00:02Netflix is expanding into short-form video through licensing deals with major U.S. publishers,
00:08including Penske Media, BuzzFeed, Condé Nast, Hearst Magazines, and People Inc. according to
00:14Variety. Hearst confirmed the deal to AFP. The content will launch August 3rd across the U.S.,
00:21Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Videos will range from two minutes to
00:26more than 20 minutes and include brands such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, and Bon Appetit.
00:33The move follows changing viewing habits as YouTube usage rose in 2025 while Netflix usage
00:38declined. Netflix also launched a vertical video feed in April to drive mobile engagement.
00:44Netflix did not immediately respond to Benzinga's request for comment.
00:47The company reports earnings on July 16th.
