00:00so as promised yesterday uh we're going to be diving into some of these polls because of course
00:05uh i got to tell you guys the real story about what's going on uh with these upcoming midterms
00:12and we're going to get into a long-standing member of the democrat party a prominent member
00:17of the democrat party admitting the quiet part out loud all right but before we hop into that
00:23make sure you guys smack that like button all right and if you're not subscribed already hit
00:26that subscribe button and with that being said let's just jump right on into this first generic
00:31ballot poll and uh here we have it generic congressional ballot it looks like republicans
00:37are down only two this this just dropped okay down only two points okay in a time in a place
00:50where
00:51democrats or the party out of power is typically up by six
00:58not looking good for democrats not looking good and it's really not looking good
01:01when you take into consideration this poll here look at this net favorability party ahead at this
01:07point midterm of years with the gop president in 2018 dems were up by 12 in 2006 on net favorability
01:13which party like more dems are ahead by 18 republicans are actually ahead on net favorability
01:18at this point by five points so democrats are just simply put running behind their previous
01:23benchmarks and they need to be running well ahead of them if they want to take back the united states
01:27senate given that map to be clear um 2006 they were plus 18 2018 they were plus 12 in the
01:37year of 2026
01:40they are negative five yeah yep that is where we are and i also want to take you guys over
01:50to nbc
01:51and a poll that they recently conducted because there's something quite interesting
01:56that they show in this poll but they really don't talk about a lot and i found that quite interesting
02:01check it out how realistic is it that democrats are actually going to be able to retake the senate
02:06and if so what is their path in order to do so yeah mel i guess the answer to that
02:10question is how
02:11realistic do you think it is for democrats to win in not one but two pretty deeply pro trump states
02:18that's what they'd have to do to get the senate look at it this way here's the big picture map
02:21democrats need a net gain of four seats if they're going to take back the senate now the first order
02:26of business for them is they don't want to lose any ground they got to protect a couple seats here
02:30the three you're thinking of there's john ossoff in georgia it's also democratic held seats in new
02:35hampshire and michigan they don't want to lose any of those that would only add to the republican
02:39majority and make the democrats hill probably too much steep but too steep but if they do win those
02:44three hold on to them then they still need that net gain of four seats and they'd be looking to
02:49do it
02:49probably from this list these are the six republican seats that i think to some degree folks think
02:55are going to be in play this year now again democrats need four you could look at maine
03:00susan collins running in a state that already didn't vote for trump that's the most realistic
03:05for democrats of course collins has survived in some tough conditions before but that could be
03:09one for democrats north carolina democrats excited about their candidate there the former governor
03:14roy cooper trump only won it by three points that's not unrealistic at all for democrats that could
03:19be two but then draw a line there because the complexion politically of these states changes
03:24ohio alaska iowa texas democrats hoping to knock to pick up republican seats here all of them
03:31double digit states for donald trump these aren't just red states these are in the trump era these
03:36are very red states certainly in 2024 and in the political atmosphere is just different in red states
03:42take a look at this this from sort of a compilation of all of our nbc news cnbc polling our
03:48pollsters put
03:49this together here trump states that's what we're talking about democrats needing to win
03:53at least two of those senate races here versus swing states versus harris states views of donald trump
03:59in swing states they're almost 10 points more negative than positive in trump states trump is
04:04above water by three points views of the democratic party they're not good anywhere 23 points negative
04:10in swing states but almost 10 points worse than that in red states views of the republican party they're
04:16not that good anywhere but they're almost even in these trump states so again if democrats are going
04:21to win back the senate this year they got to protect all their seats but they got to win two
04:27of this
04:28group of four they probably have to win two of this group of four in a very uh a much
04:34less hostile
04:35environment in all the states to trump than you're going to get in the average swing state now
04:39and what you see here is also one of the reasons why i said you know getting rid of susan
04:44collins is
04:45going to be pretty darn difficult because of where she's elected in uh and that's maine the state of
04:51maine uh so we might just be stuck with uh susan collins okay i know it's unfortunate she's basically a
04:57democrat uh no kidding with the way that she votes but um yeah we're we're kind of stuck with her
05:03now i do
05:04want to go back because uh he just kind of breezed right on through these numbers and i want to
05:10i want to
05:11highlight a couple of things so while he's highlighting that the view of trump is negative
05:17eight in swing states uh he kind of just breezed by the fact that the view of democrats in these
05:24same
05:25swing states is negative 23 yeah uh more than double worse than uh the view of trump so uh how
05:38is that
05:39going to work absolutely absolutely completely underwater in in um in these in these swing
05:48states and then when you talk about the gop they're still even worse off than you know the gop
05:57so how do you plan on flipping anything i mean let's say that they have the numbers correctly which
06:04i don't think that they do in swing states i don't think trump is negative eight right we've
06:09always seen that the polls are wrong right you guys remember the iowa poll the famous iowa poll oh my
