00:00But let's get to that, because the United States went up there and got there.
00:04And I hate the way – go ahead and get your ass kicked for me.
00:09You know what I mean?
00:10So let me go.
00:10But they didn't even get their ass kicked good.
00:12They final scored their ass kicked,
00:14because they still had me in the entire first part of the second half
00:18where it looked like they were the aggressor finally,
00:21putting pressure on them.
00:22It felt like they're going to score at some point.
00:24So I'm in here.
00:25And the next thing you know, the goofy – listen, you ain't had to have watched soccer.
00:30Or be a aficionado, whatever I'm trying to say.
00:33Aficionado.
00:34There it is.
00:34Soccer watcher to understand that was comical,
00:41what happened with the third goal and the goalie.
00:44That was silly.
00:45Hell, I'd rather than just use his hand and set up a penalty kick.
00:50I'm sure they followed him.
00:51They had a better shot than what he did.
00:55Anybody could look at there and say, well, that looks like little kids.
00:58I've never even seen that.
01:01Kids soccer matches.
01:04But overall, like, just get your ass kicked.
01:07If it had been 4-1 and they just got their ass rocked, no,
01:09but I had to hang in there for a good, you know, 70 minutes of that thing
01:14because I felt like, well, they might have a shot here.
01:16Instead of it, you just look up and now it's 4-1 and they've gotten their ass kicked.
01:19But the way this thing went, obviously there is a little bit of both, right?
01:25But do you think this was more of a choke job by the U.S.
01:30or more that Belgium was just better?
01:33Obviously, both is the correct answer.
01:37But which was it more of?
01:39713-572-416, YouTube and Twitch, you can jump in.
01:42Which was it more of?
01:43Was it more that the United States team choked or that they were just going up against a team that
01:50was better?
01:51No, I think they just choked.
01:53You think it's more choked?
01:53I think they no-showed.
01:55I think they appeared to be outclassed, which would tell you that the other team was better,
01:59which obviously I'm not going to disagree with.
02:03But I don't think that was the case.
02:04I think it was a choke job.
02:06I think they couldn't even pass the ball.
02:09They couldn't even – like, the other team was doing the simple things, like, savagely well.
02:18You could see it as they were just –
02:19I didn't think they were going to give you that insight.
02:21Yeah, I'm talking about just passing back and forth and making the defense work
02:26and making the defense adjust.
02:27I don't even think they were doing savagely well, man.
02:28I think they were just passing back and forth.
02:30But the Americans were so bad at it that it made it look like they were, like, exceptional at it
02:37and the U.S. was just – was poor at it.
02:40Like, it reminded me of – in our football, in our American football,
02:44it reminded me of a team that had an awful game plan and never adjusted.
02:50Like, whatever they were doing to almost, like, bum rush them on defense,
02:55to never let them get comfortable and just pass it around.
02:58I mean, whatever they were doing, the U.S. never had an answer for.
03:03Never adjusted.
03:06Never – I mean, never did anything different.
03:09Everything was extremely difficult, literally, when they possessed the ball.
03:13Not on any part of the field.
03:14On every part of the field, when they possessed the ball, it was made difficult.
03:18So, look, I just don't – the opponent was better, yes.
03:21I don't believe they were that much better to where they just forced America
03:25to look – America's going to own a lot of that.
03:27Like, there are some times where you watch – in any sport, you watch games
03:33and you're like, they made them play bad.
03:37Yeah.
03:38They couldn't handle the pressure.
03:39They forced them into it, yeah.
03:40They just made – they made them play bad.
03:44Like, I don't –
03:45Like, the Texans defense does that a lot on Sundays.
03:48And I'll be honest with you.
03:49I think the Patriots – a part of what happened with the collapse of the offense,
03:53I think the Patriots defense made them play bad.
03:56I think there was some – there was some of that in there.
03:59In this game, I think there was some of that with Belgium.
04:02But, again, you don't have to be an avid soccer watcher to go out there
04:08and look like the ball is in the box.
04:12The first goal, the U.S. just – there's three guys that's there to clear it.
04:20They all look at each other like a pop-up.
04:23Like somebody else has called it.
04:25None of them there.
04:27Like if you'd have told me the Belgian player wouldn't yell,
04:30I got it, I got it!
04:31And they all just stood back and thought it was one of them who said it.
04:34And he just snuck in it.
04:35That's what – he just snuck in between them and took it for them.
04:39And then nobody was ready on the other side either.
04:41I mean, it was just – it was stuff over and over again that just appeared to be –
04:47yeah, I know Belgium's better.
04:49But they just don't seem – like especially if you've watched this run of the U.S. the whole way.
04:55They didn't seem as aggressive as they have been against the other teams.
04:59Now, maybe Belgium scared them off of playing their normal game.
05:03But they didn't seem as – they just seemed tentative the entire start of everything.
05:12And then I thought once they tied the game – and by the way, Tyler, at that point,
05:16it was eight shots to one on goal.
