00:10What does it mean to you to be celebrating women in film?
00:13It's incredible.
00:14I share this honor with five other incredible women.
00:18I grew up in Morocco.
00:19It's difficult to do the film when you're coming from this part of the world.
00:23It means a lot to me.
00:25And I'm very grateful for this opportunity.
00:26Now, who do you draw a filmmaking inspiration from?
00:30My inspiration from musical theater and film.

00:35I think for me, it all began with the great Andrew Lloyd Webber, Phantom of the Opera, to be very

00:41And then in film, I think I'm going to have to say Guillermo del Toro.

00:55What is one film that you love that you want more people to know about?
01:00I think lots of people know about The Shape of Water.
01:02But I think it's just a very special film.

01:05Exactly.
01:06The title is Nehla.
01:08It's a beautiful film about all the characters are women.
01:11And this is about a singer who lose her voice in the moment of the Civil War.
01:18And this film is incredible.
01:19My all-time favorite would be Notting Hill.
01:21I'm sure a lot of people have seen it, but it's an old movie, so they should see it again.
01:25It needs a resurgence.
01:26It's a feel-good movie.
01:27It is.
01:28We need that.
01:28And then the last question.
01:29Do you have a go-to movie snack?
01:31A snack you enjoy to eat while you're watching a film in a theater?
01:34No, because I don't like the noise.
01:37Sometimes I go to the cinema with my son and he's eating the popcorn.
01:42I say, stop!

01:44I just drink Coke.
01:45I eat a bit of popcorn, but mostly.
01:48Stay awake and watch that film, right?
01:50It's amazing.
01:50You know, I really like mixing salty and sweet.

01:54So I'm going to say I love a hot dog, but I also love salty popcorn with chocolate bits
