00:00Two-guy, black man, one for two-guy, you know you have to like this, when you see the black
00:05man, one for two-guy.
00:09Take me out for some hot dogs.
00:14Alright, this is a special revisit because we're rebranding, you know, we've got this battle going on in Clifton.
00:21I mean, this is the original Jumbos. This is the real Jumbos.
00:25There's a battle going on in Clifton.
00:29Between the original Jumbos and Jumbos.
00:33The other Jumbo goes into Ty and Ice Place.
00:36They now serve hot dogs, kind of a tit for tat.
00:40And they serve Jumbos on Ty and Ice too.
00:43But they've rebranded themselves as Jersey Jacks.
00:47I mean, and they've added Clifton.
00:52They even have a wacky inflatable hot dog guy.
00:55Waving people on.
00:59And well, this was the real place before.
01:05We're here to revisit them as they've been rebranded Jersey Jacks.
01:09Let's see if they still have the big bite that will impress me.
01:26I'll get one plain and one chili and cheese.
01:43All right, you know, this is a more intense battle than anything that's going on in the World Cup, it
01:47seems.
01:48I mean, I mean, once again, we got the hot dogs.
01:55Proper looking hot dogs.
01:56The Spratt hot dogs.
01:58Spratt skinless hot dogs.
01:59Well, let's see how this actually tastes.
02:03Good bun to dog ratio.
02:06Excellent snap.
02:10It's a triple.
02:11It's a beautiful, nice triple hot dog.
02:13And they've been around for years.
02:18I mean, I'm running into people here that's been going here since they were 10 years old.
02:24It's amazing.
02:25They use that beautiful cheese sauce.
02:28And I like this.
02:30It's a smooth looking chili.
02:33Now let's see how this actually tastes.
02:46That's a, that's pretty much a perfect chili dog.
02:54It's smooth and very good.
02:58I will give the chili dog a triple.
03:02Let me tell you this Italian ice here, when I took over this place, I found it to be so
03:09amazing.
03:09But I always knew it was amazing because I've been coming here myself since I was a little boy.
03:14This iconic corner is special to me.
03:16And I didn't want to lose this corner to like some other type of business, whatever it would have been.
03:22Check cashing or, or gold selling or whatever it was.
03:28I wanted to keep it this because everyone loves it.
03:30I had one day, four generation family, the great great grandfather, the grandfather, the father and the children.
03:39How unique is that to say in Clifton, New Jersey to come here.
03:43They will come here for the Italian ice that they always love.
03:46You know, a nice summer treat to me is lemon ice.
03:52And you know, the guy that runs this place, Jack, Jersey Jack, he's been a paramedic for 40 years.
03:57And what, and what they're mainly known for besides the hot dogs is their lemon ice.
04:04And to me, I'm, I've always liked lemon ice more than I liked, uh, um, iced tea, also called Italian
04:12ice.
04:13You might call it a water ice down in Philly, but I've always liked this even more than ice cream.
04:18And this is the traditional lemon flavor.
04:24Ooh.
04:27You know, I used to know a place named Jackie's in, uh, Belleville.
04:31They closed maybe 25 years ago.
04:36And I haven't had lemon ice that good since Jackie's.
04:42This is lemon ice.
04:50Is an eight point nine.
04:54And they also, I'm also going to try the mango flavor.
05:02You can actually taste the fresh fruit.
05:04They make their own lemon ice.
05:06I'm going to give the mango an eight point four.
05:15You know, this place has some history too.
05:17At this spot, George Washington, one state.
05:21And it's got connections to 1761.
05:25And it's been around forever.
05:27And they're timeless, you know, what a place.
05:32I mean, Jersey Jack, you know, that name sounds like a hot dog place too.
05:37So the rebranding, they've actually seemed to get better than they were last year.
05:42So if you know any place I should go, let me know.
05:46Because I'm going to be going here, there, and everywhere.
05:49See you down the road and keep raw dogging.
05:53Take me out for some hot dogs.
05:57Get me one that's only plain.
06:01No mustard or ketchup.
06:04I'll know what the dog is really about.
06:07And it's hope that this is a good one.
06:11Maybe a home run or a double.
06:14But if it sucks, it will be a strikeout and not worthy of my taste buds.
06:20Hehehehe.
06:37You