05:19It was like 13 to four at half.
05:21It was eight shots to one.
05:23But somehow it was tied.
05:24I thought, okay, that building is charged.
05:27All right, the 12th man was out there.
05:3112th.
05:33Was out there.
05:34Wrong-o.
05:35Trademarked bitches.
05:36I just wanted to check and see if Tyler was with us.
05:39Like they – they're rolling.
05:42And it's like, all right, man, they're getting their asses kicked
05:44and it's showing on the scoreboard side.
05:46And they came right back down there.
05:49And just turnovers just – it was – it just seemed like –
05:53honest to God, the moment was just too big for them.
05:58And they had reached the space where they walked in.
06:01I heard Carly Lloyd say it after the game.
06:04She said, it felt like they lost that game before they got off the bus.
06:08I'll agree with that.
06:09It felt like they had gotten themselves in the mindset that, all right, all right,
06:14I got to be careful.
06:15I can't get beat instead of going after it and being aggressive.
06:17That was –
06:18I don't know soccer scheme at all.
06:20But it appeared like any time the ball would be, quote, unquote,
06:24inside the hashes and we had possession of it,
06:27they were going to blitz whoever had the ball
06:30and force a quick pass and not let us think.
06:35They'd let us hang out on the sidelines with the ball all we wanted.
06:38Just hang out wherever you wanted.
06:39But anywhere in the middle of the field, anywhere between the hashes,
06:42they were going to blitz us.
06:43Somebody – some man was going to come running right at you.
06:46Somebody was going to be right on your back and not allow you to just field the pass.
06:51And then when you flipped it on the other end,
06:54they could just dribble the ball all the way to the box.
06:56It seemed like they –
06:57It's like they just kept backing up.
06:59It was 13-4, I believe, at halftime shots on goal, and it felt like 13-4.
07:04They were getting that kick from the right or left side
07:07to where they kick it towards the goal and somebody tried to head it in.
07:11I mean, they were getting that at ease.
07:14Like, just however – and then we would get over there
07:16and we'd kick it off one of their knees.
07:18They'd double-team us.
07:19Like, it was – schematically, I think it was bad.
07:21Take that for what it's worth.
07:22I don't know the scheme of soccer, but it looked like we had no chance.
07:25As I always say, the polo on the sideline didn't appear to have a game plan worth a damn.
07:31I got to be honest.
07:31And he damn sure didn't adjust anything worth a damn.
07:35So, I think it was all bad all the way around.
07:38I got to be honest.
07:39The whole way that they were looking and how they came out, it didn't –
07:45I mean, I wonder, were they following a game plan?
07:49Like, they seemed so intimidated right off the bat.
07:53And he seemed to not recognize them.
07:56Yeah.
07:56The way he was – I'm not going to lie to you, fellas.
07:59I felt this way going in.
08:01And Belgium, obviously, it was a part of them.
08:04It did feel like a little bad juju with the whole flow thing.
08:10With Flo Balligan being able to play again.
08:13And kind of out of nowhere right the day before, it did kind of feel like a little bit of
08:19–
08:20You are fake news.
08:22Like, oh, that kind of got away with one.
08:25Yeah, I don't think –
08:27But also, like, who else is –
08:30We've never seen a red card overturned like that.
08:32We've never seen one that bad.
08:34We've never seen that.
08:35I don't know.
08:37I was going to say, Tyler, you can count how many minutes, how many years you've got soccer knowledge.
08:44What are you going to say?
08:45Oh, this month.
08:46Like, it did kind of feel like –
08:48And then, obviously, Belgium.
08:50Belgium, they were – that was something they were talking about.
08:54Afterwards, they were saying it.
08:56And then, what did they put on Twitter to overturn that is what they put out there.
09:02Well played.
09:03I didn't see that, but well played by them, if that is indeed what they did.
09:07It was – I don't know.
09:08The entire world will look for excuses to hate us.
09:10That's for sure.
09:11The beauty of it is, for Belgium, is they – it happened and you won anyway.
09:16And you won convincingly.
09:17Yeah.
09:17You know what I mean?
09:18So, it's – if he had not played and you don't won four to one, especially with how the United
09:24States played,
09:25then it would have been, well, that's a – everybody discount their win because we didn't have our best player.
09:31It happened.
09:32We had him.
09:33We got our ass kicked anyway.
09:35Belgium should be proud of the effort.
09:37Yeah.
09:38Speaking of ass kicked yesterday, Homer Mike.
09:45Oh, boy.
09:47That was – that was – that was as bad as the United States.
09:52If we were the type of show that did a poll, the poll today would be, who got their ass
09:59kicked more?
09:59The U.S. men's soccer team or Mike Burroughs himself?
10:04Who got –
10:04Who should get it worse?
10:07Pulisic or Burroughs?
10:08Yeah, Pulisic or Burroughs.
10:10Burroughs.
10:10No.
10:11Who got their ass kicked more?
10:12Pulisic or Burroughs.
