00:19He has the longest scoreless stretch consecutively in Philly's franchise history.
00:24Oral Hershizer, I believe, sits at 59 innings, and Sanchez is just under 45 consecutive scoreless innings.
00:31Meanwhile, Jacob Mizorowski did allow an earned run, but it's a 0.23 ERA in six May starts.
00:40This guy struck out more guys.
00:42The FIP is lower, the Fielding Independent Pitching, but Jacob Mizorowski was a strikeout machine.
00:47Now, Sanchez was an innings-eating and Sterling scoreless machine.
00:52So, I ask you simply, who's your National League Pitcher of the Month in the month of May?

01:09Like, I know we don't really value that ultimately when it comes to these guys.

01:15I mean, Mizorowski lost a game where I think he allowed the one run, and he was utterly dominant.
01:20And it's a really tough one this month.
01:23And we were kind of debating it in the social chat of, like, who do we give the nod to?
01:27I do, even looking at the innings output, like, you'd think maybe Sanchez could separate a little bit more.
01:32He was only two-thirds of an inning more.
01:34At the end of the day, though, if you don't give up a run for the month, I think it's
01:37got to go to that guy.
01:38I know Mizorowski only gave up one, but Sanchez gave up zero.
01:42The other one is Mizorowski made one more start than Sanchez.
01:45So, Sanchez was going far deeper into outings than Mizorowski was.
01:49I would say that's why.
01:50So, you get two more outs in one less outing.
01:53I mean, Christopher Sanchez is the most impressive starter in terms of length at this point that we've seen.
02:00I mean, he's averaging nearly seven innings per start.
02:02It's outrageous.
02:03Also, the strikeout to walk rate, which Mizorowski is already off the charts, too.
02:08But to walk less than one batter per nine in a month, it was .69 batters per nine this month
02:14for Christopher Sanchez.
02:16I mean, the guy is not going to beat himself, and then it's impossible to beat him as well.
02:20And I know Mizorowski has been on the same wavelength right now.
02:23But to make one extra start and still not allow a run, I think it's got to be Christopher Sanchez.
02:28And Jacob Mizorowski may have the best month ever to not win pitcher of the month.
02:34That's total just pulling that out of my you-know-what.
02:36But, like, I can't imagine.
02:38I can't fathom a much better month where you strike out 57, walk six.
02:42Opponents have a 271 OPS against you, and you somehow don't win pitcher of the month in six starts.
02:48But I think I got to go with the guy that went, to your point, two-thirds of an inning.

02:54And, I mean, didn't allow a run.
02:57It's the 271 OPS against for Mizorowski that, like, has me hung up a little bit.
03:03Because Mizorowski, we talked about it.
03:05The last extra base hit that he allowed before that double in his final start in May was in mid
03:11-April.
03:12Like, this guy went a whole month without allowing an extra base hit.
03:15Meanwhile, Sanchez goes a month without allowing a run.
03:1945-3 in the strikeout to walk jumps out.
03:21And you could say, well, Mizorowski only walked six.
03:23Yeah, but he walked twice as many guys as Sanchez did.
