04:34It's the final day on Celebrity Treasure Island. The final three and the final hunt.
04:42The players get ready.
04:45Somebody will win a hundred thousand dollars for their charity today.

04:51We have had to say goodbye to every single one of our mates and I think that the only thing
04:57that we owe
04:58all of our friends is to go handy and give it everything and so that everyone else's game
05:07means something. We all know what a privilege it is to be here and we honor everyone that isn't by
05:14giving our best.
05:15We've all spent a lot of time away from the people that love us and need us and I want
05:20it to mean something today.
05:21I want to pick up the hundred thousand for my charity.
05:26I've got to figure out how I'm going to carry all this stuff.
05:29Ever since day one here on Treasure Island, me and OG Kahu would sit and yarn about making it to
05:37the end.

10:38During this game, you have discovered the story of the last refuge.
10:43And the signs they left that point to the gold they buried.

10:49Because it holds the clues you need to navigate this final stretch and uncover the treasure they never reclaimed.
10:56This treasure hunt will take you down the beach and into the dunes above.
11:02But it's not going to be that simple.
11:04Throughout the day, you'll need to complete challenges and collect symbols, which will be needed to pinpoint exactly where that
11:11buried treasure is.
11:12Some of you may already have one of these.
11:17Also, don't forget your cards.
11:19Each one buys you time or another kind of advantage in this game.
11:22Use them wisely and you could get a foot up on the opponents.
11:25They have six advantages that they can directly dump on top of me.
11:30And I only have one little block.
11:33It's going to be a long day of trying to play catch up.
11:35Only one of you can take this thing out.
11:38And whoever's shovel hits that treasure chest first will take home $100,000 for their chosen charity.
11:46Alright.
11:47To get your first symbol, you must race through this obstacle course and collect one ball at a time.
11:55Once you've collected all eight balls, you must land the balls in the holes situated throughout the course.
12:03Once all eight balls are in all eight holes, you can grab the first symbol you need to find the
12:08treasure.
12:08And head to the next challenge.
12:13Liv, you won an advantage for this challenge.

12:16This card gives you, and only you, the power to jump ahead in the first challenge.

15:43We've got to dig real deep to try to catch up to her.

15:51I'm definitely aware of Nix and Louie, and like, I'm aware that I do actually have a bit of time

16:26My head keeps hitting the rope, and I get a mouthful of sand.
16:31And I'm thinking to myself, come on, girl, keep going.

16:43I'm crawling around in the sand, and I think catching Liv is a lost cause,
16:48and I just got to focus on trying to stay with Nix.

18:20try and just keep building the momentum.
18:25I'm feeling pretty worried that I'm just going to get too far behind today.
18:30If I'm done doubting Liv, I've got no idea how I'm going to catch it.

24:38who knows what's later in the game so it just feels like a bad idea to play it at the
24:42stage
24:42Nick's looking to nail that last one and she's away the last one that I've got to get is the
24:49furthest one away which means I really have to dig deep so I can get a really solid bounce all

26:32and then I'm like no I can't have that mentality I've got to stay in it just like keep going
26:51I think this throws me off of it because I start throwing them a bit more frantically I'm having so
26:55many misses on the rim I'm just getting more and more annoyed the more balls I throw and they're not
27:06going in Nick spins letters on her large rotating puzzle my brains just like scrambled I can't even
27:20think of words at the moment so I just start moving the letters around and when I put the R
27:31first I
27:34I hear a cook and I'm like oh my god it's got to be ruined so I spell it out
27:41U-I-N-S and I have cook and my spades unleashed
27:50next gets her shovel before anyone else makes it scrambles her word I can't risk Louis on my tail
28:00have you got four symbols now uh where is oh yeah all right read that follow the orange path out

28:08here if you've come this far the map is no longer whole we left our marks upon this land so
28:14we would
28:15not forget the way 24 symbols carved and painted stands as the last memory of what we once were
28:22only four symbols will complete the final path Nick's runs off ahead with her shovel
28:29if you don't have all four symbols a small diversion awaits
28:33only the four symbols will reveal the place where earth and story meet place the symbols true and
28:42the lines will cross there beneath the x lies the treasure that bound the last refuge and destroyed it
28:52I get to the top of the hill
28:56and all I see are these symbols scattered everywhere the symbols are painted on signs dotted across a
29:04swathe of the dunes and I'm thinking oh my god I don't even read maps how am I gonna do
29:12this
29:25I hear Liv hit her last tag and she's off and this makes me throw the walls even faster
29:38I'm getting frustrated and it's making the balls go further off target celebrity treasure island
29:47celebrity treasure island Liv runs hard across the dunes as Louis keeps throwing
29:54go on Liv I've got to get moving because I know that Louis won't take long at all and Max
30:01is already ahead
30:05maybe if I line up all my symbols it might be right bullseye in the middle somewhere so there's the

