00:00We are investing historic amounts of money into our defence services. We need to make
00:05sure we get it right. And we are in those final stages of getting it right. £270 billion
00:11will be spent on defence over the course of this parliament. That is historic levels.
00:16And we do need to make sure we get it right. We will announce the plan before the NATO
00:20summit. That will have all the details and the costings and it will be set in the frame
00:25of the overall spending of this government where we need to make sure that we get a grip
00:29on public finances. We invest for growth so that we can invest into the future for defence
00:34and other public services as well.
