00:48Strang, also of Middle Temple, was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in November 2003.
00:55The move comes as government defends the legality of the Preventive Detention Orders PDOs issued against the Hadids under the
01:04Emergency Powers Regulations.
01:06Hadid, his wife Genevieve Hadid, and a relative, Star Sabga, have been accused by the state of being involved in
01:13a conspiracy to assassinate senior members of government.
01:16Genevieve Hadid's detention order specifically alleges that she made statements calling for the death of Prime Minister Kamala Passat-Bissassar.
01:25The Hadids are represented by Senior Counsel Douglas Mendez, Gilbert Peterson, Farah Salrawi, and a team of instructing attorneys.
01:33They are arguing that the initial arrests were unlawful and that the subsequent PDOs were therefore invalid.
