00:00President of the secondary schools of football league, Mariri Gonzalez, looking back at the last edition of the competition, noted
00:06there were areas that they can improve on.
00:09Looking back at the 2025 season is one that we can put on a curve and a momentum where there
00:21is always room for improvement.
00:24But let us not look at the glass half empty.
00:30Sometimes when we look at it in that way, we think about the negativity, on the negative aspects of life.
00:37The respective winners were given their awards by Minister of Education Michael Dowlatt from the respective zones.
00:43It featured awards for the Form 1 players all the way up to the Under-20 division.
00:49Then there were awards for the Championship division.
00:52Some of the winners were Chaguanas South, Five Rivers Secondary, St. Joseph's Convent Port of Spain, Pleasantville Secondary and Signal
01:01Hill Secondary.
01:02Pleasantville and Signal Hill shared the Big Five title honours.
01:06And the winners of the Big Five title in 2025, Hillview College.
01:13Let's go to the senior division, Under-20 boys now.
01:17Knockout competition.
01:18We start in Central Zone, where the winners were Gasparillo Secondary.
01:22And the final award in this section is the award for the Premiership Division title.
01:30And the winner once again in the title, Race Naparima College.
01:38Minister Dowlatt indicated that he wants the SSFL to make an even bigger effort to involve more teams in the
01:45tournament.
01:45The SSFL, which was founded in 1964, has a new challenge.
01:55Our president spoke about 102 schools.
02:00There are 134 secondary schools in Trinidad and Tobago.
02:03So you have covered 75, which is excellent.
02:06And our challenge is to involve every single secondary school at whatever level.

02:50The Intercal winners were also presented with their awards, including Pleasantville Secondary.
02:55Five Rivers were the girls under-15 Intercal national champions.
02:59The top player of 2025 and in 2026 went to Nikita Gosain of Pleasantville Secondary.
03:05The Golden Boot Award went to Isaiah Jacob of Presentation San Fernando.
