not watch them and then spain is just kind of
00:12:51there yeah yeah i i i haven't agreed flexed any muscles yet um now everything you'll read will tell
00:12:59you that well spain is one of the few teams that can kind of keep the possession and and and
00:13:05maybe
00:13:05you know best defense against france is a good offense where you're gonna play a little conservative
00:13:09hold on to the ball it's kind of akin to what they did against portugal but yeah it's tough to
00:13:14believe in spain maybe because they haven't had the big bombastic moments that the uh the other
00:13:19big ones have thus far kyle which of these countries would be your favorite to buy a three bedroom two
00:13:24bath starter home in norway bergen easy yeah i figured it was morocco maybe marrakesh maybe would
00:13:32make me an evil man well how would you become evil i would just succumb to the traditions
00:13:38yeah what would you do in norway live on a fjord house in bergen yeah easy i thought bergen was
00:13:48in
00:13:48new jersey bergen county yeah yeah i lived there i did too what do you know shout out to the
00:13:54egypt
00:13:54goalie by the way the bergen was a bag bergen no that's a i don't think so oh what is
00:13:59it is that
00:14:00a bergen what's up which is the bag bergen stocks no those are sandals yeah sit this out bergen's the
00:14:06bag yeah yeah okay okay okay okay good to know i'll send you some pics all right look guys coming
00:14:11up
00:14:11next here on wake up barstool uh you had that nice bag where do you have a final word on
00:14:16this usa game
00:14:18allow this crap is the word yeah yeah i mean not not inaccurate let's see if we can keep that
00:14:24streak
00:14:25of not being accurate coming up next on wake up barstool a bunch of morons
00:14:34this is all the same person what's happening y'all welcome back to wake up barstool all right
00:14:38usa disastrous performance we broke it down yesterday uh and it disastrous performance in front of a lot
00:14:46of people brandon the ratings on this game out of control how did you take in the usa's face plant
00:14:52on the biggest stage they've ever been on well i have likened it to and i don't know if any
00:14:57of you
00:14:57have ever thought this about me but i've likened it to uh i'm a mississippi state fan yeah and you
00:15:04know i can count on you know over the last 15 20 years we start 7-0 and things are
00:15:10great and amazing
00:15:11and there's more buy into the program we're so excited the cowboy cowboys are ringing and then
00:15:17comes the trip to tuscaloosa and we get on highway 82 we ride through gordo and reform and we get
00:15:22past
00:15:23the speed traps and we get over to tuscaloosa in that awful town and and it's uh it's it's 35
00:15:29nothing
00:15:30at the half and you realize that you were never as good as the competition and that is where we
00:15:35are
00:15:35right now it was fun it was good the last couple of weeks were good but we were belgium's not
00:15:41even
00:15:41that good they're not that but they're not as good like and the difference yeah in their in their
00:15:47roster and their team and their ability to just pass the ball each up to each other and the ball
00:15:52go to
00:15:52where they want it to go and their their ability to get it to a player who knew what he
00:15:56was doing
00:15:57and you look at our players they had no idea what they were doing our defensive guys panicked like it
00:16:02there was we know now how far behind the rest of the world we are just based on losing to
00:16:08a team
00:16:09that's probably top 15 in the world yeah yeah borderline top 10 i would say but yeah but that is
00:16:15unbelievable world rankings for what it's worth i don't think americans understand the size and scope
00:16:21of soccer as a sport globally compared to any other sport there it is the dominant sport in over
00:16:28150 countries and it dominates what is the what is the next most popular sport baseball is only the
00:16:34most dominant in like eight or nine i mean cricket's probably bringing a lot of populations just due to
00:16:40like india being in love with it like a lot of number yeah but even then it's yeah to your
00:16:44point
00:16:44i don't think it's unrival numbers participation fanfare and we severely overrate the importance of
00:16:52athleticism compared to mastery agreed that's a good that's a good take agreed i mean look at
00:16:58someone like messy i mean i don't know obviously he's athletic right but it's not like he's not
00:17:02going to blow you out uh with like raw testing numbers or anything but his mastery of the game
00:17:08both in in managing space where to be and then the technical skill i mean look at the dude that
00:17:15scored
00:17:16two goals yeah and that would you would you classify him as an athlete if he was walking down the
00:17:20street
00:17:20he's just kind of like a lanky guy that like tyle said it's like a master of his craft we
00:17:25gag and
00:17:25bounce on athleticism so much yes it's an important tool but when it comes to elite competition
00:17:32athleticism can only get you so far like lebron james unbelievable athlete but he wouldn't be
00:17:40world class in any other sport and that mastery comes from growing up in societies where soccer is
00:17:46the number one thing they have going on they're starting at age two they're playing on the street
00:17:50every day then they get into youth academies then they get into like high school level academies
00:17:55and they specialize and it's mastery it's not about how fast strong yeah or physical you are it is it's
00:18:03just it's mastery of a skill connor i think you're about to go down a similar road that i was
00:18:08so take
00:18:08it away well and za has been championing this take for a while now where it's this american culture that
00:18:14we have as it pertains to soccer this should be one of the cheapest sports you could possibly play
00:18:20growing up it requires just a ball technically yes a goal but if you're just trying to play footy
00:18:25and you know juggle it around a little bit like you you can just use a ball yeah and for
00:18:29whatever
00:18:29reason the way that our structure is set up in america it is nowhere near the same as it is
00:18:35in these
00:18:35other countries and it the barriers to entry in order to really make it in this sport in america
00:18:40are so much more uh present as opposed to other countries that play right there is so unbelievable
00:18:47no matter how many times you watch it the amount of mess ups that we had to have on one
00:18:53play from
00:18:53our keeper going out there and being confused and just dropping the ball to to the guy and i don't
00:18:59know
00:18:59who what the guy's name is that stood between the goal and tim rehm the captain who also got bodied
00:19:03on the header for that ball is kicking right at him and it's almost like he has to turn be
00:19:07a turnstile
00:19:08to get out of the way of it yeah i mean he you know he tried to flip it it
00:19:11was a death it was a
00:19:12disaster hey you used to be uh copywriter newspaper right or like a what are this brain freeze with
00:19:18like a like a screenshot of like freezes foot digging into the ground you don't have to call it a
00:19:22screenshot if it's in a newspaper yeah it's a picture it's just a picture wow remember you covered
00:19:27soccer okaloosa county you were doing like the choctaw games versus the bar remember you had the
00:19:31strawberry banana smoothie on that hot day you were you were a soccer guy don't let people
00:19:37tell you otherwise uh uh now we can't just move past that you're going on the strawberry banana
00:19:44smoothie no i i'm i'm focused on the choctaw navarre part of it um have you been deep diving me
00:19:53okay yeah i loved i love choctaw hatchie high school and shout out shout out the indians shout out
00:20:00navarre navarre was good good school too but as far as soccer goes niceville was probably the class of
00:20:04that uh yeah niceville was nice the the niceville eagles yeah nicey but they're a great they're a
00:20:09great program shout out to adrian robinson just got the head coaching job yeah and another element of
00:20:14it too kind of like going back kind of the youth development and then just reading things like like
00:20:19you said like it should be a low barrier of interest where it should be cheap and also we don't
00:20:24have
00:20:25the academy programs that these other countries have where like if you're a beast 13 year old in
00:20:31another country you can start getting paid by the academy at that age for your development here like
00:20:38you're paying twenty thousand dollars to be on one of these massive uh or on one of these like elite
00:20:44youth teams so somewhere along the line it all got inverted that said this sorry i was just saying i
00:20:50i feel
00:20:51like there is something too though like the the youth sports program solving an issue which is
00:20:55there's not really a community of soccer in like a neighborhood you grow up in or suburbs you can
00:21:01have to solve the problem of like finding 22 guys to play sometimes and it's expensive and it's unfair
00:21:07i think the biggest issue is there's no community of soccer in like the neighborhoods you grow up and
00:21:12there's no like let's go grab 22 guys from the neighborhood and go play soccer at the local park like
00:21:15that doesn't really exist can i throw a theory out there about their academies versus ours
00:21:20their academies across the world that seem like they they see an exceptional young talent they
00:21:26throw them in the system to develop that talent into being useful and being uh great yeah the
00:21:31national team are great for the club teams great for all that our academies seem to look at young
00:21:37exceptional 10 12 13 year old talent and prey upon them yeah and get them into their system money
00:21:44to get their money yes yeah they they are the ends they're not they're not they're not uh they're
00:21:50not a means to an end they are the end they are get them in there and and get that
