00:00I was looking through Pro Football Focus.
00:02Oh, real quick.
00:03You got something?
00:04No.
00:04Oh, I thought you had something breaking news.
00:06No, I don't. I'm ready for it.
00:07I'm excited about our soccer.
00:08They just have the Mahomes news, by the way.
00:09We got that in.
00:10We did.
00:10Congrats to him.
00:1163.
00:12Yeah.
00:12Well done.
00:13Well done, sir.
00:15And this comes from Pro Football Focus.
00:17And this is, they did a thing called the ranking of the most valuable non-first round NFL draft
00:23picks since 2016.
00:25Ooh, this is fun.
00:27So they did, they had this ranking.
00:28They had their own ranking.
00:30Okay.
00:30But what I want to do is I'm going to give you the names, and we're going to rank them
00:34ourselves.
00:34There's going to be 10 names.
00:36So we'll start from the bottom.
00:39All right.
00:40We'll start from the bottom and go to the top.
00:42But I'm going to give you the names if you want to jot them down, and then we can debate
00:47in what order we want to put these guys in.
00:49You ready?
00:50Yeah.
00:51Okay.
00:51Number one name is Brock Purdy.
00:54Yeah.
00:55Got it.
00:56Number two name is Jordan Maialata.
01:00Number three name is Tyreek Hill.
01:04Number four name is Dak Prescott.
01:07Number one.
01:08Number five is Puka Nakua.
01:11Number six is George Kittle.
01:14Number seven is Fred Warner.
01:17Dang Niners.
01:19Number eight is Amron St. Brown.
01:21Amron St. Brown.
01:23Am-a-ra St. Brown.
01:25You got that right?
01:26St. Brown?
01:26We're good?
01:28Max Crosby's number nine, and Trey Hendrickson is number ten.
01:34Okay?
01:35Okay.
01:36So if we want to, we could go ten to one.
01:40How do you guys feel about this?
01:42Oh.
01:43That's tough.
01:44These are studs.
01:45Who would be number ten on this list?
01:48These are all players' most valuable non-first-round draft picks since 2016.
01:55If we're, if we're, are we, are we taking in their entire career as a resume, or are we
01:59saying you got to win in 2026 with these guys?
02:02An entire career.
02:03Okay.
02:06Very, very difficult.
02:07I know, this is tough.
02:09Brock Purdy.
02:10You thought Brock Purdy was ten?
02:12Yeah.
02:13I kind of, was Trey Hendrickson a little bit of a late bloomer?
02:17He was drafted by the Saints.
02:19Yeah, he was a late bloomer.
02:20Like, just kind of looking at just full career, I was wondering maybe Hendrickson's the ten
02:23guy, because I could see Purdy, as a quarterback, you know, the quarterback's going to have
02:28to be propped up a little bit.
02:29Like, Purdy has saved the San Francisco 49ers ass, or else they'd have no quarterback.
02:33Kind of looks like Mack Jones could have done it, too.
02:35Yeah, Mack Jones.
02:36Mack Jones.
02:36He was the, yes, yeah, Mack Jones played okay last year.
02:39He did.
02:40Okay.
02:40But before that, they didn't have anybody else that was really competent.
02:44And then Trey Lance was a huge bust.
02:46I mean, they gave up a lot to go get him.
02:48I mean, didn't they go with Jimmy?
02:51That was a long time ago.
02:52They went with Jimmy.
02:53Like, eight years ago.
02:54Yeah.
02:54And then after that, it was nobody else until Purdy.
02:57And then Mack Jones.
02:58Purdy was drafted in 22, by the way.
02:59It was also for Trump pick.
03:00Yeah.
03:04I'd probably have Brock as the tenth player out of this list.
03:08Okay.
03:09Dawson, you're there on that, too?
03:11Yeah.
03:11Yeah.
03:12Chief, you okay with that?
03:12Yeah, I'm fine with it.
03:14I'm fine with it.
03:15Purdy's number ten.
03:16Then, number nine, Maialata, Hill, Prescott, Nakua, Kittle, Warner, St. Brown, Crosby, Hendrickson.
03:30I mean, Hendrickson, he's had a lot of sacks.
03:33But what he does in the run game is not helping you in the same way as a Max Crosby.
03:38And I think all these other guys, their impact, I mean, I don't know.
03:42I lean Hendrickson at nine, too.
03:45Hendrickson.
03:47Hendrickson, then maybe St. Brown.
03:48He's taking a lot of sacks.
03:51Hendrickson might have a great year in Baltimore.
