00:00Dan, do you think you could ever see you and your firm going into high schools and talking to the

00:08Because look at some of these nil deals.
00:10Malachi Tony, the kid at the University of Miami, he's got a $2 million nil deal.
00:15When do you start getting into that position where you start seeing agents like waiting for these kids to come
00:22out of high school?
00:24Because, Dan, this is becoming a gigantic business now.
00:27Dan, we're in it.
00:28We have 15-year-olds and 16-year-olds, and that's happening at scale.
00:36And if you're not doing it, you're losing because you're not going to be able to get that 16-year
00:40-old when they are 19 because they've had representation for the past three years.
00:44So you really have to.
00:45These kids now, there's a kid, J.C. on Hulk, Morgan sponsors these youth football teams as well.
00:52We just had some kids join our youth football team.
00:54It has 180,000 followers on Instagram and is, you know, breaking records.
00:59It has brand deals and sponsors, and it's all, you know, in real time happening.
01:03So, you know, it's here.

01:09I got to – you know what?
01:11I think what you do too, Dan, because I know you and your dad and your mom and your firm,
01:16you've got to be looking at the kid's future too when you're doing that.
01:20Setting up how to manage money, how to put them on a plan.
01:24This has got to be something that maybe – you know, when I got a bunch of money, I didn't
01:28know how to handle it, Dan.
01:30And all of a sudden now you're educating these kids earlier, aren't you?
01:34Explaining them the difference between a checking account and a money market account and how they're just losing hundreds of
01:39thousands of dollars compounding.
01:41You know, if they start at age 14, they're going to be set by age 20 instead of getting the
01:46money, buying jet skis, and not having anything to show for it.
01:51So, yeah, there's definitely, you know, some guidance that goes along with it.
01:54And there's a lot of people that don't listen as well.
01:55You kind of have to just wipe your hands, kind of talk them a few times, but they're going to
02:01do what they're going to do as well.
02:02Oh, yeah, but, you know, it's definitely – even looking at contracts, even if they don't sign with us or
02:06go with other people,
02:07just give them the guidance of, you know, words like in perpetuity, you know, to get that out of the
02:12lexicon because it means forever.
02:13You know, so don't sign those deals.
02:15So just educating them on little things like that goes a long, long way.
02:19Dan, do you not agree that being an agent sometimes too, you've got to be a psychologist?
02:24And you've got to be a little bit more patient too because, again, you know the athlete guy is you've
02:30been one yourself.
02:31I mean, right?
02:32I mean, you've got to be more patient with these kids, right?
02:35I mean, you kind of know the mindset.
02:37You kind of have to – you know, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them
02:40drink is like, you know, is the old adage.
02:42You can get them.
02:43You can show them the way.
02:44But at the end of the day, you know, it's 2.30 a.m. and your phone's ringing.
02:47You're like, all right, the decisions were not made that we talked about.
02:51And now it's clean-up mode.
02:52So, yeah, it's definitely an interesting life in Avenue.
02:57But, yeah, it's your psychologist.
02:59You're a lawyer.
03:00You're an advisor.
03:01You know, you're all of the above.
03:04Man, I mean, look, the firm is doing great, obviously.
03:07You guys end up having as many guys as possible, more than anybody, with the NBA draft.
03:15I mean, great things to come for the firm, though.
03:18Yeah, absolutely.
03:19You know, we're growing like crazy.
03:20We're entering new markets.
03:22We're in Chicago.
03:22We're in Texas.
03:23We're in North Carolina now.
03:24You know, we have lawyers in all 50 states, but we're really making efforts in these newer markets.
03:29Official law firm of the Cubs now, you know, in Chicago.
03:33We're the official law firm of the Carolina Panthers in North Carolina.
03:36So, we're going to these markets.
03:38We're invested in the culture.
03:39We're invested in the sports team.
03:40So, we're definitely excited of what's to come for both the firm and for these teams.