00:21:54money out of them
00:21:55and get that use out of them and get that publicity out of them and then if they go to
00:21:59the nba whatever
00:22:00whereas the other academies are focused on the future for for club for country ours are focused on
00:22:06the almighty dollar i agree also should be pointed out that the supposed future of our country in terms of
00:22:12soccer christian pulisic uh really really underwhelming extremely extremely i'm i'm i'm i'm i'm out on
00:22:20him you're fully out yeah i'm fully out after this one we we've had enough of a sample size
00:22:25skipping the gold cup not showing up in two world cups now taking himself out of the game
00:22:32immediately after the game talking about well now i can rest and i love that carly lloyd bodied him
00:22:38yesterday in the medias and you can rest when you're done playing and you can't attack carly lloyd
00:22:43no because she's done it on him bodied him a couple times no yeah yeah but like the team as
00:22:48a whole
00:22:48she's been very honest also it's a world cup where the stars have shown up and it has been very
00:22:53star
00:22:54driven and star focused and and uh argentina is driven by its star france is driven by its star
00:22:59norway's driven by its star our star barely made to the end yeah our star was slow balligan who
00:23:04going into the tournament we weren't even 100 sure that he was going to start like i mentioned that
00:23:10was a player that i was most interested in going to the tournament and chief was like well you know
00:23:13i mean it might be him might be pepe we'll we'll we'll see so um now we waste our bullet
00:23:18on that
00:23:19do you think we'll ever have a chance where the president can get involved again and get us a good
00:23:24decision from fifa like did that was that was that our only one and and we kind of wasted it
00:23:29uh i mean or do we just become that team now where the president's it's such an edge case i
00:23:36don't know i i i still have the world cup here in 12 years i i know it i know
00:23:40it made i know it made
00:23:42us the villain of sorts and made a lot of people root against us i know that a lot of
00:23:47people are
00:23:47going to find it impossible not to filter just through a political lens and so they're going to
00:23:51say oh well that's why we play better this or that like i i think it's just kind of a
00:23:55non-story
00:23:55at this point yeah like it was it was it was righting a wrong that should not have happened
00:24:00um but the the most frustrating part and again this is a game that did an average of 35 million
00:24:09viewers on fox i think telemundo added 12 million so we're talking about over 40 million people
00:24:15watching this game by far the biggest soccer telecast and biggest sports telecast outside of an
00:24:20nfl game and the the they just choked like again belgium is better yes i get all that they are
00:24:28not
00:24:30so much better than you than they looked like the u.s and you can say oh well this is
00:24:34just you know
00:24:35trying to get uh incentivize better the u.s was favored and even if you want to say that was
00:24:42like
00:24:42thumb of the scale like okay well then it was still like even those teams didn't look even at all
00:24:46and
00:24:47just look at the freeze debacle with the with with not kicking the ball and then that last goal it
00:24:51was
00:24:51so indicative and representative of a team that just choked just flat out choked i think it was not
00:24:57ready for the stage the most nervous i've ever seen a professional sports team or national they looked
00:25:04terrified ever and so i offer you this should we have played in front of no crowd should we have
00:25:09told
00:25:09no one to show up covid should we have another pandemic yeah because it's almost one of those things
00:25:15where like the crowd is so on your side that you feel the pressure to perform in front of them
00:25:20and
00:25:20it's actually bad for you to have hype on your side i threw this out on mostly sports yesterday and
00:25:24you
00:25:24can watch mostly sports on youtube every day from 10 uh to 11 30 central family um i threw this
00:25:29out on
00:25:30mostly sports yesterday and this is what i threw out on mostly sports yesterday helped me where do you
00:25:34watch that yeah uh on youtube anyway uh do you think so we played in seattle yeah we played in
00:25:40front of a soccer wise crowd because seattle is a soccer city they love soccer out in pacific northwest
00:25:45do you think we would have been better playing in baton rouge in front of a crowd who was soccer
00:25:51ignorant yeah it's just like rowdy drunk and rowdy because because our crowd in seattle saw the first
00:25:5710 minutes and they were pretty much taken out of it they knew they knew what was what we were
00:26:01doing
00:26:01they knew what belgium was doing they knew we didn't have much of a chance belgium scores in eight
00:26:04minutes if you're in baton rouge on a saturday night and it's just a bunch of drunk people and drunk
00:26:08frat
00:26:09kids and they we fall behind one nothing they're gonna keep being loud also uh i know nothing
00:26:15about belgium's weather but i have to imagine they would wilt under that south louisiana heat
00:26:23sure that humidity would have killed them is that right kb what is their weather almost has to be
00:26:27can we get a weather check gray uh belgium it's northern europe it's it's not all the way up in
00:26:32norway but it's it's it's definitely northern yeah so uh again complete disaster class for the u.s
00:26:39on the biggest stage biggest ratings they've ever had but hey oh we only got to wait four years
00:26:46to uh now we're stuck with griffins and outs to see him again coming up next the best segment that
00:26:51we do yep connor griffins griffins and outs what are we taking into next week with us what are we
00:26:56leaving behind there it is that's nasty that's nasty why take us the break that's mean
00:27:07welcome back to what right now it's time for connor griffins griffins and outs connor griffin
00:27:14take it away thank you t bob this is the stuff that we are uh bringing with us from this
00:27:19past week
00:27:19into next week and beyond and the stuff that we could just leave behind because it's no longer cool
00:27:24like a shirt like brandon oh yeah i do want to say up front uh i do look like i'm
00:27:28going to church
00:27:29with this outfit there's anything wrong it's not church to me i think the shoes are church going to
00:27:35to a mall i don't want to say also we're yeah i don't look good you look like you're tan
00:27:41you look
00:27:42like an early 20s finance bro that perhaps is hasn't figured out how to dress yeah yeah yeah that
00:27:49thinks he has but hasn't quite arrived i overslept this morning was in a rush to put together an outfit
00:27:53and this is unfortunately what i came away with but anyway nonetheless nice white socks though my
00:27:58first in i got my my nike my nike crew socks uh my first in is holland hysteria yeah early
00:28:05holland
00:28:05put up a picture after the game the other day after he scored and completely just put that game away
00:28:11it was well well well uh this got two million likes a hundred million views it was within hours and
00:28:18it's just a simple selfie of him at his locker just giving a an interesting face to the camera
00:28:23he is completely taken over this tournament and on top of that there was a video that came out of
00:28:28the
00:28:28way that he plays where he's just kind of walking around and then he senses like a moment to strike
00:28:35and
00:28:35it's like a lion the second it sees an antelope just attacks the ball scores every single time his
00:28:40numbers are outs he had he had the least amount of touches of any player on the field in that
00:28:49brazil
00:28:49upset uh i think he did 90 minutes he touched it 30 times yeah but to your point when the
00:28:55lion's ready
00:28:55to feast he's ready again terrible analogy on his part lions are are group killers are not they're not
00:29:02solo hunters they're they what are you talking about no no a male a male no i don't hate the
00:29:07analogy
00:29:07the the the lion the females hunt as a group no no but think about what a male lion like
00:29:13a cheetah
00:29:14no but think about what a male lion does brandon a male lion kind of lazes around but then if
00:29:19he
00:29:19has to fight another male all of a sudden game on no no i'm talking about well with numbers
00:29:25i disagree i'm pretty sure what do you mean disagree it's not a disagree thing it's pretty
00:29:29sure the female runners hunts and pat hunting packs i do think he's right there but i i also think
00:29:33it's a reach by brandon because he does have he does have the vibe of a lazy lion who will
00:29:39kick
00:29:39your ass when it's time to am i thinking of a tiger am i thinking of a tigers are solitary
00:29:43creatures
00:29:44yeah yeah tiger tiger tiger actually i would say tiger might play a little bit the point is though
00:29:51we all love erlin hond what's not to like he's yes he's he's a giant straight out of central casting
00:29:58viking likable goofy runs hunched over like it's he's he's the best i know that we still have messy
00:30:05in the tournament obviously we still have mbappe but i this is the guy this is my one one guy
00:30:09moving
00:30:10forward also uh battle of stamford bridge the vikings england have you seen all the memes about
00:30:16the two ancient phenotypes who's the english player that looks about as england as you possibly could
00:30:21because this is truly a historical battle for the ages that we're about to witness yes can't wait
00:30:26and sticking with the world cup my my first out it's mauricio pochettino's outfit the the outfit
00:30:33that he's been wearing every single game where it's been this very casual look here he is just
00:30:37looking the least casual as you can possibly be he's very agitated and you had a funny you had a
00:30:42funny tweet on this yes i disagree with this entire out oh my god but i did like your tweet
