00:05Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche in the current administration's quest to root out fraud
00:09across the government. The Justice Department has charged 455 defendants, including at least
00:1490 medical professionals, in schemes involving more than $6.5 billion in false claims submitted
00:21to Medicare, Medicaid, and other health care programs. Federal authorities also seized $182
00:26million in cash and other assets from the alleged fraudsters. Here's Blanche on Tuesday.

00:52would consider medical expenses. One of the biggest single cases involves an Arizona-based
00:57executive accused of billing the government for, quote, unnecessary wound grafts and collecting
01:03more than $1 billion.
