03:38Yeah
03:38Or what about in the barn?
03:40Yeah
03:41And does anyone know what sound a horse makes?
03:44Eh!

04:04Hello Archie!
04:04Hello Archie!
04:07Hello!
04:08Hi Anne!
04:10Morning Archie!
04:11So, what brings you to the nursery?
04:13I've got a present for you
04:15Ooh!
04:17It's my latest invention
04:22Wow!
04:24Oh, thank you Archie!
04:25It's amazing!
04:27Er...
04:28What is it?
04:29It's a pen tree
04:30Oh!
04:36I see!
04:37Now you need never look for a pen again
04:40I'll always have a pen handy now
04:42Thank you Archie
04:43Oh, my pleasure
04:44Oh, there's one other thing
04:47I made it using all those hooks from coat hangers
04:50So, now I've got lots of coat hangers without hooks
04:53What do you think I could do with them?
04:55Oh!
04:56It's a funny shape
04:59Hmm...
05:00Triangular
05:02Hmm...
05:02It could be a triangle
05:06Hmm...
05:07Not much of a ring to it
05:09This round bit could be a nose
05:11Oh yes
05:12It looks a bit like an animal head
05:15An animal head?
05:16What sort of animal head?
05:19Oh, I don't know
05:20I know
05:21Why don't you go to see Edie?
05:23She's seen all sorts of animals in her travels
05:25That's a great idea
05:27I'll go and see Edie
05:28Thanks Miss Julie
05:30Bye bye
05:31Bye Archie
05:34So, I wonder which coloured house Archie will visit first today
05:43Can you see all the different coloured houses?
05:46The houses sitting by the sea?
05:49Well, there's part of the story in Palomarius
05:52Which is the house for me?
05:55Is it yellow?
05:56Is it pink?
05:58Is it orange?
05:59What do you think?
06:00Is it red, green, blue or white?
06:03Which coloured house do you think is right?
06:06Yellow house?
06:08Orange house?
06:09Blue, pink or white?
06:12Green house?
06:13Red house?
06:14Which do you think is right?
06:23Which coloured house are we going to?
06:26Tell me what do you think?
06:29Which coloured house are we going to?
06:31Tell me what do you think?
06:35It's the blue house
06:36It's the blue house
06:37Yes, it's the blue house
06:38Because that's where Edie McCready lives
06:44Good morning Edie
06:45Oh, hello there Archie
06:47Oh, I'm just trying to clean up this bit of engine
06:49Oh, my bus has had a rattle coming from it all week
06:52And it's been driving me mad
06:54But we'll soon have it fixed
06:57I'm sure you will
07:00Oh, that's quite a rattle you've got in there
07:03Oh, yes
07:05It's all these old coat hangers
07:07I used the hooks to invent something for Miss Hooley
07:10But now I'm left with these coat hangers without hooks
07:12I don't know what to do with them
07:13Miss Hooley said she thought they looked like some sort of animal
07:17Oh, well, yes
07:18I think she's got a point there
07:21What sort of animal do you think it looks like?
07:23Well, do you know, it could look like a giraffe
07:27Just loping across the African savannah
07:31Looking for some tasty leaves in the treetops
07:37Or maybe a zebra under the hot Kenyan sun
07:42Looking for some water to drink
07:46Very good, Edie
07:47But I've never seen a giraffe for a zebra
07:50Not in Balamore
07:51Well, no, quite right
07:53But, you know, the zebra is closely related to the horse
07:57And, you know, this could look just like a horse
08:00If I've got an idea, look
08:04If I put this on here
08:08That's it
08:08Put it over there like that
08:10And, er, I just need to get maybe
08:13Hold on
08:13Um, oh, a button
08:15Or
08:16Oh, look, there's a badge
08:17That could do
08:18For an eye
08:22Oh, there
08:23Now, look
08:24See
08:25All you need to do is put two ears
08:28And a flowing mane
08:30That's a great idea, Edie
08:32That's a great idea, Edie
08:32I'm going straight home to finish this horse's head
08:35Oh
08:35Thanks a lot, Edie
08:37See you later
08:37Bye
08:38Glad to be of help
08:46Oh
08:47Oh
08:47Horses have
08:48Two eyes
08:49So, er
08:51Oh
08:51Ah
08:53Buttons would be good for the eyes
08:55Oh
08:56What else?