00:30:48this is so
00:30:50and i said two weeks ago in the griffins announced that i love this outfit and i want to keep
00:30:54wearing
00:30:55it but that was when we were winning but now that we're losing it's like the moment in stepbrothers
00:30:58yeah seth rogan where he's like yeah now the tuxedos seem kind of messed up now now the now
00:31:03the pochettino outfit seems kind of messed up because we're losing he looks like a he looks
00:31:06like a lion who's wearing hugo boss okay okay that's a reach
00:31:12stay on this um i still think i still think pochettino looks great here is a thing about
00:31:16pochettino research on that is is he skating by in all of this because again the team looked
00:31:24absolutely panic absolutely unprepared and like if this were an american sport with american coaches
00:31:31we would be lambasting this dude for getting out coached i mean if they came out of the hydration
00:31:36break and they looked better and then they came out of halftime and looked like better so like
00:31:40if you're like half to get i think they'll have to get in the flow of the game i think
00:31:44you're right
00:31:45but so much of it were individual breakdowns and panics like what could he have done no i again i'm
00:31:52not even saying it like i get it you know what i'm saying i i'm just saying that if it
00:31:56happened to
00:31:56football we'd be killing him we'd be killing him and and but it may not be fair to the football
00:32:00coaches
00:32:00always either right like that's the damn thing about coaching is you're trying to deal with human
00:32:05beings and all their variables and their fears and anxieties and it's tough to get him to
00:32:10make the right moves yeah well i still got your back on the outfit though i i think it's a
00:32:15great
00:32:15outfit but if it's supposedly his lucky outfit that he's running back every single game for good luck
00:32:20well it's not lucky anymore so from hugo boss to hugo loss what's i said well let's get that thing
00:32:26out
00:32:26of here next up we were talking about football uh stick with a football player and we're gonna talk
00:32:32about what he's doing right now this summer he's getting out on the links this is very much in
00:32:37brandon's getting out of the golf course we got lebron james and the calves getting out of the
00:32:41golf course got josh allen practicing his swing here uh don't know what the guy behind him here
00:32:48brandon why don't we no no i don't know exactly what that's about you get in front of him brandon
00:32:53come here let's see these hips uh you want me to grab your head yeah grab his head yeah i
00:32:58have to reach
00:32:58pretty high and what straighten that leg yeah just like that okay one more time here straighten that
00:33:03leg just like that yep that's a great job that's great great job right that's a good looking swing
00:33:10right there's not to work on the swing that guy had to know like tell that guy there's a camera
00:33:15there
00:33:16i i'm sure he probably didn't know no that's i can't remember his name but this is a famous like
00:33:20golf instructor they're like yeah big time guys george ginkis okay and he's like all the videos are
00:33:27kind of like this like grabby touchy i mean he's staring at it i mean i would say this
00:33:33of all the quarterback or maybe nfl player bottoms to be that close to sure josh allen's got great legs
00:33:40thick lower body it's not a bad place to be i would agree but expensive ass i just got a
00:33:45kick out of
00:33:46that i don't know you know it's summertime and people have more free time on their hands brandon
00:33:49are you golfing a lot more brandon uh yeah i went yesterday um you you're you're a man who um
00:33:55who in your younger younger days you you played center right yeah yeah you made a living with a
00:34:01man standing right behind your butt and put his hands in there i probably have you know i've been
00:34:05told by many quarterbacks i had the nicest rear to take snap froms of anybody they played with now
00:34:11why was that because it was the shape big uh yeah big firm juicy not flat so a nice rounded
00:34:17shape
00:34:18did you snake juicy in there um also was sweaty no i was gonna say i was not juicy you
00:34:24said you
00:34:24called your butt juicy i mean boys if you want to feel it during the break like i'll let you
00:34:30be the
00:34:30judge um but no i was not particularly sweaty but which is also big that's what people don't
00:34:35appreciate though it's not just the curvature of the butt but like your genitals need to almost be
00:34:41resting on the knuckles uh to get the real connection that that you need well these days
00:34:47it's so much more shotgun yeah i know yeah lost art and whatnot and see if fernando can can handle
00:34:53the heat under center a lot of clapping what's your next i guess my next one it's still with football
00:34:59technically we can roll right into it my next one is uh i'm out on eviction eviction i'm out with
00:35:05because all of the nissan heisman house winners who stay in that house for uh so much of the year
00:35:11they've been evicted the heisman house is now on sale what on zillow you could go on there it's
00:35:1632 million dollars the actual nissan heisman house that they they film at 32 million dollars in
00:35:21pasadena california uh i don't like this what is barry sanders gonna do exactly you're kicking all
00:35:28these people out but also i don't know how this works with the filming of it or what the case
00:35:32is
00:35:32this is like a historical landmark almost and it just listed it's like when the drake and josh house
00:35:38got sold uh because that's also out of san diego california and i was devastated i was like this
00:35:43is this is the drake and josh house let's treat it with a little bit more respect right doesn't look
00:35:47the same anymore and i'm afraid they're going to do the same thing to this well they changed what the
00:35:52family matters house in chicago they just completely the home alone house they just completely changed
00:35:57the outside of it yeah i feel like the only way you could afford this house is if you own
00:36:00the heisman
00:36:01maybe i i don't know yeah i don't think that's a guarantee i think members of the heisman house
00:36:06that can actually own this house are very few and far between no you got a pickleball court that's
00:36:11why they all share it together it's a share house yeah it's true what's the best who's the best heisman
00:36:16house character that we have probably the barry sanders might be up there i don't know that i paid
00:36:21the mascot heisman house if we're being honest i like baker and tebow tebow's not bad i guess i love
00:36:28the
00:36:28heisman house commercials and we're talking about college football a lot this show later on i just
00:36:32got me jazzed up for college football all right my next in we're talking about the sand man adam
00:36:38sandler yeah he's so in right now i don't know if i've ever seen somebody have quite the week that
00:36:43he
00:36:44had where he went from officiating the taylor swift travis kelsey wedding at msg which is a crazy
00:36:49sentence to say out loud and then less than 48 hours later he goes to nantucket and apparently the story
00:36:55goes he called up the non-emergency line of the nantucket police department said hey i don't know
00:37:01the island very well where are the good parts of the town to go find a pickup basketball game
00:37:06he shows up in classic adam sandler apparel he's wearing the hawaiian shirt and basketball shorts
00:37:11and he's just hooping with this random crew of locals right after he was at the most famous arena
00:37:17with the world's most famous people officiating wedding for the world's most famous couple so shout
00:37:22out to adam sandler he loves the guy's still doing it 59 years old playing pickup dare do take travis
00:37:27to be your lawfully oh no bring it in the marriage that's pretty good did that get better since monday
00:37:35you committed to it a little bit more okay oh you did that monday too yeah yeah yeah but he
00:37:40only did
00:37:41it during the break yeah i know i need to go on air with that with dave a smart move
00:37:46shout out to
00:37:47adam sandler though always been a man of the people yes absolutely and just loves pickup so hopefully we
00:37:51see him with uh chalamet i was just gonna say hopefully we see him with chalamet coming up
00:37:55the pickup man yeah they put pickup before in the past and it was electric okay 51st dunks my last
00:38:02out he's never done going from person to person uh i'm out on cooper flag cooper flag i'm out on
00:38:09cooper flag because he lost to rookie of the year rookie of the year the number one pick he lost
00:38:14to
00:38:14the purple hoser in a basketball competition this is dude perfect this is dude perfect they put out
00:38:18this video where the purple hoser's not even their best shooter exactly and that's why i'm like i don't
00:38:23know about cooper flag i know lights were too bright got a lot of hype coming off of his rookie
00:38:27season
00:38:27obviously he's gonna be a really really good talent in the nba for years to come that's a painful form
00:38:33from the purple hoser if you're losing to this purple hoser then yeah i can't look at you the same
00:38:38and unfortunately i think this has done irreparable damage to cooper's flag's legacy is purple
00:38:43hoser one of the twins no no no that's the twins tall guy beard purple hoser tall guy beard twins
00:38:52purple hoser tall guy's cody jones beard is is tyler tony the the twins are the twins and garrett

00:39:03i've never even seen a dude perfect video yeah well anyway this was a challenge first to hit 30 seconds
00:39:09lost the challenge came down to the wire and uh unfortunately cooper flag yeah he lost it right
00:39:15here so what are you gonna do tough look for cooper flag but still rooting for him i'm just
00:39:20officially out on him moving forward but the purple hoser do that thing i think he did kind of do
00:39:25the