03:53Sure.
03:53You know, if we did this at the end of the year, after he gets to play with Hamilton and
03:57Matt Abike and Mentor.
04:00But yeah, I think right now, I'm comfortable with Trey being at nine.
04:02Okay, so Hendrickson becomes number nine.
04:06That eliminates him there.
04:08Number eight, that means Maialata, Hill, Prescott, Nakua, Kittle, Warner, St. Brown, Crosby.
04:18I'll put Kittle in here just because he's been injured so much.
04:20I agree.
04:21Yeah, he's a really complete player and he's really, really good.
04:24But availability has been the issue.
04:26Yeah, and this is a hair-splitting exercise.
04:28All these guys are next-level nasty.
04:30So, you're going with Kittle at eight.
04:33Okay, number seven.
04:35Again, that leaves us Maialata, Hill, Prescott, Nakua, Warner, St. Brown, Crosby.
04:44St. Brown?
04:46Yeah.
04:47Yeah, that would be my vote.
04:50Because, I mean, with the wide receivers on this list, you're going Puka and like peak
04:55Tyreek Hill.
04:56Yeah.
04:56You're going over St. Brown.
04:58That's just insane.
05:00You know, trying to differentiate between those seven guys.
05:02St. Brown's also a dominant blocker, but so is Puka.
05:05Puka might be just a little bit more versatile than St. Brown.
05:08I think Hill's probably the top of this list because he's actually got Super Bowls on his
05:12resume.
05:14Warner's a cheat code.
05:15Yeah.
05:16Warner's going to be Super Bowls.
05:17Warner, Maialata.
05:18I would think Warner might be top three.
05:19Yeah.
05:20Yeah, he's the best at his position for quite a while.
05:23Yeah, I'd go St. Brown as the next ranking.
05:25Dawson, you get on St. Brown.
05:27I suppose.
05:28Chief.
05:29Yeah.
05:29Yeah, I'm good.
05:30I don't have a better answer for you.
05:31Okay.
05:33Number six.
05:34That means that eliminates...
05:35That means you've got Maialata, Hill, Prescott, Nakua, Warner, Crosby.
05:46Okay.
05:48I mean, at what point does Dak not get the quarterback bump anymore?
05:52Then maybe this is the point.
05:55Think Dak would be your sixth player on this top ten list?
05:58Or would he just put Puka here?
06:02If you're taking position out of it, Puka is maybe the best player at his position.
06:07Yeah, he's been fantastic.
06:08He has been.
06:09I guess I'm approaching it from I'm team building and I'm putting all these through like,
06:13this is your guy.
06:14You're taking this guy in the top ten.
06:16Would you rather have somebody else?
06:18And I would most like to have Dak.
06:23Yeah, I mean...
06:24What about Maialata here?
06:26That's where I was leaning.
06:28That's why I actually wrote it down already.
06:29Okay.
06:30Maialata.
06:30Maialata is it.
06:31You're going to tell me he's a top five left tackle?
06:32No, I love Maialata.
06:34I think he's absolutely outstanding.
06:35But I do think at some point, you know, has he always been the best lineman on his team?
06:40And that's not necessarily a detriment to him.
06:42That could be a stupid argument on my part.
06:43But like Kelsey, Lane Johnson, you know, he has benefited from other really star linemen
06:49across from him.
06:50That leaves you Hill, Prescott, Nakua, Warner, and Crosby at number five.
07:00I think this is where I'd go Dak.
07:04Yeah, I think that's totally fair.
07:07I mean, Max Crosby is like an iron man.
07:10Great run defender.
07:12Great pass rusher.
07:13On the field all the time.
07:16Has he been a defensive player of the year?
07:18I don't think he's been a defensive player of the year, has he?
07:21Crosby?
07:22No.
07:22The man plays 12 games, you make the playoffs, unless you have the worst defense in franchise
07:26history.
07:27I'm offended that you guys put Dak Prescott here.
07:30I'd go with Tyreek Hill.
07:32It's 2-1.
07:352-1?
07:36I think it's 2-1.
07:38Yeah, I'm going to put Dak here.
07:39All right, Dawson.
07:40Because people are ticked that we're putting Purdy over Dak, and I get it.
07:42I just think Dak's done less with more in his career.
07:44Number four.
07:45That gives you Hill, Nakua, Warner, Crosby.
07:49Or more with less, I should say.
07:51Anyway, here is where Hill, Nakua, Warner, Crosby.
08:00I'd go Puka here.
08:02But that's tough.
