00:12rising cost of support for vulnerable children and adults. A two-year contract will see the
00:17company assist the council in reducing the number of young people in care. The council
00:22also hopes more adults with health problems will be helped to live independently instead
00:27of being placed in costly residential homes. The deal is worth £6 million per year but
00:33is designed to help the local authority save £45.8 million in the longer term. The contract
00:40could be extended for a further two years.
