00:19nothing more than a tactic by the DOJ to damage his political future as the Democratic leader of
00:24California weighs a run for president once he's out of the governor's mansion. Here's the governor
00:28himself. In recent days, federal agents have knocked on the doors of family, friends and former
00:33employees, not because they found a crime, because they're simply trying to find one.

00:51after me because I'm considering running for president. Newsom's nearly five minute diatribe
00:56goes on to accuse the president of selling the presidency and turning the White House into a
01:01quote marketplace. Now, this is Newsom's latest chess move to seemingly position himself as the
01:07principal anti-Trump, anti-MAGA candidate in a potential 2028 presidential campaign. As for the
01:13investigation itself, officials for the White House declined the post's request for comment,
01:17deferring to officials at the Justice Department.
