01:50linebacker spot because they were so old and slow there last season yeah and now they've upgraded

02:02different i think that's been a huge upgrade during the offseason yeah if i had to narrow it down to
02:07one player i'm gonna go styles yeah even though i wasn't he wasn't a free agent he's a draft pick

02:40that have basically ever walked the earth those guys are basically playing in the same
02:44linebacking room right and you throw frankie louvu in there he's not the athlete those guys are but
02:50he's a he's a good player in his own right to kind of piggyback on that uh ben solak for

02:56ranked the top 10 um biggest position upgrades in the league right all right number one he ranked
03:03uh the arizona cardinals at rb because they drafted love they also brought in algier that's a
03:10big michael michael carter out yeah number two was the vegas raiders linebacker they brought in
03:15quay walker into kobe dean um so they brought in some some uh eagles number three washington
03:23commanders linebackers bringing in chanel and drafting sunny styles right of course bobby wagner
03:27out so he ranked the the commanders upgrading that linebacker the third best position upgrade of all
03:34the teams so that's pretty impressive i think it's hard not to go with sunny styles and you draft

05:38sure but again just secondary just addressing the defense as aggressively as they did i think that

05:47here's what he said dan quinn's defense allowed 9.3 yards per drop back last season that was the
05:53worst mark of any team in the nfl and the second worst mark of any defense in that scenario over

05:58past 10 years general manager adam peters made major upgrades in the front seven but the secondary
06:06should also be better meek robertson who should start in three cornerback sets quietly became an
06:11important player for the lions in 2024 it was telling that the defense finally collapsed after
06:17robertson got hurt two snaps into the divisional round loss to coincidentally the commanders peters
06:23also added veteran depth in akella witherspoon who has generally been solid when called upon over the
06:29past few seasons in los angeles nick cross signed on a two-year 13 million dollar deal should be able

06:34help near the line of scrimmage as a blitzer for new coordinator dorante jones yeah i didn't realize
06:40that the secondary was that historically bad i mean they were giving up play after play after play for
06:47most and they were also pretty bad at tackling and if you're not generating you know an efficient pass
06:52rush people can pick apart your secondary true see that's where oa could be the biggest addition

08:12believe was also a former first round pick um kind of under the radar in that sense maybe those guys
08:20finally found their stride or whatever took a couple years um he was 20th overall chase on in 2020 right
08:28so you know quality athletes there maybe overall they figured out overall their defense got younger and
08:37faster i think that there's going to be with styles in particular i think there's going to be some
08:42monday mornings where you know redskins or commanders fans will say man they whoever they
08:47were playing took advantage of a rookie there but i think more often than not you're going to come in
08:52on monday morning going man he made some big plays there's a new leader on the defense his name sonny
08:58styles thank the lord we were able to draft sonny styles i just that's just my gut on this kid

10:08at least add one more person and we keep focusing on digs and iuk for good reason

12:42huge numbers each week and he could be more of a role player you know maybe the rams would be

12:52this stage in his career yes 100 given the right season yeah he was productive last season with
12:59mostly a backup quarterback and with marcus at the time less carries his number one receiver not being
13:05there right so the pressure was on him and he gave you 72 catches and 720 suits seven yards and

13:11touchdowns if i told you right now antonio williams rookie season is going to be 72 catches
13:17and 727 yards and five touchdowns in the running for rookie of the year that's huge yeah you would
13:22say be in the run you would say i'd take that in a heartbeat right yeah so this is a

13:26it for your organization it's a really well done video yeah yeah he's got a social media guy he's got