00:39:25stank face good celebration he's a 38 year old how do you know did you just hit the you're the
00:39:31biggest
00:39:31dp guy we got i'm the biggest dp fan i've never even seen their videos all right well that's that's
00:39:41the griffins announce really uh just a bit of a whimper of an ending there connor well i'll also say
00:39:46uh also an out uh athletes going on podcasts and talking about a hundred million dollars uh not
00:39:51being a hundred million yeah no way is that out of touch or anything get the hell out of here
00:39:56dude
00:39:56all right hit me up dude perfect close it out the first hour of the show next going to your
00:40:00milwaukee
00:40:00show soon
00:40:10the fifa world cup rolls on and this is the old promo from yesterday the fever won't come the fox
00:40:19moves on to the corner bottles tomorrow killing imbappe and france on morocco when coverage started
00:40:232 p.m eastern then on friday powerhouse spain faces belgium coverage begins at 2 p.m eastern on fox
00:40:31yeah a bit of a brutal withdrawal today no world cup today it'll be back tomorrow it's gonna be
00:40:36fantastic not gonna know what to do with myself during the day today but connor you you were told
00:40:40you have breaking news here breaking news that i i found during the commercial break thank you very
00:40:44much uh while female lions usually hunt cooperatively in prides males typically hunt alone yeah solitary
00:40:51lions rely heavily on stealth and ambushes which is kind of what i was alluding to i i i look
00:40:58i had your
00:40:58back i i think that was yeah i think you're right early reference but lions but isn't england the
00:41:05lions that is true yeah so maybe you know maybe not the best animal to use i mean what about
00:41:13that
00:41:13hippo the other day that was great y'all saw that the hippo that bit the bit the crocodile
00:41:19what about that hyena can we show that on national we have a video to show you buddy there's a
00:41:26very
00:41:26funny i've heard he fell asleep after copulation yes or during uh oh during yeah he's tired it's a
00:41:33long day he's laughing that's what it is um it's not easy to laugh that much all right uh there's
00:41:39no
00:41:39way this should have gotten the breaking news thank you whoever typed that up whoever typed that up in
00:41:44the truck thank you very much connor shout out connor graphics guy he is very quick on on it as
00:41:49always okay so we talked a lot about the u.s they get blown out by belgium probably the worst
00:41:55way to
00:41:56lose in my opinion and so given that we have an expert panel of losers headed by our our uh
00:42:03brandon
00:42:04walker again mississippi state do we have a permanent camera rank the worst ways to lose the biggest game
00:42:11of the year and i'm on the panel as well brandon i was on a team that lost a national
00:42:15championship
00:42:1521 to zero so like i i understand how this feels what is worse though okay is it like a
00:42:22blowout
00:42:23or a buzzer beater which one which one would you take out of that battle okay i think
00:42:33blowout's worse yes blowout makes you question your whole season getting there where were we really
00:42:39did we belong yes look at what's going on in the u.s right now yeah like the the patriots
00:42:43in the
00:42:43super bowl this year where a lot of people experts on this show uh myself said they're going to get
00:42:50blown out because they don't belong here they they've had an easy schedule and they get there
00:42:53and it was exactly proven true buzzer beater hurts and it hurts bad but like you you you can hold
00:43:00your
00:43:00head high hold your head high yeah you get you you've acquitted yourself well in the field of
00:43:04battle let's just focus on this world cup would you rather lose the way we lost and not look like
00:43:09we belong there or lose a nil nil draw and penalty kicks just because a couple of your guys couldn't
00:43:15find the net like that's a crazy that pain that pain lingers though that pain will like you'll take
00:43:20it to your deathbed but let's let's let's let's yeah but i mean trust me you'll take the blood to
00:43:24your deathbed too but let's okay let's let's you change this a little bit so would you rather lose
00:43:28like the u.s lost or would you rather lose like egypt lost where you have the big lead you're
00:43:33right
00:43:33here at the edge of glory and then you just oh i would much rather be u.s and egypt
00:43:37right now
00:43:37really yeah way way yeah interesting because i'd rather be egypt i'd rather stick with what you
00:43:42were saying egypt was right there connor they were about to go to the quarterfinal for the first time
00:43:47but if the u.s had lost like egypt lost we would be talking about the steps that u.s
00:43:51had taken no we
00:43:53would be devastated we would be right but with pride with a little bit of pride in our bellies
00:43:57point that pain would linger for much much longer but i would have rather have been in the fight
00:44:02as opposed to have never been in the fight at all no completely big i'm i'm a big time like
00:44:07if you
00:44:07come in come in if you're not if you're gonna come in second come in last like the pain of
00:44:12second is
00:44:12far worse than the pain of last that's from and that's from an orioles fan that's from the will
00:44:16farrell movie uh stepbrothers correct yeah yeah i don't know have you ever followed like a single
00:44:21a high school football team in a rural state like go on max preps they lose every game 81 to
00:44:296
00:44:30do you know how demoralizing that would be yeah that would be bad school with 180 students the
00:44:35starting running back is an asthmatic diabetic sophomore with a habsburg jaw he's built like
00:44:40shirley temple and he has to get his ribs caved in every single play and just just dwell in 48
00:44:49minutes
00:44:50of getting demolished this is never every single friday getting blown out is worse
00:44:57he's right he's right people yeah i think that's a loser attitude by you i people people always have
00:45:03to get a winning attitude like you're not saying you're last it's a loser attitude the losing is
00:45:07loser baseball team my entire life i would much rather be last than have hope if we're technically
00:45:12it's it's ted lasso my favorite uh soccer manager you'd actually appreciate this he said it's the hope
00:45:17that kills you if we're taking these two games on face value would i rather be egypt the way they
00:45:22lost or us the way we lost i would take us interesting i would go egypt 10 times out of
00:45:2610 they were 2-0 over the defending i get it i get it but at least they showed pride
00:45:31they showed
00:45:31fight they looked good at least they gave their viewers something fun to watch yeah we had two
00:45:36minutes their players won't sleep for a week and that was it i haven't woken up yet our players are
00:45:41sleeping soundly their players won't sleep again until until i think the pain of not getting
00:45:47something you felt worthy and deserving of is far worse than the pain of of just like uh guys in
00:45:52the truck as far as that picture goes we get it all right we get it stephanie probably jesus
00:46:02welcome back to wake up bar so look at that that probably feels pretty good there guys that's your
00:46:08heisman trophy uh cj car leading the way arch and dante moore right behind him julian saying in the mix
00:46:16as well but we got brandon walker college football's number one media personality and he's
00:46:21going to let you know who why there should be some other people on this list this is brandon walker's
00:46:28wiseman it's called the wiseman because we often focus on the tippity tippity top of college football
00:46:35yeah we focus on three or four players but i would like to give you a reason why some of
00:46:39these guys
00:46:40past the top 10 and odds might win uh the heisman trophy this year and i do think it's a
00:46:45year
00:46:45i look at that cj car is the leader i notre dame quarterback hard not to say he's going to
00:46:49have
00:46:50arch manning great like all these guys are great up there yeah i darry mince in miami if i'm picking
00:46:54somebody top 10 at 12 to 1 i think i might pick him but we go deeper in the wiseman
00:46:59i got four guys
00:47:00what were you about to say well i know we can revisit car after let's get to the wise i
00:47:04got four
00:47:04four guys four guys past the top 10 and odds uh that you can look at and i think would
00:47:09be good
00:47:10bets to win the heisman trophy this year number one malachi tony malachi tony who i believe is still
00:47:1516 years old he's one of those guys that will forever be young uh but he was the most exciting
00:47:20player in college football last year he's going to be the most exciting uh college football player
00:47:23in college football this year uh there are years where not the best player wins the heisman but the
00:47:29most exciting guy wins the heisman tim brown in 87 desmond howard 91 reggie bush in 2005
00:47:34not the best players in college football but the most exciting players and that is him
00:47:38this year he has an ability to make plays that that uh will live on highlights forever
00:47:44he's plus 3,800 i like him he's got the brand too the you i mean brand's hell he's on
00:47:49a team
00:47:49that'll be in the playoff he's on a team that won the acc he's on a team that'll be in
00:47:53marquee games
00:47:53cover of college football 27 every week he's got a quarterback in dairy mince where they're going
00:47:57to throw the ball a lot he's also a guy that doesn't need a quarterback yeah like like you said
00:48:02like just like a quick little screen pass maybe in around like he'll he'll get production without
00:48:06quarterback helps now let's go deeper let's go deeper how about a little uh 65 to 1 drew
00:48:12mestamaker drew mestamaker oklahoma state coming over with his coach a lot of transfers i and listen
00:48:18i'd like to say welcome back to the oklahoma state program they were so consistent for so long under
