00:50So let's hear from the author himself, Ben Solak, joining us now. Ben, let's start with Soresby as a prospect.
00:55Why will teams be interested in using a supplemental draft pick on him?
01:01It's interesting because when you think about how high a team might choose to use a pick on him, I
01:06think that's a question a lot of us have.
01:08And when you look across the league, what team should be interested?
01:11And then to my question about how high he would be drafted in the supplemental draft, how high a pick
01:17should they use?
01:19So Soresby will not be contending for a QB1 job.

01:28Lewis, how aggressive do you believe teams should be in their pursuit of Soresby?
01:37Look, NFL locker rooms are very tolerant of all kinds of players who come from all kinds of different backgrounds,
01:42who've committed all kinds of different transgressions.
01:44We know that over time.
01:46But the one thing that players count on is the fact that their teammates are playing the game tried and
01:51true, and they're not trying to play with some other agenda in mind other than just to win.
01:56And if you are questioning your quarterback and whether or not he is playing the game to win it, fair
02:02and square on the football field, and he's compromising the integrity of the game, I'm telling you what, I'm not
02:08going to speak for Berger, but I'll tell you this.
02:10That's the last thing that you would want associated with you as a teammate.
02:14That's the last thing that you want.
02:15And see, those are the kind of things that teams are going to have to get their arms around.
02:20Well, not only the teammates, Lou, but everybody in the organization has to come to grips and know that this
02:26is the guy that touches the football every single play.
02:28And you can't have any doubts that you're...
02:31One thing that the shield does not tolerate, because why?
02:35Because Roger Goodell and these owners are about making money, and they cannot have beyond a shadow of a doubt
02:41anybody thinking that the NFL is rigged, that the games are thrown.
02:44So, even though the talent or the prospect may be really good, I don't know if NFL teams are going
02:51to line up to bring this young man in with the addiction.
02:55The addiction, okay, go deal with that.
02:58Playing football is not a right.
02:59It's a privilege.
03:01And I'm really curious to see how many teams are willing to give him the privilege, with the background he
03:08has, to play in the National Football League.
03:10That's going to be, to Louis' point, this is so complex.
03:14And I can't wait to see it play out.
03:16Yeah, there's a no-tolerance policy right in the NFL.
03:19I mean, the same to be said for college football.
03:22They're not going to tolerate anything like this.
03:24Now, I will say, he's said he's done the work.
03:27I hear what you're both saying.
03:28But it's something that I would imagine they would have to insulate him with a lot of help to make
03:32sure that it continues to be that way.
03:34And I also agree, there's going to be some owners.
03:36There's going to be some people high up in some of these organizations that say,
03:39we're just not interested at all because of the off-the-field situation.
03:42Let's turn it a little more to the skill set, which is why I think immediately people were like,
03:47yeah, which team's going to go ahead and pick this guy?
03:50Lou, which teams do you think are most intrigued by the possibility of adding Sorsby?
03:54I liked Ben's points about the Packers.
03:56Are there other teams that stick out to you?
04:00Yeah, of course there are.
04:02Because, look, I think the fact that a franchise quarterback, is he someone you can trust?
04:06That's what it comes down to.
04:08Simple as that.
04:11And if you really want to put it in terms where people can understand, watch this, Lou.
04:16He's a better prospect today than Josh Allen was at Wyoming.
04:21He's better.
04:21Now, we know what Josh Allen developed into once he got in the National Football League.
04:26But currently, Sorsby is a better prospect.
04:29He's more accurate.
04:30He's 6'3", 235, almost just as big.
04:33He can run.
04:34He's a better prospect today.
04:36And that's the reason why I think there are going to be a lot of fourth-round picks put in
04:40on it.
04:40I'm curious to see, does somebody put a day-two pick, Lou, in for Brandon Sorsby?
04:45It's going to be a lot of fours.
04:47Does anybody go to night two and put a three in?
04:49Yeah, and remember, so July 10th is going to be the pro day, the individual pro day that he's going
04:54to hold in Dallas at a high school there.
04:56A lot of teams, though, already did the work on him because they thought he was going to enter the
05:01draft.
05:01And then he ends up deciding he wasn't.
05:02Now, of course, he's back in the mix.
05:04But a lot of teams are already familiar with his skill set.
05:07And I bet they'll show up to that pro day as well.
05:09But they're familiar with what he brings to the table.

05:14He referenced 2019 LSU.

05:22Yesterday you're telling us about some team parties and gatherings that all these guys are doing.
05:26But what have you seen that would allude to the urgency that Joe's talking about?
05:33Yeah, Laura, a little more serious demeanor today compared to yesterday to be contenders yet again.
05:38It feels that way.
05:39I mean, I know we're only in minicamp here, but I'm getting real excited about the Bengals.

05:55Lewis, what are your expectations for Knicks and the Broncos this season?
06:02Well, I think this offense is going to take a step forward because of the couple he's at in his
06:08development.
06:09Exactly.
06:10And you love to see it.
06:11And I think you're going to see that manifest itself on the football field with this team becoming even more
06:16explosive offensively.
06:19And so a couple things about the offense.
06:21Number one, Davis Webb, you have a third-year quarterback.
06:23Hey, take the training wheels off.
06:25Take them off.
06:25Like, at some point, you've got to let him go out there.
06:28Similar to what they're doing in Kansas City, Eric Biennium, even though Andy Reid's called place forever,
06:34I need a fresh set of eyes on Eric Biennium to come back in here because we need to freshen
06:38this thing up.
06:39Yeah, emphasis on the run game, too.
06:41One thing that's interesting as well, the Broncos' design run rate has dropped each season under Sean Payton, 24th last
06:47year.
06:48You wonder if that'll change a little bit with Davis Webb coming in, maybe a little bit more where you
06:52see Bo Nix,
06:53especially if he's healthy, that athleticism coming into play.
