00:00Rumored GTA 6 pre-order prices may not reflect final cost, Leaker says.
00:05As anticipation builds for Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders, a trusted industry Leaker is pushing back against recent rumors
00:12suggesting the game will launch with an unusually high price tag.
00:16Speculation began after French retailer Fnac added five mysterious listings labeled RS1 through RS5, all carrying a November 19 release
00:25date that matches GTA 6's scheduled launch.
00:28Many fans believe the listings represent the different editions of the game, with prices ranging from ÂŁ89.99 to ÂŁ199
00:38.99, leading to concerns that even the standard edition would cost significantly more than most new releases.
00:46However, well-known leaker Bilbicon says these prices should not be taken seriously.
00:51According to the leaker, the product listings appear to be placeholders rather than finalized retail listings.
00:58Bilbicon explained that the EAN codes attached to the products do not match the numbering typically used for Take-Two
01:04interactive releases, indicating they are not official product entries.
01:09Because of that, the listed prices are believed to be randomly assigned values rather than an indication of what consumers
01:15will actually pay.
01:17While Bilbicon noted they do not currently have access to Rockstar's official pricing information, their history of accurately revealing game
01:24prices, special editions, and retailer listings has earned them a strong reputation within the gaming community.
01:30That doesn't completely rule out the possibility that the rumored prices could match the final cost, but if they do,
01:36it would likely be a coincidence rather than evidence that the retailer leaked the real pricing.
01:42Fans won't have to wait much longer for answers, Rockstar Games recently confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders
01:48began what is yesterday from this recording, meaning official pricing should be revealed alongside the opening of pre-orders.
01:56For months, rumors have circulated that GTA 6 could become one of the first major titles to carry a $100
02:02base price.
02:03Whether those concerns prove true or Rockstar Ops for a more traditional price point will soon be revealed.
02:11And I do have a lot to talk about this. I saw side-scrollers cover this. They said that there's
02:22two editions.
02:24They're both going to be digital codes. They're both going to be digital codes, so even if you go out
02:28to the store and buy a box, it's going to be a box consisting of a code instead of a
02:33physical disc.
02:35The physical disc, there is supposed to be like a physical disc version, but I heard that could be as
02:41late as December coming out.
02:48Now, what was announced was that the cheaper version will be $80, $79.99, but that's not going to include
02:59everything.
02:59There's going to be like tattoo shops and barbershops and even some missions that you can't access if you buy
03:06the $80 version.
03:08If you want everything to be able to access everything the game has to offer, and I use that term
03:17everything loosely for reasons I'll explain in a minute,
03:21then you have to pay $100 to buy Grand Theft Auto 6.
03:29And these prices, if that's what they really are, it's highway robbery.
03:37That's the best I can put it.
03:39I mean, they say, you know, well, digital games cut down costs, so you're releasing games digitally, giving the convenience,
03:48because it is convenient,
03:50but you're still raising the price of those digital games when you're cutting down costs.
03:59Okay, and there's plenty more reasons why you might want to rethink pre-ordering Grand Theft Auto 6 or even
04:07getting Grand Theft Auto 6 other than just the price.
04:11First, $100, or you'll be like locked out of customization shops like the barbershop and the tattoo shop.
04:19Completely unacceptable.
04:23You know, you're charging more for this game, and you're taking away as well.
04:32You either do one or the other, but there's absolutely no way Rockstar or Take-Two should be allowed to
04:39do both.
04:44Secondly, with the, oh, and I did say everything when I was being facetious.
04:53Yeah, the GTA 6 online mode, not going to be ready at launch.
04:59So let me get this straight.
05:01They're charging $80 for the cheap edition, $100 for the full edition, and they still can't get the online mode
05:07ready to go on day one?
05:16If Take-Two is 2K, if they're the same companies, which I think they are.
05:25I'm sorry, this just has vibes of the WWE, of WWE 2K26 written all over it.
05:31I think, so I think they are the same company.
05:34I'm going to make sure, I'm.
05:37So, is 2K, um, as Take-Two Interactive?
05:47Yes, they, 2K is a division of Take-Two Interactive.
05:50Okay.
05:51The, um, Take-Two Interactive is the parent company that owns multiple major publishing labels, most noticeably 2K,
05:59which handles NBA 2K and Civilization, and obviously the WWE 2K games,
06:05and Rockstar games, which handles Grand Theft Auto.
06:08Okay, so that, that's why, uh, that's why, uh, this sounded like highway robbery.
06:13Um, mystery solved.
06:17Um, so, yeah, so, they're not gonna, so, the online mode will be ready who knows when, to be honest.
06:28Um, and then there was something that was brought up that I didn't even know about, because I don't, uh,
06:34because I never went back to Grand Theft Auto 5 online, I never went back to Grand Theft Auto 5
06:39after finishing the single-player story.
06:41So, I never tried out GTA 5 online, because I also bought the game in October, and back then, in
06:482013,
06:49the GTA 5 online wasn't gonna be ready till November 1st.
06:55Um, they also said that, um, the people who worked, who made the characters that we love,
07:03whether it's CJ from San Andreas, whether it's Diaz from Vice City, or Tommy Vissetti,
07:09or that made Michael Franklin and Lamar, the people, uh, Michael Franklin and Trevor, and Lamar,
07:15throw them in there too.
07:17Uh, those people that designed those characters, and came up with those characters' personalities,
07:22they're not there anymore.
07:25Now you got the, rock, this is the rock star that wants to sanitize, and, and, uh, put bullshit in
07:33games,
07:34uh, that no one wants.
