AccuWeather's Geoff Cornish warns of active severe weather starting Tuesday, with the chances of damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes from eastern Montana into the Dakotas.

00:00Severe thunderstorms will redevelop every afternoon into the evening and the early part of the night through the plains each
00:06day this week.
00:07We're looking at eastern Montana into the western half of the Dakotas on Tuesday afternoon and night for the strongest
00:13storms,
00:13though there will be some farther south as well.
00:16But places like Williston, Minot, and then into Glendive, Montana, and Spearfish, South Dakota, not far from Rapid City,
00:22will see the greatest risk of damaging wind, isolated tornadoes, and also some hail.
00:26There will be some small risk for flash flooding, but again, wind and hail driving the main risks here on
00:32Tuesday.
00:33Wednesday, we take a step a little farther east into the eastern half of the Dakotas and also central South
00:38Dakota.
00:39Fargo will take center stage as one of the larger population centers facing a damaging wind and hail threat,
00:44and it may come in waves there in the afternoon and then again into the evening and night.
00:48So look out for some of those hazards.
00:50Isolated tornadoes still a concern.
00:52Thursday, the risk spreads a little farther south into more of western Nebraska, eastern Colorado.
00:56We're going to see a flash flood risk in parts of west Texas and New Mexico.
