03:54Do you feel better?
03:57Oh!
03:59Did you hear that?
04:00That doesn't sound right.
04:02I'd better go and see what's happened.
04:04I can see
04:06Spencer!
04:07Are you okay?
04:08Yes, Miss Hooli
04:09I'm fine
04:10What happened?
04:12Oh, my bike skidded on the ice
04:13And I broke my horn
04:15Oh, are you sure you're okay?
04:17Yeah
04:18Luckily, I had a soft landing in the snow
04:20I think you'd better come in for a cup of tea
04:22Okay
04:23Ooh
04:28It's okay, everyone
04:29I'm fine
04:30Hello!
04:31Spencer!
04:33I'm just going to take Spencer through for a quick cup of tea
04:35Why don't you go on with some drawing until we get back?
04:38Come on through
04:41Now, before I pour your tea
04:42I'm going to give you a quick wiggle test to check everything is in working order
04:46Ready?
04:46Yes
04:47Now, can you wiggle your fingers?
04:51Alright
04:52Your arms
04:54Your legs
04:56Okay, now everything together
05:01See, I told you
05:03There's nothing wrong with me
05:04I'm as good as new
05:06Ow!
05:07Ooh!
05:08Oh!
05:10It's just my horn that's broken
05:13It's a good job there's nothing wrong with you
05:15The children are really looking forward to the concert this afternoon
05:18Oh, so am I
05:19I've written a special wintry song
05:22It's full of crunches and swishes and wintry noises for the children to make
05:26I'm playing the drums
05:28Oh, I can't wait to get my drum kit back
05:31It's been at the McCloud's farm for the last few days
05:33What's it doing out there?
05:34Well, I've been giving Christopher drumming lessons and I lent it to him to practice
05:38He promised to bring him back this morning for the concert
05:40Oh, I'm sorry Spencer, but Christopher isn't at the nursery today
05:43Katie phones say they've been snowed in at the farm
05:46But the drums are the main instrument
05:48No drum kit, no concert
05:51Well, I'm just going to have to go and get them myself
05:53Well, be careful, it's awfully wintry out there and you've already been on your backside ones today
05:57I'll be fine, Miss Hooley
05:59See you later
06:00Oh, you forgot something Spencer
06:04I think you better go to the shop and buy a new one before you go out on the road
06:08Good idea, see you later
06:09Bye
06:10Bye
06:11So, which coloured house do you think Spencer will visit first today?
06:20Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
06:25Well, there's part of the story in Ballymore
06:29He asks which is the house for me
06:32Is it green?
06:34Is it red?
06:35Or should I go to the white house instead?
06:38Yellow, pink, orange or blue
06:40Which coloured house am I going to?
06:44Green house
06:45Red house
06:47Orange or pink
06:49Yellow house
06:50Blue or white
06:52Tell me what do you think?
06:54Blue or white
07:00Green house
07:01Which coloured house are we going to?
07:03Tell me what you think?
07:06Blue or white
07:07Which coloured house are we going to?
07:09Tell me what do you think?
07:11It's the red house
07:13Yes, it's the red house, because that's where Patty and Suzy live
07:21Hi Suzy
07:22Oh, hi Sven
07:24and so we're awful busy today.
07:26Everybody's in for tea and Balamori buns.
07:28Would you like some?
07:29No, thanks.
07:30Right, well, you'll have to excuse me.
07:32I have no time to stand and chat.
07:34Oh, but...
07:34Oh, would you like something?
07:36Yes, please, Susie.
07:37I'd like to buy a horn.
07:39I've got the very thing.
07:42Here you are.
07:44We've had it in stock for a long time,
07:45so you can have it half price.
07:47It's no good, Susie.
07:48It's too big.
07:49I need it to fit on the handlebars of my bike.
07:51Table three, would you like another round of buns, please?
07:54Oh, right, you'll have to excuse me.
07:57I've got buns to bake.
