00:00For I'll be honest, I did not have this conference on my bingo card for
00:04this spring.
00:06I know you all have heard me say for a number of years at this point that
00:12Miles Garrett is a foundational player huld fameworthy and
00:17a homegrown talent that's been here for the decades.
00:20Our intent was to have him be a one-helmet player for his career and
00:25that was the truth.
00:27and even to this day
00:28when Miles' career is over
00:30we look forward to welcoming him back
00:32into the organization
00:35but there are moments
00:37particularly in my job
00:38where opportunities
00:41come up that quite honestly
00:43are unexpected
00:45and they force you to stop
00:47and reevaluate and look at it and say
00:48hey is this something that could be
00:51really beneficial to the team
00:53and that was the case
00:55in this instance
00:56where it got to a certain point
00:59where we looked at
01:02what the trade details were
01:04and we asked ourselves
01:07do we hold here
01:12regardless of
01:14because of how emotionally right it felt
01:17or do we ultimately make a decision
01:19that we think has a huge benefit
01:22to the team in both the short
01:25and long term