07:36And you can, and if you don't believe me, look, uh, go to the, play the GTA online,
07:42and play, and interact with the characters that, uh, of G, of the online modes that, uh, packed,
07:50that were released, like, in 2020 and 2021.
07:53And compare that to Michael Franklin and Trevor.
07:55Compare that to Diaz.
07:57Compare that to CJ, or anyone else you want from the older Grand Theft Auto games.
08:01You'll, it'll, it's like night and day, seeing the difference between these characters.
08:08So, yeah, I mean, and, and what's even more, uh, what's even more, um, concerning is that
08:17with, you know, pre-orders going live, and we still haven't seen a gameplay trailer.
08:22Not one gameplay trailer's been released.
08:26Are you, are they just hoping that everyone's gonna buy it, and that no one, um, is gonna say,
08:32huh, shouldn't there have been a gameplay trailer by now?
08:37Uh, so, yeah, um, if, unless, take, unless, uh, 2K is changing course, which, honestly,
08:48I don't think a natural disaster could make them change courses, uh, I don't really have
08:55high hopes for Grand Theft Auto 6.
08:57I think Grand Theft Auto 5 is gonna be the last good one that was made.
09:02Because people don't like the inclusion, uh, of characters in GTA 5 online.
09:12And, that's what we're paying, and that's what people are gonna have to pay $100 for if
09:17they don't want to get locked out of customization shops.
09:20Half the fun of Grand Theft Auto was customizing your character.
09:25I mean, there was, uh, one time, me and Dr. Games 101 were playing, uh, Grand Theft Auto
09:30San Andreas.
09:30He was over my house when we both lived in New York.
09:35And, uh, one time, we, uh, he had CJ, for whatever reason, Dr. Games 101 had CJ strip
09:43down to his boxes, go to the local pizza place, and start eating large pizzas until CJ threw
09:49up in the pizzeria.
09:50And then the pizzeria refused to serve him.
09:53And Dr. Games 101 goes, that's not fair, they shouldn't have the right to serve me.
09:58Um, you know, that, and it was just funny to do things like that.
10:03And, of course, the one thing people loved about San Andreas was you could really take
10:09CJ and make him how you wanted.
10:11You could make his hair the way you wanted it.
10:13You could mix and match outfits the way you wanted.
10:16So, like, if you wanted CJ to wear, say, like, a long-sleeved shirt, but, like, shorts,
10:20you could do that.
10:21You know, it didn't have to be a preset outfit, like Vice City.
10:26And then, um, and you could also make CJ as fat or as buff as you wanted to make him.
10:36And, definitely, you won't get these options in GTA 6 if you get the cheap game.
10:41And $100 for this, you can't even release a gameplay trailer and you're expecting people
10:47to issue $100 over when there was really no reason to be confident about what this game
10:53is going to have?
10:56Wow.
10:57Like I said, it's highway robbery at this point.
11:01You know, WW2K was just the beginning.
11:04I think the trend is going to continue with Grand Theft Auto 6 and who knows whatever they
11:10make next.
11:11Heck, it's probably been in NBA 2K all this time and we just didn't know it because people
11:17that I hear from don't really try out NBA 2K every year.
11:25But I know the city in 2K, the island in WW2K was just, was taken as, from the city in
11:35NBA
11:352K, 2K.
11:38Um, so, yeah, uh, I'm not, I have absolutely zero interest in Grand Theft Auto 6.
11:47There's really nothing to get, um, excited about.
11:50Like I said, the trailer told me nothing.
11:54Okay, it's going to be Bonnie and Clyde, great, we got that as CJ and Catalina in Grand Theft
11:58Auto San Andreas when they hit those four missions.
12:02What, what else can you tell me?
12:04What, this game is, is going to be, is in Vice City?
12:09Okay, so we're going to Vice City back after 30 years.
12:13I mean, I'm assuming we went back to, uh, Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto 5.
12:19If, okay, I mean, you, there's really nothing you can even say about this game.
12:26And if the game is just a few months away, if it's, if pre-orders are already up, that's
12:31not a good sign that this is what, that this is as little as we know about the game.
12:36Um, and I bet you that if they're writing characters, it's going to be all about the, um, all, they're,
12:48they're going to be just as, um, cringeworthy as they were in the Grand Theft Auto 5 online
12:53packs that got released, like in 2020, 2021.
12:58Because even new, even the returning characters that, uh, suffered from this writing, they were
13:05night and day difference from what they used to be.
13:08When, uh, the old people, when the people that used to work on games like Grand Theft Auto
13:135 wrote for them.
13:14So it's not even like the new, it's not even like the old characters are safe.
13:19Um, so, yeah, uh, Grand Theft Auto 6, um, again, the, uh, and I hope, uh, I hope, I hope
13:29people speak with their wallets on this one.
13:31Um, I hope that people are, you know, if you haven't pre-ordered it yet, maybe you take,
13:41maybe you take a sec to go, wait, there should have been at least a gameplay trailer by now.
13:47What are they hiding?
13:49But right now, I think Grand Theft Auto 6 is going to fail.
13:53And my, and what I worry is that Grand Theft Auto 6 is not just going to fail in terms
14:00of
14:00content, it's going to still make enough where they're going to do this with Grand Theft
14:05Auto 7 five years down the road.
14:09Honestly, I don't want to see another Grand Theft Auto game ever if it's going to go the
14:14way I think it's going to go.
14:16What do you think?
14:17Let me.