07:59Can I help you?
08:00Oh, yes, please, Penny.
08:01I'd like to buy...
08:01How many do they want?
08:02Four, please, Susie.
08:04Sorry, Spencer, what was that?
08:06Butter or jam?
08:08Both, please, Susie.
08:09Sorry, Spencer, didn't quite catch that.
08:12I'd like to buy a new horn for my bike.
08:14My old one's broken.
08:18Oh, you're lucky we've one left here in the window.
08:21This is a cool day to be out on your bike.
08:23Yes, but when you start pedaling fast, you soon warm up.
08:27That would be five pounds exactly.
08:29Okay.
08:31Let me give you five.
08:34Thanks.
09:00I was right about the pedaling warming me up.
09:03But I didn't realize it'd be such hard work.
09:11It's funny.
09:12No matter how fast I pedal, I don't seem to be getting any closer to the farm.
09:20Oh, I better give up.
09:21I don't want to fall on my backside again.
09:24It's just no good.
09:25I'm never going to get there.
09:27My tires have no grip.
09:32I need to find a way to keep them from slipping on the ice.
09:35But I don't know how.
09:38I wonder who'd be clever enough to help me.
09:42Hey.
09:43Hey.
09:44I know.
09:45Archie.
09:45Did I hear you say that you've got a confusion?
09:50Great inventions, groovy solutions.
09:54Super Archie's surfing through the solution.
09:57Great inventions, groovy solutions.
10:01Archie can make most anything.
10:04I can solve your problem, so give me a ring now.
10:08Archie's inventions can help the nation.
10:11Great inventions, groovy solutions.
10:15Yeah, I've got a thing called imagination.
10:19Great inventions, groovy solutions.
10:23From crazy hats that help us sing.
10:26To pigs that fly with yogurt pot wings, yeah.
10:30Great inventions, groovy solutions.
10:34Great inventions, groovy solutions.
10:37Do your cogs need to plug in?
10:45Has your sprocket sprung its screw?
10:52Do your wedges keep me plucking?
10:56Oh, what did it, oh, what did it, oh, what did it?
10:59Well, when my inventions will sort it out for you, I know what to do.
11:07Archie's such a clever champ.
11:08He knows a lot now.
11:10Great inventions, groovy solutions.
11:13I'm a scientific wonder with a yogurt pot now.
11:17Great inventions, groovy solutions.
11:21Archie, yeah.
11:29Hey, Archie.
11:30Oh, hello, Spencer.
11:32Oh, man, it's very hot in here.
11:34Yes, I've been tinkering with the central heating.
11:37Nothing I like more on a cold winter's day than to recline in my deck chair reading a good book.
11:42Why don't you join me?
11:43Oh, I've just made a pot of iced tea.
11:47So, what's the story in Bannamore?
11:50Well, the day got off to a bad start when my bike skidded on the ice outside the nursery.
12:00Luckily, the only thing damaged was my horn.
12:03Miss Hooli took me inside to check that I was feeling okay.
12:06I felt fine until I discovered that Christopher McLeod had been snowed in at the farm.
12:11This upset me because Christopher had borrowed my drum kit, and it meant that he wouldn't
12:16be able to bring it in time for the wintry concert I'm holding at the nursery this afternoon.
12:21So, after buying a new horn from the shop, I set off for the farm on my bicycle to collect
12:26the drum kit myself.
12:27But I only made it as far as the first hill before my bike started to slip and slide on
12:32the snow and ice.
12:33The tires just couldn't get any grip.
12:39So, I came to see you to see if you can invent something to stop me from slipping and sliding.
12:44Salt?
12:45What?
12:46You can use a mixture of salt and sand to melt the snow away, and that way you don't
12:51have to worry about your tires slipping.
12:52Really?
12:53Oh, yes.
12:54That's what I use to clear the path to the castle door.
12:57I pour a mixture of salt and sand into this yogurt pot sprinkler, and then I use it to melt
13:02the ice and snow away.
