00:00So I'll be honest, I did not have this conference on my bingo card for
00:04this spring.
00:06I know you all have heard me say for a number of years at this point that Miles Garrett,
00:13he's a foundational player, Hall of Fame worthy, and
00:17a homegrown talent that's been here for the decades.
00:19And our intent was to have him be a one helmet player for his career.
00:25And that was the truth.
00:27And even to this day, when Miles' career is over, we look forward to welcoming him
00:32back into the organization.
00:35But there are moments, particularly in my job, where opportunities come up that, quite
00:43honestly, are unexpected.
00:45And they force you to stop and reevaluate and look at it and say, hey, is this something
00:50that could be really beneficial to the team?
00:53And that was the case in this instance where, you know, it got to a certain point where we
01:01looked at, you know, what the trade details were.
01:05And we asked ourselves, OK, you know, do we hold here, regardless of, you know, how, you know,
01:14because of how emotionally right it felt?
01:17Or do we ultimately make a decision that, you know, we think has a huge benefit, you know,
01:23the team in both the short, you know, and long term.
