Possible future easter eggs to Nintendo's Metroid ('86) in '88 Sunsoft video game, Blaster Master. The title reversed was the name of a formidable duo that fought Mel Gibson in 1985 post apocalyptic action thriller Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

- Stage 1: "The Forest" has an underwater area with a creature called Moeba, it looks similar to the Metroid (a kind of jelly fish with fangs).
- Nintendo's Yoshio Sakamoto credited Ridley Scott's Alien ('79) as a big influence in the aesthetics of Metroid.
- Mel Gibson acted in The Year Of Living Dangerously (1982) with Alien's Sigourney Weaver.
- Scott considered Gibson for the lead in Gladiator (2000) which he turned down.
- Mini Boss 2 in Metroid is named Ridley.
- The Final Boss of stage 1 in Blaster Master is named Mother Brain, same spelling as the final enemy of Metroid.

00:00Alright, in this video I'll share some future or predictive Easter eggs to movies related to actor Mel Gibson.
00:09And you can see them in 1988 video game Blaster Master.
00:15This was known in Japan by the title Metafight, released for the Famicom and Nintendo Entertainment System.
00:23First clue is the title itself, reversed. Master Blaster was a major character in director George Miller's third Mad Max
00:35movie, Beyond Thunderdome, released in 1985.
00:41Gibson reprised his role in this alongside pop singer Tina Turner. Bruce Spence, the gyro captain, returns.
00:50Master Blaster is a composite character. Angelo Resedo plays the master, who's the brains of the duo.
00:59Paul Larson plays the blaster, a literal giant. He winds up fighting Max in the arena.
01:06So playing Blaster Master, in stage 1, the forest, you get to an underwater area.
01:13You run into an enemy that looks very similar to the Metroid.
01:18In this game it's called the Moeba. It's like a jellyfish with fangs.
01:23Yeah, Metroid is a science fiction action adventure game.
01:27One of the early titles from 1986.
01:30Space Bounty Hunter, Samus Aran.
01:32You have to fight your way through an alien planet.
01:35Nintendo game designer, Yoshio Sakamoto, credited Ridley Scott's 1979 science fiction horror film Alien as a huge influence.
01:46Mel Gibson shares some interesting history with Ridley Scott.
01:51He was in the 1982 romantic drama, The Year of Living Dangerously, alongside Sigourney Weaver, who plays Ripley in the
02:02Alien movies.
02:03Gibson was famously offered the lead in Ridley Scott's Gladiator in 2000, which he turned down after Russell Crowe later
02:13played this part, Maximus.
02:15Some of the obvious references, the second mini-boss on the planet Zebus is named Ridley.
02:21He's like a sort of alien dragon.
02:25Same spelling as the director.
02:26Another nod to Metroid and Blaster Master, the boss enemy of the first stage is named Mother Brain.
02:36Also the name of the final enemy in the Torian stage of Metroid.
02:43To Metroid.
02:43One or two.