00:48:23gundy uh and then they disappeared the last couple of years welcome back to them because i think they will
00:48:27be back this year as a uh as a contender in the big 12 and mestamaker is going to throw
00:48:31it almost
00:48:32every down he's going to throw for big numbers and he's going to be throwing and and in big games
00:48:36i like mestamaker as somebody who uh who jumps up heisman list he's 65 to 1 right yeah i was
00:48:41very wrong
00:48:42about oklahoma state in saying that ever since the passing of boone t pickings they just didn't
00:48:46have the financial sport why do you say his name wrong every time i every time i it's like it's
00:48:50lodged
00:48:50my brain that way i apologize guys the point is though i always said that you know post him they
00:48:56just didn't have the money that's not true they didn't have the belief yeah they didn't believe
00:48:59anymore in gundy morrison mestamaker has reignited said belief how about how about mestamaker last year
00:49:05they were a sleeping program only quarterback in the country to throw for over 4 000 yards uh led the
00:49:11country in quarterback rating uh was second in touchdowns oh he led in yards per attempt so that's
00:49:17crazy to me so he had volume throwing over for 4 000 but it wasn't like he was uh uh
00:49:23just throwing
00:49:24in a million times and checking down nine and a half yards per attempt for mestamaker last year
00:49:28this guy didn't even play quarterback in high school he showed up to a bowl game t bob never
00:49:34played quarterback all right i got a couple crazy it's a crazy story let's go deep bob t herbert let's
00:49:39go deepest right i got a couple of uh plus 10 thousands for you all right number one the first
00:49:45plus
00:49:4510 000 is cam coleman wide receiver university of texas uh he is jeremiah smith's the best player
00:49:53and best receiver in the country cam coleman not far behind him you just might not know it because
00:49:58he hasn't played for he stupidly went to auburn to play for bad quarterbacks and a bad coach the
00:50:02last few years now he is with a good offensive coach a good quarterback in a good program he'll be
00:50:08in big games he was incredible last year anytime they could get the ball to him he went and got
00:50:12it like
00:50:13that now he's with arch manning now he's with steve sarkeesian now he's out there uh in texas and if
00:50:19texas has been searching for answers too if he is the key that unlocks arch manning and unlocks this
00:50:24offense it is not out of the realm of possibility that he is the heisman front runner out there
00:50:28we saw it with um mac jones and davante smith that year if he is a dominant receiver enough to
00:50:34where he
00:50:34opens up everything i think he could get the heisman love and he's plus 10 000 if the texas o
00:50:40-line holds up
00:50:41which they had issues last year i think they're like right now maybe the best offensive college
00:50:47they have weapons everywhere they brought in so much in the portal and if you may see if arch makes
00:50:51the next jump the jump that everyone's expecting him to make i think they could be the best arch has
00:50:56to make a jump they they brought in two elite running backs they brought in cam coleman they had
00:51:01wingo wingo would be the number one without question at many places like he's a great receiver in his own
00:51:06right he just has a little drop problem but this guy is a game changer if he changes the game
00:51:11that
00:51:11much like if he doubles those stats which he could he absolutely could with a quarterback i think he's
00:51:17he's worth a flyer so i would say evo tex often is going to be elite i i still think
00:51:22ohio state's
00:51:22offense is good yeah i mean they return their whole office yeah they do they do they're the machine yeah
00:51:28uh now in terms of coleman i i agree with you i think he's probably the single biggest acquisition
00:51:35of the entire college football offseason in this hypothetical though if he does well enough to win
00:51:41the heisman yeah unlike mac jones yeah arch manning's going to be taking probably so like arch that means
00:51:47arch is balling out and it's going to be tough for him to overcome the the manning factor it will
00:51:52be
00:51:52very tough but he is worth more than plus 10 000 yeah i would agree with that again i think
00:51:57he's the
00:51:57single most exciting acquisition of the entire office like if you say that that jeremiah smith
00:52:02is the best receiver in the country yeah and then you say malachi tony who's also a receiver is right
00:52:06there too like one of those guys i believe is 15 to one one of those guys is 38 to
00:52:10one and this guy
00:52:11is plus 10 000 yeah no yeah it's good value and lastly and this one i need you guys to
00:52:16put on your uh
00:52:17your story glasses okay who is the who is the best running back in college football let's let's
00:52:22pretend everybody's healthy and there aren't uh there aren't some problems you know off the field
00:52:27as far as like he got shot ahmad hardy got shot this offseason this offseason he got shot and i
00:52:35don't know it's been very tight i don't i don't know where he is in his recovery i don't know
00:52:38all
00:52:39i know is this he is the best running back in college football yeah if he is healthy enough to
00:52:44play and he plays well who's got a better story of a comeback than ahmad hardy ahmad hardy at missouri
00:52:51is the running back i'm talking about he runs like a man possessed he is the best running back
00:52:55in college football without question the big question is will he be healthy enough to play
00:52:59will he be healthy enough to be good if those answers are yes my god what an inspirational story
00:53:05he would be and that would mean plus 10 000 is a is incredible price on him because he's the
00:53:12again
00:53:13the best running back in college football maybe a bit like mess to maker the team could potentially
00:53:17now he might not he i i don't i don't know he might not play at all he might not
00:53:21play it down
00:53:22in football i don't know i i have no idea again this has been kind of a secret the last
00:53:26couple i
00:53:27don't know if we're gonna see him all year i don't know if we're gonna see him at all but
00:53:30if we do see
00:53:31him that price is crazy i would also say that both ahmad hardy and mess to maker very good
00:53:39representations of some of the positives of nil and that like he started his career at ulm and in the
00:53:46past he would have said like i and what i mean by that is like we all want in life
00:53:50to if we perform
00:53:52we want to get our just recompense right we want to get paid what we deserve both mess to maker
00:53:57that was and ahmad hardy getting justice for their performance such a good word so needless
00:54:03i know you just you're kind of spiking the football you think it was superfluous a little bit yeah
00:54:08a little scan the dictionary every morning where do you come up with this i just read and it's just
00:54:13a
00:54:13great way to trick people into thinking like everybody's like you go to the he's gonna be so
00:54:18good in the dozen he knows words you gotta read a word and then you're like i don't know what
00:54:21that
00:54:21means you sprint to the dictionary oh yeah i immediately bust out my phone and i love learning
00:54:26new word it's like it's so delectable it's like getting a new little treat from the heavens
00:54:29what's a word what's a word that you you read your life your whole life and didn't realize that
00:54:34was the word eponymous mine was forever mine was rapport oh i would read it as rapper
00:54:40oh i would say the word rapport like i i i just never knew oh i know i have some
00:54:46like that uh
00:54:47apropos i still don't know gesture gesture it's gesture not gesture gesture is a board game right
00:54:54i still screw that one up uh vis-a-vis that's probably yeah that's vis-a-vis yeah exactly yeah
00:55:01i've been reading cancel me if you can by dave portnoy recently and uh there's no way vis-a-vis
00:55:06was in
00:55:06there it was not it was not in there no i'm not picking up on a lot of new vocab
00:55:10did you do the
00:55:10audio book i did the audio book seven days pronunciations are delectable as well i he does
00:55:17not know how to say misogynistic kyle what i just thought you had some thoughts oh no yeah i'm a
00:55:22i
00:55:23always fall victim to this because i read but i don't hear yep especially with cities i thought it
00:55:29was not sreed instead of naz reed oh i thought it was spelled like pronounced like nazi oh no oh
00:55:38yeah
00:55:40naz and that's why i've got ahmad hardy i don't think he's i used to think hermione was hermoyne
00:55:45forever yeah harry potter was tough yeah yeah well let me ask you this is kurt signetti the best
00:55:53sports figure in america i think i think there is a case to be made yes he's certainly the best
00:56:01we've got in college football um boy i'd have to really give that give that a look i i need
00:56:08i need
00:56:08to i need to marinate on that for a second katie's been so he's been annoying me lately to the
00:56:14point
00:56:14where like anytime i bring up like lsu or anything he's all like indiana big and like i think i'm
00:56:20turning the corner on indiana but there's a major indiana advocate for the last two years singing
00:56:25their praises when everybody else is saying it's fake that they're going to fall away i think i
00:56:29think i'm turning the corner and starting to hate indiana they're so interesting to me because i
00:56:33respect that coaching staff and what they've done so much that their roster will not be as good this
00:56:38year and their schedule is tougher but i believe in the coaching staff's ability to win so much that
00:56:44i'm going to put them top five and i don't even do that with like georgia if i see that
00:56:48georgia is
00:56:48taking a step back at quarterback or other positions i'm like well i don't know the kirby
00:56:52is is the coach that can make them go 12 and 0 yeah and i think signetti is a guy
