Meski demikian, ia menegaskan Amerika Serikat tetap siap kembali melancarkan operasi militer apabila diperlukan.

Transkrip
00:00Ultimately, like I said, any deal the president is willing to make, he's only going to make it if he
00:04believes it's a great deal.
00:06President Trump is laser-focused on a great deal in Iran, has the patience to see it through in historic
00:12fashion,
00:12to make sure they never have a nuclear weapon.
00:15At the same time, I'm out here on his behalf to ensure that our Pacific allies know exactly where America
00:21stands,
00:22and that we're prepared to defend our interests, stand with our allies, and project power halfway around the world.
00:27And you see that through our national defense strategy.
00:29Yes, we're focused on the homeland and our hemisphere, but our ability to project power into the Pacific is central
00:35to how we plan
00:36and to how we work with our allies and partners.
00:39Ultimately, like I said, any deal that the president is willing to make, he's only going to make it if
00:45he believes it's a great deal
00:47for our country and the security of the world.
00:49And only one president was willing to lay it out on the line and ensure after 47 years that Iran
00:57is not capable of having a nuclear weapon.
00:59So he's, you saw it in what he's, how he's been talking about it publicly.
01:02It's, those, those goalposts haven't shifted at all, which is the expectation of the American people and what we've stated
01:08to Iran.
01:09So in the middle of negotiations, the closer they come to that reality, both now and into the future,
01:15the closer we're going to get to that kind of a deal. And I also, having been in the room
01:19with him,
01:20I know he means it when he looks in the camera in the cabinet room and said,
01:23they can either do this now through a deal.
01:26And we think we're in a good place to make that deal, or they can deal with the War Department.
01:31And we are prepared. We're, we're postured even stronger today than we were on day one
01:36to address it that way if we have to, but he'd prefer not to.
01:40So Iran knows very, very clearly what our expectations are.
01:44And that's on the, the, the negotiating team to deliver.
01:47They're coming in our direction. The talks have been productive.
01:50I think they, they know where it needs to go.
01:53And I'm, I'm quite confident with this, with our president who, who's makes nothing but great deals
01:59that ultimately it'll be something he's proud to defend that, that, that ensures that Iran,
02:06which everyone knows should not have a nuclear weapon, never does.
02:29And I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm.
02:59I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm.
03:29I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm.
