01:22In Bolivia, the police forces of Rodrigo Paz's government are using paramilitary groups to repress the protesters, which have been
01:29demonstrating for five weeks now.
01:31As the government's desperation grows and continue demonstrations, Bolivians are denouncing human rights violations, with reports indicating that the Bolivian
01:39police and army distributed explosive devices to terrorist groups seeking to cause bloodshed.
01:45This comes after a call made by President Rodrigo Paz himself for civilians to mobilize alongside law enforcement.
01:52A large-scale clearing operation has been reported in the municipality of San Julián, which led to clashes between police
01:58officers and protesters, who tried to prevent the intervention.
02:08And in Bolivia, the spokesperson for the Evo Pueblo movement, Cristian Velasco, denounced that the government of Rodrigo Paz is
02:15maintaining a political persecution against Bolivian social leaders.
02:20We wish to denounce that, in recent hours, the government of Rodrigo Paz has initiated a political persecution and a
02:29hunt against the leadership of social organizations, as well as against certain individuals who are being forcibly linked to the
02:37mobilizations demanding the resignation of Rodrigo Paz, due to his inability to resolve the problems of the Bolivian people.
02:45In this regard, we have received information from officials within the ministry of government, who do not agree with what
02:53they describe as state terrorism that targets Bolivian citizens.
02:58They state that a list of at least 50 people, including leaders and individuals linked to the social protests, has
03:07been drawn up in order to initiate their arrest and detention.
03:13And on Friday, Colombia's president Gustavo Petro ratified his complaint against the U.S. President Donald Trump for disrespecting his
03:20country's sovereignty, and calling all Colombians to avoid the mistakes that led to violence in the past.
03:25From Córdoba, in the northeast of the country, President Petro once again demanded respect for the White House.
03:31The Colombian head of state claims that the U.S. intervention in the electoral process is not an isolated act,
03:37but a political operation that Washington has planned with sectors that he described as adversaries of democracy and the fight
03:44against drugs.
03:45He also called that President Trump broke the promise they made in Washington.
03:56Also, Colombia president Gustavo Petro has confirmed that he will step down from the presidency on August 6, in response
04:02to opposition criticism regarding his continued presence in office.
04:06The statements were made after the first run of elections, which was led by the right-wing candidate, Abelardo de
04:12la Espriella, and amid allegations and evidence of electoral fraud presented by his government.
04:17Additionally, the president rejected any external or internal interference in the country's political decision-making process, alluring to Donald Trump's
04:25support for de la Espriella.
04:27Petro also stated that if there is one thing a democratic power must do, it's to obey their people and
04:34their mandate, which ends on August 6.
04:36Furthermore, he recalled that he assumed the presidency in 2022 by popular decision and has always acted under the constitution
04:43and the law.
05:12In Parú, presidential candidates Keiko Fujimori and Roberto Sanchez are set to face each other for the country's run of
05:18presidential elections on Sunday.
05:20Over 27 million registered voters are expected to participate in the first run of the election that was on April
05:2712, where Fujimori and Sanchez prevailed over some 30 candidates.
05:31In the sense, closing campaign events for both candidates were held on Thursday under regulations established by the National Jury

09:15The demonstrators called for fuel to be shipped to the island and denounced the severe consequences of the economic blockade

09:22which is worsening the energy crisis and directly affecting the Cuban population.
09:27The protest sought to highlight the impact of what participants described as a criminal policy.

10:13On Saturday, she arrived in Mumbai, the main financial and industrial center of the country,
10:17where she will consolidate new mechanisms of strategic cooperation between the two nations.
10:22This is basically part of the Bolivarian executive's efforts to expand international alliances
10:26and strengthen a shared development agenda with one of the main actors of the global south.
10:31Mumbai will be setting for the high-level meetings on Saturday,
10:35in promoting joint projects in key areas for both nations.
10:39The working day will include a review of initiatives related to energy, trade, investment, technology, transport,
10:45the formal suitable industry and renewable energies, among others.
10:55Meanwhile, Venezuela's acting president, Desiree Rodriguez, held a meeting with the U.S. ambassador to India,

12:54Also in Brazil, the Loneless World Workers Movement, MST, held the fourth Day of Nature in the state of Paraná.
13:01As part of its environmental and farming movement, the collective is carrying out aerial seeding
13:06and distributing 30 tons of Yuraka palm seeds asking native species for restoring the Atlantic forest.
13:12It is worth noting that these reforestation activities are being carried out in indigenous territories,