06:14goodness trump's gonna lose iowa to kamala yay um we saw that turned out you know and so but let's
06:23take
06:23let's give them the benefit of the doubt right trump's negative eight but democrats are negative 23 points
06:34like how do you swing that you can't you absolutely can't and even if you just want to go gop
06:40versus
06:40dims the gop is still in a better position so um and i mean even even if you want to
06:48look at
06:49states that kamala won right
06:54the view of trump and the view of jeez i can't talk i'm sounding like joe biden over here
07:02the view of trump and the view of the gop yeah they're they're in the 30s but the view of
07:07their
07:07own party is negative 15 still now these states don't really matter right because we're talking
07:13about swing states and trump held states so these are the numbers that actually matter and these spell
07:18doom for the democrat party right here so uh not looking good not looking good and when you take
07:24a deeper dive into things it's really not looking good because i think the democrat party sees that
07:29the writing is on the wall and so you see a lot of scrambling going on and i kind of
07:33touched on this a
07:34little bit yesterday this uh from axios dim leaders and would-be leaders have shifted shifted their views
07:42on border security dei crime climate change covet era lockdowns and more all with an eye on this
07:49year's midterms in the 2028 presidential election so even internally they see the writing on the wall
07:56because if they i mean if nothing was going on internally if they were confident internally
08:01they wouldn't be trying to shift right to change their views right before the midterms
08:06they would just go along with what they've always done here's a bit more uh news coming out from the
08:14democrat party news warren smith and murphy are part of a fight club group of progressive senators
08:22frustrated with schumer's midterm strategy accusing him of favoring centrist over outsider candidates
08:30they've used the private signal chat to coordinate pushback so you have the bad polling you've got
08:40some democrats trying to shift their their their speech right and in things that they say they
08:46believe in and then you also have this internal struggle this internal fighting this internal push
08:52back and forth from the far left and the establishment the establishment wants to move back towards the
08:59middle as you see as you just heard there with chuck schumer chuck schumer wants to move the party back
09:04towards the center while you got a lot of other folks within the democrat party that are like no
09:11we want we want to keep pushing this thing further left we ain't far enough yet and so you have
09:17this
09:17fracturing of the democrat party now i want to end off this video with this clip here from rob emmanuel
09:25and if you aren't familiar with who rob emmanuel is he is oh he was obama's uh chief of staff
09:31and the clinton's political director so this is a guy who's he's in the nose no right he he he's
09:41been
09:41in in in the midst of things i want you to take a listen to what he has to say
09:47about the democrat
09:48party and where they are today we lost the plot we as democrats nationally from latinx to defunding the
09:54police to police organizations are all racist to bringing a set of cultural wars to our schools we
10:00are on the losing side of those cultural wars full stop you are worried about bathroom access and
10:05locker room access why don't you focus on classroom excellence you have 50 of our kids not reading at
10:11grade level well they can just say we can do both you've proven you can't because you've permitted
10:15a 30 year low and reading and math scores and nobody seems to be calling the whistle on this
10:20we've lost the plot why because the party got unanchored every one of our most successful
10:26electoral presidents anchor themselves in what i call middle class values and values that are
10:31universal at least in this country ascribe to we went from acceptance to advocacy big difference and
10:39i'll just take one on that i shouldn't so here it goes i remember fighting for title nine the reason
10:45we are champions in women's sports in the olympics and soccer hockey except it's title nine why would
10:50you undercut the premise of title nine with the ability of trans men playing in women's sports to
10:57me it's insane it's baffling you're undermining one of the great accomplishments we as a country but
11:02also spearheaded by the democratic party title nine and we're undercutting it
11:11from a party insider himself we've lost the plot when speaking about the democrat party we've lost
11:20the plot i think that says everything you need to know now of course all of this means a hill
11:27of beans
11:27if we don't show up in the midterms to do what we're supposed to do right and vote so yes
11:34this is
11:35all encouraging and that was the whole purpose of this because you're gonna get bombarded with a
11:40bunch of doom and gloom and it's over for the republican party democrats are gonna take over
11:47you know you guys have seen it before you guys have seen it and heard it all before right uh
11:53but
11:53before you get before you hear all of that i wanted to give you the actual facts okay the real
12:00news
12:00because the fake news is going to be hitting you very very soon if it hasn't hit you already
12:06all right now get prepared we got a lot of voting to do in these midterms uh we got some
12:13people to
12:13vote out we got john cornyn uh his his uh i believe his his uh runoff is is it next
12:20month i believe it's
12:21next month so if you live in the great state of texas make sure you participate ken paxton is the
12:28way
12:28to go john cornyn the rhino must go um where else uh kentucky right mitch mcconnell is stepping down
12:38so we got to make sure that he is replaced with an america first republican i need to look back
12:43at
12:44some of these uh dates on these races so i can uh talk about those in other videos as well
12:50but anyway yeah prepare yourselves ladies and gentlemen we got a lot of work to do
12:55but it can get done and we can come out on top still which is saying a lot
13:01it's saying a lot considering we should not be in this position based on historical precedence