00:56:57with his staff
00:56:58it's really more the staff than just signetti uh that i think they get to 12 and 0 just by
00:57:02sheer
00:57:03coaching ability well i mean they're the only group in the country i say that about with their rise i'd
00:57:07say that's fair also the the two transfer quarterback years like o'rourke taking such a massive leap and then
00:57:17feel like signetti is going to be able to consistently make that happen which is a bit
00:57:22odd because it shouldn't be possible to keep doing that but who knows he might do it a third year
00:57:28in a
00:57:28row but then he has and now joshua i mean yeah and joshua already has like crazy stats coming in
00:57:32like
00:57:32better than both mendoza and o'rourke had yeah where does it keep up it's four it's four straight if
00:57:39you go back to jamie todd sentao was a uh nothing quarterback at colorado state made a massive jump uh
00:57:45sunbelt conference player of the year and jordan mcleod same type of deal transfer from arizona
00:57:50massive jump uh so it's beyond two years he's uh yeah and if you can go further back cole johnson
00:57:56was was benched before that and then he threw 40 touchdowns first year so joshua joshua good choice
00:58:02yeah good choice yeah uh cj carr is interesting to me on this list because i was super impressed with
00:58:10cj carr last year and i entered this season very impressed but i've started to read all the
00:58:16college football magazines to get ready for the season and whatnot i saw him on your desk and and
00:58:20i started thinking about this um he had a pretty friendly environment with those two running backs
00:58:28last year they still don't have the most elite receiving core especially not some of the other
00:58:32quarterbacks on this list it just it was a very quarterback friendly offense that he was operating in
00:58:38where everybody was worried about love and price and then he got to be that next option he's going
00:58:43to have to be the guy this year okay which i think works in his favor okay i think in
00:58:49his first year
00:58:49starter he needed the running back friendly he needed to be eased into the pool yeah now it's his pool
00:58:55now now it's and i think the receivers the receiving core is a little bit better than you give
00:58:59him credit okay uh but now he's going to sink or swim based on his ability and not the running
00:59:05backs ability and he's going to be in the schedule is very very very very very friendly they're going
00:59:11to go 11 and 1 or 12 and oh he's going to be the face of it i think naturally
00:59:15he's just going to be
00:59:16there i mean the one game is miami right and then aside from that there really isn't one big moment
00:59:21that would be my pushback is maybe you wouldn't have a like signature moment in a big time game
00:59:25but brandon's right very very friendly schedule yeah like what mendoza did to penn state last year
00:59:30well i mean i mean that was the moment that's when we declared him the heisman winner and
00:59:34it ended up being the case dante moore's also been intriguing here uh so dan landing i think
00:59:40has been fantastic on oregon i know you say can't win the big game he's six and six against top
00:59:4410
00:59:44teams he now has a 23 to 0 shutout underneath his belt in a college football playoff game but both
00:59:50coordinators leaving for head coaching jobs it's going to be very interesting to see how landing
00:59:56replaces those guys and he enters the echelon of head coaches that can roll along with with new faces
01:00:01at such key positions like and especially offensively with will stein because look what
01:00:05stein did with bo nix's career look what he did with dante moore but again dante moore is someone who
01:00:10he's the big recruit coming out of high school goes to ucla because he wants to play immediately
01:00:14makes a very mature decision you know what i'm gonna take a step back i'm gonna sit i'm gonna get
01:00:18better and then his first year starting was unreal last year but i feel like he kind of gets treated
01:00:23as a
01:00:24as a known quantity like he's already hitting ceiling to me the the question with him is just how bad
01:00:29he
01:00:29was against good defenses the second they got against good defense at our organ offense went
01:00:33in the tank and which is where but like that would be like where in a second year starting you
01:00:39could
01:00:39expect i think arguably like a big leap forward yeah but again new coordinator like i i don't know i
01:00:46i need to work on my belief of dante moore because i don't have it i i don't have it
01:00:51and i don't want
01:00:51to hate on the guy but i i just i believe in these other guys way more feels good to
01:00:57talk college
01:00:57football coming up next we actually have a college football headline as well as some others
01:01:02to get into so enjoy that beautiful chicago skyline and we'll be back with more wake up a student
01:01:08wake up what
01:01:09so connor you're you're fully in on the penn state kool-aid then
01:01:16yeah man like you lose both your best running back tamp you ever had both your top pass rushes
01:01:21you're placing with iowa state players yeah and you're gonna be better iowa state was not a bad team
01:01:25exactly they're fine yeah they're fine you're fine in the big 12 and now you're going they were
01:01:31better than penn state last year big 10 it's more of a change in philosophy yeah coming off of last
01:01:35year yeah this seems gonna be better than the team that we had last year that went six and six
01:01:38in the
01:01:38regular season and you got one of those those terribly easy big 10 schedules yeah they did they
01:01:43did look out there yeah i'm kind of buying baylor this year i think they could go like 11 and
01:01:481 10 and 2
01:01:50uh baylor team that ohio state and liam blutman yeah they're gonna run the football 27 yeah shout
01:01:56out the after dark stream they've been playing for 13 hours straight the boys are really improving
01:01:59i broke the picture i'm tired of the picture what i broke the picture yeah i'm tired of the damn
01:02:03picture yeah all right truck we get it that that was funny like the first 350 times connor i broke
01:02:10the
01:02:10picture you no longer have that access did you end up getting footage of it for social media because
01:02:14brandon did in a fit of uh superstar diva rage took the picture and threw it on the ground and
01:02:21then stomped the glass with his feet listen production tried to put it back in here and
01:02:26the two million dollar man said hell no get it the hell out of here we're a company full of
01:02:30losers
01:02:31his penn state team was embarrassing last year your lsu team fired the coach my team made the playoff
01:02:36and because and embarrassed themselves no and yet i was at i was at one game where we lost to
01:02:42texas
01:02:43mississippi state lost texas and apparently it's the funniest thing ever we just got a picture for
01:02:47from now to all time it was no we're done we're done with it we're moving we're moving the calendar
01:02:51to the next one we're not on here stomped on it you can hear the glass shatter uh everywhere yeah
01:03:00the safety hazard i'm a little monochromatic today aren't i speaking of monochromatic a little bit
01:03:09yeah yes white monster energies you kind of look like a giant white monster energy speaking of the
01:03:15big 12 how about this the big 12 has a new conference sponsor and that is monster energy
01:03:24as now the big 12 will be officially known as uh monster energy big 12 football is how you have
01:03:31to
01:03:31now look no they won't shout out phx uh we tend to like around these parts but i do love
01:03:38the idea
01:03:38yes that the big 12 is now monster energy big 12 football are you gonna do that all year so
01:03:41you
01:03:42legally have to say whenever you mention monster energy big 12 football so when the championship
01:03:47game is getting ready to be played in december you're gonna have to say this this weekend
01:03:50it's the monster energy big 12 championship game uh a thousand percent yeah i mean what do you yeah
01:03:54putting me big what else what else would i say i i'm torn on this like once once any team
01:04:01or league did a sponsorship with anybody like it's all it's all whatever right it what like the
01:04:08it's been the we breached it it's it's it's it's here now so i'm not gonna hate on them but
01:04:14at the same
01:04:14time could you see the big 10 or the sec agreeing to a deal that's only worth 20 million dollars
01:04:20no the
01:04:21deal the deal's crazy seems like a crazy good deal to me for for uh for for for monster energy
01:04:26here
01:04:27to to become big 12 monster energy football or monster energy big 12 football excuse me um if the sec
01:04:34were to do this who would it be uh yellowwood uh i did see some memes about waffle house
01:04:42that would be fantastic whataburger maybe a little bucky's action even though he is an a&m guy
01:04:48i don't know what the big 10 would be sec by the way uh what's that that's in the sec
01:04:53well i know but
01:04:54you'd be like you know it'd be it'd be favoring maybe like you'd be sure favorite like one over
01:04:58over all of the others waffle house probably yeah i would love waffle house i was trying to think
01:05:02about the big 10 though i don't think they got sponsors there's too many competing chicken spots
01:05:05down south there's like just too many brands you know louisiana has three chicken empires yeah
01:05:10crispy crunchy canes and popeyes so and sliders i shout out to them god bless them yeah how can you
01:05:18put
01:05:18crispy crunchy in the same sentence with popeye look no you've got to look it up bro because gas stations
01:05:22they're in gas stations everywhere right but that uh we're talking popeyes's i popeyes no one no one
01:05:28outside of louisiana's ever heard i've never heard of that you know i look look up the numbers i i
01:05:33would
01:05:33imagine that crispy crunchy would rival that of the other do you think the owner the ceo of crispy
