00:01Health officials in the Democratic Republic of Congo are scrambling to contain a new Ebola outbreak
00:09as medical teams set up quarantine zones in densely populated areas
00:15and authorities issue urgent appeal for international support.
00:22We need international aid. This virus affects us all, so it's up to all of us to step up and
00:32help one another.
00:33And it's a shame that aid is declining, because as aid declines, the result is that we have less protection
00:40for nurses and less scientific research.
00:45It comes a day after the World Health Organization raised the alarm over the scale and speed of the Ebola
00:51outbreak, which has killed more than 130 people.
00:56It's important to note here that, according to the President of the Republic, all communities affected by these viruses must
01:04receive the necessary government support.
01:06And even for those in the occupied territories, we are working on it.
01:12Officials say no vaccine or treatment exists for the Bundi Bunda strain of Ebola linked to more than 540 possible
01:21cases.
