London Pride: Everything you need to know

00:00Pride is almost upon us, so here is everything you need to know about the celebration of the LGBTQ plus
00:06community in under one minute.
00:08Taking place on the 4th of July, more than 35,000 people will march from Hyde Park Corner towards Piccadilly
00:15Circus, past Trafalgar Square, before finishing outside Big Ben.
00:19They'll set off at midday and reach Whitehall around 6pm.
00:23There are six stages featuring live performances, the main stage in Trafalgar Square, the global majority stage in Golden Square,
00:30the cabaret stage on Dean Street, the trans and non-binary stage in Soho Square, the women's stage in Leicester
00:37Square and finally the family area at Victoria Embankment Gardens.
00:41M&EK, Joel Corey and the West London Queer Choir are amongst the performers featured, while rumours have been swirling
00:48that Madonna may make an appearance, although this hasn't been officially confirmed.
00:56This year's theme is many voices, one front, addressing trans healthcare rights, black and brown queer visibility, chosen family rights
01:04and preventing hate crime.
01:06The Met Office predicts highs of 27 degrees, with it unlikely to drop below 20 or to rain during the
01:12procession, and like every year, it's completely free.
