Tornadoes, damaging wind, hail and flash flooding are all significant concerns, especially from Missouri to Illinois and into Indiana, an area hit particularly hard time and time again this severe weather season.
Transcript
00:00AccuWeather forecasting a high risk for severe weather. Northeast Missouri, central and north-central Illinois yet again and into parts
00:07of Indiana.
00:08This is the same area that seemingly has been hit hard time and time again this spring.
00:14And once again, it's Illinois and Indiana near and north of Interstate 70 with the greatest risk of tornadoes.
00:20Some of these tornadoes could be long-track tornadoes.
00:23We have a very humid environment.
00:24Strong wind shear will lead to numerous rotating thunderstorms that will likely sustain their supercell rotation through several hours.
00:33We're dealing with gusty storms in the morning and then a new episode that will be more aggressive into the
00:38afternoon.
00:38These storms will be rolling east swiftly.
00:40The fast-forward motion of these storms, driven by strong winds aloft, will be very difficult to keep up with.
00:46And those in the path of these need to stay very in touch with the weather warnings, severe weather alerts,
00:51and know where to go when the storms threaten.
00:53Damaging winds, the biggest, most widespread threat, but there will be numerous tornadoes.
00:57Terre Haute, Champaign, Peoria, Quincy, all at significant risk of severe weather.