01:05:39crunchy is a billionaire well todd graves and canes is a bit different than most fast food moguls because
01:05:46at a certain point he instead of franchising he bought back the franchise so i'm pretty sure unless
01:05:52something's changed recently todd graves owns every single raising cake wow like like i don't even
01:06:00think al copeland and popeyes owned every single well he definitely did not own every single popeyes
01:06:05but shout out to all three you do seem to know more about this than i was anticipating shout out
01:06:09to the
01:06:09chicken triumvirate of louisiana did not expect you to name the ceo or the owner of popeyes i was not
01:06:16prepared for that popeye um but yeah the big 10 i don't think you can do this with though because
01:06:20like it's too fast yeah they're they're all over the country no but now but now we have california
01:06:24culver slash in and out yeah exactly yeah this is a prime example of what your stance is on state
01:06:31versus federal government i would say i agree where should it be up to the what are you agreeing with
01:06:36what are you saying should it be up to the individual teams because like wisconsin went out and
01:06:40got culvers as an individual jersey sponsor yeah but if the big 10 as a whole said every single team
01:06:46is going to have culvers on their courts on their fields on their jerseys then that wouldn't make a
01:06:51whole lot of sense for the usc so you think it's the state's rights issue i i do believe in
01:06:54this case
01:06:54yeah it's a state's rights type of thing and if a state wants to go do what they want to
01:06:58do
01:06:58then that's totally fine the bottom line there's a bad precedent for that connor
01:07:03when it comes to sponsors in jersey patches i think it should be up to the big 12
01:07:08laying down the entire like blanket and saying everybody in the big 12 is going to have monster
01:07:12energy i find that a bit odd but i think it rocks i mean but it's monster energy the fact
01:07:16that it's
01:07:16monster energy football rocks the thing about the big 12 that i think that they're doing really well
01:07:21is they're kind of operating as a unit in terms of they're like we have to stick together and be
01:07:25strong
01:07:26because we don't have the muscle of the big 10 or the sec and i think that member institutions are
01:07:32like we have to be in lockstep your mark is leading the hell out of that yeah i was gonna
01:07:35say if
01:07:36nothing else your mark is is a dynamic and forward thinking leader that tends to be active instead
01:07:42of reactive in fact you maybe could have used him as the head of the ncaa back in the mark
01:07:47embert era
01:07:48because like that's that's what went so wrong with everything was them being reactive and sitting on
01:07:52their hands here at barstool uh we tend to celebrate um and and we love uh
01:08:01uh the spectrum of of autism and all the wonderful quirks and and seven sovereignty that can come with
01:08:09it i mean not you know um but the point is there was a camper uh that claimed the video
01:08:16that has now
01:08:17gone viral that he could recite every single nfl team's regular season results going all the way back
01:08:26to 2009 dude watch this
01:08:30lost to the jets what week two they lost to the texans
01:08:34you're saying the scores no not the scores hold up oh then
01:08:40oh okay okay no no no okay no and this is why stop stop it right here um this is
01:08:45why this is why
01:08:46this is awesome it's fine but like in this era of putting everything on on on film or film and
01:08:54everything being a clip and everything we're watching that we're like oh my god in 1988
01:08:591987 there were three million kids that could do that no because we had we could all recite i can
01:09:06recite you that the lineup of the expos every game and i wasn't even an expos fan in 1988 like
01:09:10we could
01:09:11all do that we all had to remember we all had to read about our team and newspapers and all
01:09:15that
01:09:15baseball digest yeah baseball digest so usa today we all had to do that crap back then like we
01:09:20my generation had a lot of these i agree it's special now but it shouldn't be and he wasn't
01:09:25even naming the scores i agree with the sentiment that that we have that we have lost some recipes
01:09:31guess what 1998 mississippi state lost lsu 41 to 6 i know the score of every game what week was
01:09:36it
01:09:37it was in late september exactly that is the thing it was only week four this guy is going fine
01:09:42fine
01:09:42do no scores do mississippi state's 2025 win loss last year win loss last year well we went
01:09:50five we went five and five and eight okay uh wait let me see if i can do it so
01:09:55i don't know that i
01:09:56can do the who the crappy teams would be were oh i think you open oh wow oh wow oh
01:10:00wow and yet this
01:10:01kid has all 32 teams the last 17 years ago it's memorized and you're not impressed you beat southern
01:10:06miss on the road at in hattiesburg correct yeah and then uh you went on the road and beat arizona
01:10:10state at arizona state oh that was at home that was at home but that's week two yeah uh and
01:10:15then week
01:10:15three nobody was we beat in week three week three uh you played uh you've already finished with an a
01:10:23huh begins with an a abilene christian alcorn state yes okay and then uh and then the fourth week and
01:10:30then i can do the rest of it georgia lost to georgia well eventually we did i don't know who
01:10:35we beat
01:10:35somebody we were four no local to what yeah northern yeah beat north illinois then we lost
01:10:41to tennessee and over you've already lost brandon huh you've already lost but i'm not doing a clip
01:10:46butchering this i'm not doing a clip i can do this and i can do it better like from from
01:10:50like 1990 or
01:10:51hey maybe this wasn't doing it for the clip maybe this was just a guy getting up in front of
01:10:56the sports
01:10:56play-by-play camp he was he nailed buddies and one of the the friends in the crowd took the
01:11:00video and put
01:11:01out there yeah he was not clip farming i don't want to hate i don't want to hate on this
01:11:05kid
01:11:05i want to say uh pursue your dream is being in sports broadcasting that's what me and connor did
01:11:11and thanks to brandon walker we made it hopefully he doesn't hate on you anymore he believed in us i
01:11:15hope he believes in you and i wish i could have gone to that camp when i was that age
01:11:19i did not know
01:11:19that camp was an actual thing i'm sorry gun pursue your dreams everyone in that camp go for it also
01:11:26if
01:11:26you're gonna do that name the scores kid name way better than us that's crazy
01:11:30you can do the scores all right we got a very fun baseball bonanza game show coming up next here
01:11:35a game show yeah the one that i beat you on yesterday welcome back here it is emo's baseball
01:11:42bonanza game show edition yep take it away baseball bonanza we're having our all-star game we have our
01:11:49four brightest minds in baseball and parcel sports here to compete in a game of for trivia uh you're
01:11:56earned points if you get the question correct first team razor their flag gets the guess first
01:12:01they get it wrong the other team it's the chance to steal are you ready yes i would just like
01:12:04to say
01:12:04for the record putting the two guys that like seemingly have photographic memories on the same
01:12:09team seems crazy a little this isn't a memorization game i'm just saying kind of is uh brandon kb
01:12:16versus connor and i'm sorry bob t hebert let's go with the first question this is for 100 points
01:12:22this player just hit home run number 300 last night bro get the flag up brandon walker give me the

01:12:48shout out shohei i'm trying to figure out this shut up i don't want to hear it all right this
01:12:53is
01:12:53another round one question this should be easy 100 points hands together neither one of us can raise
01:12:57it if we need this national league pitcher allowed a career-worst nine earned runs and a loss one day
01:13:02connor griffin christopher sanchez unfortunately that's a philly he's a philly fan let's go one one
01:13:08that's that's bs that's correct connor one it's one no it is 100 to 100 this is america the scores

01:13:21question of the first round this pitcher leads them will be in both era and strikeouts see bob hebert
01:13:28uh jacob miserowski no he didn't know he just raised his flag for the team it's a team i'm gonna
01:13:33give you
01:13:33that one for now it's jacob miserowski but i'm gonna have a a tighter clock on you next all right
01:13:39okay
01:13:39all right round two and round two it shortens up a little bit the time is a little shorter we're
01:13:44playing as a team 200 to 100. it's a team flag probably talking to the bike uh this slugger
01:13:49currently currently leads the al in home runs and rbi brain walker jordan alvarez yeah yeah that's
01:13:56correct kb well done it is uh i'm gonna have trouble doing math here 350 to 200 now their uniforms
01:14:02this
01:14:02year uh i believe that's their city connect got that um yeah all right what is are they sponsored by
01:14:08oxy cotton um kind of looks like it um next question uh this player will be in both something
01:14:19yeah go ahead brandon these aren't questions you're you're making statements and then they're
01:14:23they're word puzzles okay who is the slugger that currently leads mlb in both home runs and
01:14:28strikeouts batting that was us that's kyle schwarber i i think it's that was how many feelings are you
01:14:37didn't you didn't get it and you didn't get it there are a lot of phillies in the all-star
01:14:41game
01:14:42right emo yeah a lot of phillies in the all-star game watch on fox 450 to 350 last question
01:14:47around
01:14:48number two this player is the oh sorry question sure question who is the only player with double
01:14:56digit triples so far this season brandon walker i don't know what do you think it is five four
