Inspired by German egg salad, this creamy appetizer just might be the dip of the year! In this video, Nicole shows you how to make egg salad dip with chopped tomato, chopped pickles, and a seasoned layer of mayo underneath. Served with a sleeve of crackers, this southern-themed dip will quickly disappear from the picnic table.

00:00I'm going ahead and declaring it
00:01the picnic dip of the year.
00:03Recipe is inspired by German egg salad.
00:05First layer is just straight up mayo,
00:08about a quarter inch layer.
00:10Season the mayo layer with a little bit of salt and pepper.
00:12Then come the eggs, just chop them up.
00:14Okay, see we're building like a deconstructed egg salad.
00:17It's just layers of flavor.
00:19Next, some chopped tomato.
00:20My favorite part of this dip is the addition
00:23of the chopped pickle.
00:25Little mini dill pickles are extra crunchy.
00:27Finally, some fresh green onion
00:29and another crack of pepper.
00:31There's only one way to eat it.
00:32See those perfect bites?
00:35It's just such a good idea.
00:37It is just the right amount of mayo to everything
00:40in the perfect bite.
00:41It might've been from last year's greatest hits,
00:43but I'm bringing it back.
00:44Thank you, Valerie Rogers.