08:58Two ears
08:59Hmm, some felt would be good for that
09:02Ah
09:02Ah
09:04Ah
09:04Here we are
09:07It has a long, flowing mane
09:10Ah
09:11Hmm
09:13Ah
09:14This should do the trick
09:15Right
09:21Now
09:22Take these on like this
09:24There
09:25Ah
09:26Okay
09:26Now
09:27Let me see
09:31Take it on like that
09:34Hmm
09:34Oh
09:35Very good
09:36Great
09:39Now
09:39Ah
09:40Yes, the mane
09:41Okay
09:44That should do the trick
09:45Great
09:50Marvelous
09:51One horse's head
09:54I've got lots more coat hangers
09:55So I can make loads more of these
09:58Where can I go to get the rest of the bits and bobs

11:38Hey
11:40Hey
11:47Hello Penny
11:48Hello Susie
11:49Hi Archie
11:50Hello Archie
11:51What's the story in Ballamory
11:54Well it all started this morning when I went to the nursery
12:01I gave Miss Hooley my latest invention, a pen tree to keep all her pens together.
12:06The problem was, I had a lot of old coat hangers without hooks, and I didn't know what to do
12:11with them.
12:12Miss Hooley thought that they looked like some sort of animal head.
12:17So I went to see Edie to see if she had any ideas.
12:21Edie thought the coat hangers would make splendid horses' heads.
12:25Back home, I made one of the coat hangers into a horse's head.
12:28But then I thought, what about the rest of the horse?
12:32Who would have a lot of bits and bobs to help me make a horse's body?
12:36And that's when I thought of you two.
12:39Can you think of anything I could use to make the horse's body?
12:41A horse's body?
12:43Why don't you use your horse's head to make a hobby horse?
12:47Of course!
12:48A hobby horse?
12:49What's a hobby horse?
12:50It's a kind of play horse, Susie.
12:53Um, could you pass me one of those broom handles, please?
12:56Yes.
12:59There you are.
13:02OK, Archie.
13:03Now, if you fix your horse's head to this broom handle, then you can pretend it's a real horse.
13:09Right.
13:11Then I can ride it around like this.
13:14Exactly!
13:16Do you know who else would like playing with a hobby horse?
13:19Er, PC Plum?
13:21No, the children at the nursery.
13:23Of course!
13:25Right.
13:25I'll have 12 broom handles, please.
13:28Right.
13:28Coming right up.
13:30I'm going to make a hobby horse for every child at the nursery today.
13:42All right, everyone, we've got a really special treat for you today.
13:47This is Martin, and he came along today to play his drum for you.
13:51All right?
13:52So, over to Martin.
14:29Well done, Martin.
14:30Thank you very much.
14:31That was fantastic, wasn't it?
14:33Yeah.
14:35Hello, Miss Hoodie.
14:36Oh, hi there, Archie.
14:37I've got some great news.
14:39I've found something to do with all those old coat hangers.
14:41Really?
14:42I've made them into hobby horses for the children.
14:45Oh, that's brilliant.
14:48Do you know what?
14:49I've got an idea.
14:52Maybe Martin could play the drum and make a galloping noise,
14:55and we could all play hobby horses.
14:57Do you have some more?
14:58Oh, yes.
14:58I've got one each for all of the children.
15:00Come on, everyone.
15:01We'll go and get the hobby horses with Archie.
15:04Wow, Archie, they're brilliant.
15:07Won't you get your hobby horses?
15:08Come and stay on home.
15:09Come and stay on home.
15:13Oh, yeah.
15:25Let's play those brakes, Schiff.
15:29Hey, I've got one play.
15:29Oh, yeah.
15:32Come and stay on home.
15:54Look at your horses back.
15:58Oh, well done.
16:01Thank you, Martin and Archie, for making these fantastic hobby horses.
16:06It was my pleasure, Miss Hilliard.
16:14Whoo! Steady, boy.
16:20So, what was the story in Bala Mori today?
16:24Well, it all started when Archie called into the nursery this morning.
16:31Archie showed me his latest invention.
16:33It was a pen tree.
16:36The problem was, Archie had lots of old coat hangers left over.
16:41Coat hangers without hooks.
16:45He didn't know what to make with the coat hangers.
16:49So, he went to ask Edie for ideas.
16:53Edie thought the coat hangers would make a great horse's head.
16:58Back at his house, Archie finished off the horse's head with two eyes, two ears and a mane.
17:06But he wanted to make the rest of the horse.
17:10So, he went to ask Penny and Susie for help.
17:13Penny suggested making a hobby horse.
17:17So, Archie made lots of hobby horses and brought them to the nursery.
17:22Martin played his drum and we all had fun playing with the hobby horses.
17:26It was great.
17:32So, that was the story in Bala Mori today.
17:36I'd better pop this back into the cupboard and save it for another day.
17:47And I'll see you next time. Bye!
17:56Bye!