13:03Oh, that's a clever idea, Archie, but I'd need an awful lot of salt and sand to get
13:08all the way to the farm.
13:09Eh, true.
13:11Why don't you leave your bike behind and then just walk to the farm?
13:14That way, when you see a slippy bit coming up, you can melt it with a sprinkler and then
13:18walk right over it.
13:19Well, that's fine for getting there, but I need to bring my drum kit back.
13:23Hmm, right.
13:25So, how can I move my drums in the snow?
13:27Oh, why don't you use a sledge to pull the drum kit across the snow behind you?
13:35Of course.
13:37I can't claim to have invented it myself, but I have made a little archification.
13:41I added this yogurt pot belt.
13:43That way you can warn people you're coming when you're sledging downhill.
13:46Ha-ha.
13:49Oh, what fun.
13:50Almost wish I was coming myself.
13:52Thanks for the help, Archie.
13:53Have fun.
13:54See you later.
13:59Woo-hoo-hoo!
14:04McCloud Farm, here I come!
14:13Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
14:36What's that noise?
14:38It's drumming.
14:39It must be Christopher.
14:41I'm pleased to hear that he's practicing,
14:43but I don't think Katie's going to like it too much
14:45because it's very loud.
14:47Hello, Spencer.
14:49Hi, Katie.
14:50Thank goodness you're here.
14:51Christopher's been making a terrible rocket.
14:53What?
14:54I said Christopher's been making a terrible rocket.
14:57Hey, Christopher!
15:00Hey, want to help me load your drums onto my sledge?
15:02Yeah!
15:03Yeah!
15:19Bye, guys.
15:20Bye!
15:21Bye, Spencer.
15:22Bye.
15:23Bye.
15:23Bye.
15:30Spencer, you made it.
15:32Now, Spencer is going to perform his special wintry song.
15:36What's it called, Spencer?
15:38Well, it's called the Slippy Slidey Song,
15:40but I can't sing it on my own.
15:42I'm going to need your help to help me make wintry sounds.
15:46Now, there's some great noises we can make.
15:48If I take my brushes and I put them over my drums,
15:55it sounds like someone whooshing down a hill on skis.
15:58But my favourite sound is the sound of a wellington boot as it crunches in the snow.
16:09Cool, huh?
16:10Cool, huh?
16:10It's for you.
16:11It's for you, Kate.
16:12You can do the welly boot.
16:13Put your hand on this bit here.
16:14Okay, guys, are you ready?
16:18Slip, slip, slip, slip and slide on a winter's day.
16:21When the snow is on the ground, we come out to play.
16:29Crunch, crunch, through the snow goes the welly boot.
16:33You'll have to pull really hard to get it off your boot.
16:41Push, push, push, we glide, whizzing down the slope.
16:45Skiing is so much fun.
16:47It's Slippy just like soap.
16:52Slip, slip, slip and slide in the freezing snow.
16:56When we go back indoors, our faces all will glow.
17:00Yay!
17:06So, what was the story in Balamori?
17:10Well,
17:15Spencer skidded on the ice outside the nursery and fell off his bike.
17:19Luckily, he wasn't hurt and he easily passed my wiggle test.
17:23He was excited about getting his drums back for his special wintry concert.
17:28But when he discovered Christopher hadn't made it in from the farm with his drum kit,
17:32he decided to go and collect the drum kit on his bike.
17:35But he only got as far as the first hill before his bike started slipping and sliding in the snow
17:41and ice.
17:42So, he went to see Archie, who lent him his sledge to slide the drums back.
17:47Spencer had great fun on the sledge and managed to get the drums back to the nursery in time for
17:52the concert.
17:54His song was brilliant and we all had a great time making wintry sounds with his instruments.
18:01I'll just pop this snow globe back into the cupboard.
18:07And I'll see you very soon.
18:11Bye.
