00:37The mission aims to support the response to the ongoing Ebola outbreak affecting the African country,
00:46which has placed the health authorities across the region on alert.
00:51The deployment is expected to last approximately three months.
00:56According to data from the World Health Organization,
01:01the outbreak has record more than 300 confirmed cases,
01:06and around 60 deaths.
01:11Amid recent transmission trends that have raised epidemiological concerns,
01:17The Chinese medical team is working in coordination with the Congolese Minister of Health
01:24and the World Health Organization on epidemiological surveillance,
01:30diagnostic and clinical treatment,
01:33with the objective of strengthening local response capacity and emergency.
01:39Beijing stated that it continues to closely monitor the situation and remains ready to provide additional assistance if necessary.