30:17there's that one I'm in line with those and then
30:26I need to find these two
30:30Liv jogs down to the word puzzle
30:34Liv enters the arena now which means Nick's had a 10 minute and 35 second lead
30:40but that could all mean nothing Chris Parker lives brother was miles behind in his treasure hunt
30:48but he dug in and he won that treasure for his charity
30:54there's an element of me that feels really intimidated because puzzling is not my forte
30:58but I also know that it's not Louis either
31:03Louis is still throwing balls
31:06it's not my way to give up and however far I get behind I'm just going to keep moving
31:21it ricochets off the ground it goes in Louis moving on
31:26you catch those girls you run them down
31:31I'm way behind I have no idea where Nick's and Liv are and I just need a whole lot of
31:40luck and maybe a miracle

31:47I think that's okay so the X the triangle the bullseye and that so the bullseye's up here
32:00I find the four symbols all I can think of is the one time I ever read a map
32:06and it was longitude and latitude and right there that's the coordinate

32:45some survivor from the last refuge comes to me in my brain and just goes

32:50gonna have to work this one out herself

34:18I needed a little wind right now
34:20and so hopefully make up some ground on Nix and Liv
34:22he runs off back up the hill as Nix is digging in the sand
34:27I can't believe that I'm ahead
34:33I'm scared of Liv and Louis catching up with me
34:41I need any little ounce of time to try to get to the treasure
34:52and then I see Louis and Liv come over the hill and I'm like oh my god
34:57I just think to myself don't worry about them
35:00if your gut is telling you you're in the right area keep going
35:06Louis heads off to explore the area shovel in hand as Nix keeps digging
35:11I'm just immediately overwhelmed by how much ground there is
35:20we might be digging for days
35:24my brain is fried at this point and there are every single symbol out there
35:33I just kind of beeline for the X at the back because it's the last symbol
35:43reading the clue my guess is we got four points and that will give us a central point where we
35:51need to dig
35:53I start just walking around first trying to find my four symbols
35:59there's some that are close but not close
36:04it hasn't been disturbed it looks like these roots here
36:15might be digging in the absolute wrong place

36:56there's three in a line and one off to the side which is kind of throwing us off
37:05there's 24 symbols out there in the treasure field
37:14I've counted 22
37:16so there's two more symbols that I don't know where the hell they are
37:20oh my goodness gracious
37:24she keeps searching wandering the sands
37:26what the hell is those I come up over a ridge and there's two symbols right there

37:37and one of them is the exact one that I need
37:42the triangle okay so
37:46dirt dirt
37:49again I line them all up
38:02and guess where it takes me
38:04and I'm back here
38:06right where I first started digging
38:14I don't really know how these four points give us a dig site
38:19and so I think back to the clue
38:22it says where earth and story meet
38:24and to me this is the Moana where the land touches the ocean
38:31the great beyond
38:35and so I'm just off running to the ocean
38:42I'm nowhere near where I need to be
38:49Louis stands and surveys the landscape around him as the others dig

39:39in my metaphoric mind think lay them true lay them the way that they're going
39:44the target and the x they're opposite to each other and then there's an asterisk
39:50that's on the other side but there's like this one triangle that's just randomly in the middle
39:55and I'm like that makes no sense because that can't point anywhere
39:59I go for a wee walk just to try and cleave my head
40:05and then I find another triangle and I'm like oh
40:11and then I realize oh that's probably the triangle
40:16what do you got Liv just that other triangle
40:20down there it's that triangle why do you think that
40:23well there's just another one and the other one feels opposite to that one
40:27and then that one is opposite to that one
40:34all roads point back to where Nix has been digging
40:39these are our markers you're digging in the right spot
40:42and I start freaking out Louis and Liv are now in my area
40:50they have now realized I think Nix is on to something
40:55so you just have a dig fest here
40:57yeah and they come waltzing over with their spades and they start digging
41:07I just need to put my spade in the dirt and just keep digging
41:14close by each other the tired players dig with their spades in the sand
41:30and I hit something and I'm like what is that oh my god keep digging
41:39and then all of a sudden
41:45I just hear Nix go oh my god I got it
41:48be serious I think I do
41:53I'm thinking nah no way this can't this can't be it
42:07Nix digs with her hands
42:09oh my god no way
42:16because this stuff doesn't happen to me
42:20Louis and Liv hug her
42:30Nix shakes her head
42:32it's like I just so badly want to cry
42:35but I'm just filled with way too much shock
42:38and the feeling of being overwhelmed that the tears can't get out