01:15:02four three carol con air corbin carol that is correct so it's 600 to 450 um nasty yeah round
01:15:12three okay um these are worth 500 points wow i've decided to make these worth 500 wow can i just
01:15:20say
01:15:20ebo next time brandon interrupts you in the middle of a question you have to make him answer the question
01:15:24yeah this game i did answer the question no no no i'm saying you keep cutting the ball wave your
01:15:27flag
01:15:28this is this is the score there's a lot of nonsense going on here all right uh for 500 points
01:15:33what
01:15:34first baseman led the player ballot players ballot and votes earned its place in the ale all-star
01:15:38starting lineup duck butte damn it that really is uh that is incorrect it is not duck butte you have
01:15:47five seconds to counter five four three zach musty no no no back to the other side no they just
01:15:54said
01:15:54win are you yeah screw the rules i have money go jock hurts jock hurts is incorrect back to the
01:16:01other side nick kurt kurtz yes kurtz that is correct let's go 500 points i believe you guys have 1100
01:16:10is
01:16:10it 1100 to 450 i don't even know i lost track of score 950 to 600 yeah that is correct
01:16:15nick kurtz has
01:16:16been a monster this season um he'll be starting for the american league um the last question around number
01:16:23three uh what hitter leads the ale in batting average for the team with the best record in the
01:16:27american league kyle bauer diaz yandy diaz already yeah yandy diaz is correct we just got to raise it
01:16:35did you know that then all right now this is the bonus super bonus round we as we do every
01:16:42time on
01:16:43these evo's baseball finance it is the super bonus round you were going to wager how many points uh you
01:16:48want in this final round uh how many do we have yeah how many it's 1100 we have 950 yeah
01:16:57you yeah
01:17:00oh wait i thought that was the wager no you're wagering the number of
01:17:04read the wager then the answer okay i'll just write it up here i guess
01:17:07what yeah that's it that's what we're doing this is a horribly designed all right yeah agreed

01:17:32you already wrote your wager you you you just you hold that thing crazy here we go i got it
01:17:38revealing answers in three two one bobby witt jr
01:17:45bobby witt bobby witt what do you know we both wagered all of our points this game is so we
01:17:51have
01:17:51more points this game is so dumb congratulations to the experts they win again i think you're now
01:17:563-0 in baseball bonanza you'll be back next week uh to defend your crown ow

01:18:16all-star
01:18:16game watch the home run derby uh we're going to break watch the world cup all right okay
01:18:23it's a dark i just realized i could have looked in the bible our show document i could have seen
01:18:36the answers yeah well you should have done your homework all the answers weren't there welcome
01:18:41back i said everything on the homework would be on the test and you didn't study closing out the show
01:18:45after the farce that was evo once again homework is such a rigging the game for his best boy brandon
01:18:52the man who made all his dreams come true he had like nine fillies in there for connor now of
01:18:56course
01:18:56he's going to try to prop him up anyway there was a story that we didn't get to the headlines
01:19:00that was
01:19:00pretty interesting did anybody see seth wickersham from espn did anybody see the
01:19:06very long read that he released on espn yesterday when he was embedded with the broncos
01:19:11no so it's it's it's a really great read just in general if you want to get like a true
01:19:16behind
01:19:16the scenes look at what goes on in terms of game planning and trying to win an nfl game
01:19:22it was during a fascinating time it was right after bo nix got hurt before the afc championship
01:19:28very cool read within it though is a pretty funny anecdote that i want to get y'all's opinion on
01:19:35because per seth's reporting uh sean payton was planning on potentially hiring bill belichick as
01:19:43broncos head coach until he reached 15 wins so he would have enough to break don shula's career
01:19:49record of 347 then payton's would well payton during that time would temporarily step down
01:19:54he would run the offense and then after belichick became the all-time leader he would move back to
01:20:00being head coach that is and i've been following sports a long time i've been following sports for
01:20:0647 years now that's the dumbest thing i have ever heard in my entire life it's a dumb idea by
01:20:13sean
01:20:13payton it would be done by bill belichick it'd be done by the nfl to allow it to be done
01:20:17by the broncos
01:20:17to do it it's done by the reporters or reported like somebody just offhandedly said this one day
01:20:23what what if dude what if what belichick came here and got his 15 wins yeah that's not real sean's
01:20:28like
01:20:28you know sean just said it to be just i guess just to say that he loves yeah that he
01:20:32loves bill
01:20:32you know what would be awesome if i just took a step back and belichick came and broke the record
01:20:36here like there's no way those there's no way that to happen there's no way sean payton very very
01:20:42famously an absolute control freak sports writing is a mistake the entire piece starts with him in
01:20:48vance joseph's ass because oh wow uh in the playoff game previous they they brought a practice
01:20:56squad player up to the to the to the game day roster and then he didn't play a single snap
01:21:00and even though he's like the 48th guy on game payton's like reaming giving he is absolutely
01:21:05given the defense one over uh such kind of a mismanagement and oversight so to say that he
01:21:11would cede control to belichick in that way feels um it's just a weird no no no but i mean
01:21:18it all goes
01:21:19back to probably like parcells and everything and you know that whole that whole family and
01:21:23ass show him respect it would be a cool real life mr 3000 type thing because he'd be bill belichick
01:21:29has been oh is that the movie where bernie mac came back and had to get a couple more hits
01:21:35to hit
01:21:353000 that's right i never saw it it's pretty good i never saw juana man either well that's not pretty
01:21:42good that one's bad really but the other one is is pretty good yeah although bernie mac is it it
01:21:47wasn't
01:21:47athletic it it's it's kind of a stretch there but i think hmm is my favorite bernie mac character
01:21:54bad santa i'm not sure uh ask wub what research does real seagriff have to do with lions has he
01:22:02never watched the lion king it's pretty accurate female lions hunt in packs for the pride a single
01:22:06male lion runs the pride until he's usurped uh so you know how earlier we talked about sometimes
01:22:10when you read a magazine it may be dated well john dated we already did this research and connor was
01:22:15right so i don't think connor was right no the male lion the male is there on its own he's
01:22:20not
01:22:20the the female lions are the hunters it will it will get behind vegetation in the same way in the
01:22:26same way holland sits there and lets all of his teammates do a lot of the dirty work but when
01:22:31it
01:22:31comes to showtime he dominates what about a lion versus like a tuna oh like a big albacore
01:22:38right a lion first i can't i can't do it going up against an 800 pound tuna with 20 no
01:22:46yeah i'm not
01:22:46doing it i'm not doing it lions don't like water is that other guys that's the other guys it's the
01:22:50other guys he can do the whole you did that whole monologue i did the whole thing yeah we just
01:22:54become
01:22:54are you so red right now because i get embarrassed to do it you ain't first you'll ask i get
01:22:59embarrassed
01:22:59to do it guys host crispy crunchy chickens at gas stations liquor stores and t-bops right it's
01:23:04absolutely worth it yeah i just looked it up crispy crunchy with over he never said it wasn't worth
01:23:08it 3 200 locations in 47 states the way you're hitting those numbers that's a lot of locations
01:23:16that's a lot but it's also there's more popeyes right canes has 950 locations but i mean location
01:23:23doesn't tell the whole story i'm just saying you know sometimes there's like secret empires that we're
01:23:28not aware of i don't think enough people are aware that crispy crunchy chicken is always there
01:23:32brothers pizza yeah exactly same same type deal yeah i wish my grandfather had started a chicken
01:23:38empire wow 3 100 locations for popeyes i wish my grandfather had done anything worthwhile could i

01:24:14perfect buddy big steve ask wub who's your sleeper team making college football play out of the american
01:24:18conference and why is it army are we still doing automatic bids for g5 teams dude don't get me
01:24:25started is that still is that still a thing or did we listen we have a committee and it's so
01:24:30stupid
01:24:30they're like oh hands are tied i gotta put two in there if mississippi state wanted to get the automatic
01:24:36bid they can just come play in the sunbelt if it's so easy to win come play the sunbelt it's
01:24:40it's
01:24:40geographically convenient you have a regional rival rival in southern miss it'd be great be fun you run
01:24:45the conference you go 12-0 13-0 every year you make playoff who is going to win the american
01:24:50uh good conference i mean it got completely yeah i mean they got rated all the coaches rated
01:24:57i don't know except for army i'll give it a look i will say army and navy i've only been
01:25:03reading power
01:25:03five army and navy do have the uh the now unique skill of like roster continuity like no one really
01:25:12has yeah that's true like they do that's fair so year over year and year out they may be down
01:25:17or up
01:25:17but at least they're the same guys playing at each other it would be sick if an academy made
01:25:23uh i think it's more likely than not that the the academies are good every year for the rest of