08:03But I'm not going to put Puka over Tyreek.
08:05Tyreek's got a ring, and I think Warner and Crosby have been arguably the best at their
08:11positions, too, at times.
08:12Puka's there now, but what is it, two years we're looking at for Puka?
08:16Yeah.
08:16I think the others just have more years that they've done it at that similar level.
08:21I mean, Puka, as a rookie, was setting rookie records.
08:24Yeah, he was.
08:25But Tyreek was also winning Super Bowls.
08:28No, I get that.
08:29And he was making big plays.
08:31Yeah.
08:31I mean, the Wasp, they're not winning that championship without dialing up the Tyreek Hill play.
08:36Yeah, and just the amount of respect that defense has given him.
08:39Yeah, the speed.
08:39And then he still was damn good in Miami, even when he changed offenses and quarterbacks.
08:44He was putting up crazy numbers for a while.
08:46Is this Nakua?
08:47Or Crosby, for me.
08:50Make a choice.
08:50All right, go ahead.
08:51Break the tie.
08:52Puka or Crosby?
08:53I was going to say Warner.
08:55Warner?
08:56Okay.
08:57Oh, well, crap.
08:58All right, you can break the tie, Brian.
09:01I like what everybody's saying here.
09:03I'm going to put Nakua here.
09:04Okay.
09:06Okay.
09:07Number three.
09:09That means you have Hill left, Warner left, Crosby left.
09:15Dawson's going to say that probably he thinks that this is Warner, since he was going to vote for him
09:20at four.
09:21Yeah, I was going to vote for Tyreek at five, wasn't I?
09:24Yeah.
09:24You were.
09:25You want Tyreek here?
09:26Yeah.
09:27It's fine with me.
09:29Cool.
09:30Chief?
09:30Yeah.
09:31Cool.
09:31Hill, that's number three.
09:32All right, now you're down to Warner and Max Crosby for two and then one.
09:41Yeah, Warner's so great at his job, and whether it's stopping the run or being a force in zone coverage,
09:47like, there's nobody like Fred Warner.
09:49Um, so I don't want to take anything away from him, but the reason I was going to put him
09:54higher up is just that you can't compare what he's doing to being able to whoop a tackle and get
10:01you 50 or 60 pressures.
10:03Um, so, if I've got to choose between those two, you know, I'd slot Warner in here.
10:09How about you there, Wooley?
10:11Yeah, I'm, I'm, I have so much respect for Fred Warner.
10:15I mean, I've seen him.
10:15Just what he's done versus the Cowboys.
10:17Yeah, those two years, he was, he's Dak Prescott's kryptonite.
10:20I think Fred Warner's just an absolute savage.
10:22Okay, so that means the number one player on our list would be Max Crosby, is who that would be.
10:31No, I think it'd be Warner, right?
10:33I thought you said, I thought you said Warner at two.
10:35I'd go Crosby at two and Warner at one.
10:38I was saying Warner, I just have so much respect for Warner.
10:40Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
10:41And I, I do, I have love for both of them, but, yeah, I think, I think I'd go Warner
10:46slightly over Max.
10:48Yeah, very, very difficult, but I probably would too.
10:50Oh, say for that's for, for that's for number one?
10:53Yeah, so yeah, Crosby at one.
10:55So Crosby at two.
10:56Maybe I'm crazy.
10:57Crosby at two, Warner at one.
11:00Okay, so here it is.
11:02Just the way that they did it, the way that Pro Football Focus did it was,
11:06they went Purdy, Maialata, Hill, Prescott, Nakua, Kittle, Warner, St. Brown, Crosby, Hendrickson.
11:16That's the order they went in.
11:18Where Hendrickson was their number one player?
11:20That was number 10.
11:21Oh, number 10.
11:21That was one to 10.
11:22One was Purdy.
11:23Yeah, number one was Purdy.
11:24And maybe we're not giving Purdy enough respect.
11:27I just still have not, he's struggled any time he doesn't have, like, you know, the elite
11:31parts around him.
11:32And I guess some pushbacks, like, well, what's Dak done, you know, without some of that?
11:36But I still would say Dak, I think, has had more success with, like, no Trent Williams,
11:42Purdy sucks.
11:42Yeah.
11:43If he doesn't have a good left, has he had a good left tackle the last couple of years?
11:46And he's still been putting up great numbers.
11:47Here is the Gbag Nation.
11:49It would be Warner, Crosby, Hill, Nakua, Prescott, Maialata, St. Brown, Kittle, Hendrickson,
11:58and Purdy.
