00:00Welcome to the finale of our race to claim the most train stations in Taiwan.
00:05It's the morning of the final day, and things are, well, pretty tense right now.
00:09Ben and Adam currently leave the station count with 125 to R88,
00:13but the shape of the board is much more favorable to Mike and me.
00:16There are a ton of high-value challenges buried in our heavily fortified territory,
00:21and just after that is a long stretch of stations that Ben and Adam hold very weekly.
00:25So our plan is to head over here, earn a bunch of chips,
00:28then shoot down the East Coast, flipping all their stations, and hopefully securing victory.
00:32But we want to do all this at the last possible moment,
00:35so Ben and Adam don't have the chance to undo or prevent our work.
00:38Which brings us to the current situation, a stalemate.
00:41Ben and Adam are waiting by a challenge, and Mike and I are waiting by a steal.
00:45Mike and I really want to wait until after Ben and Adam do their challenge to complete our steal,
00:49because then they'll have more chips for us to take.
00:51But Ben and Adam are determined to wait us out because, of course, they don't want their chips stolen.
00:56They believe wasting time is better for them because they're in the lead.
01:00Mike and I think wasting time, at least for a while, is fine for us,
01:03because it sets up the timing for our final move and might make Ben and Adam give in to our
01:07mind games.
01:08Who will be right? Let's find out.
01:11But I think they'll break.
01:12They know I will wait here for hours. Actually, not really.
01:17No, because we need to win.
01:18But we want them to think that. Should we call them?
01:20Sure.
01:21Sam is calling us.
01:24Okay.
01:24Family chat.
01:25Hello.
01:26Oh, hey.
01:27Hey, warning.
01:28Hey, guys.
01:28You know that we are winning right now, right?
01:31We are winning.
01:31So, if we both continue to wait here...
01:34We'll wait here till the end of the day, guys. No problem for us.
01:37Yeah, look, we won't, but we believe that there's a certain timing that is in our advantage.
01:43Okay.
01:43So, we're very happy to wait here for hours.
01:46For hours?
01:48Hours.
01:48Hours.
01:49Are you seriously not going to do the challenge?
01:52No.
01:53Okay.
01:53Okay.
01:54We're going to investigate.
01:55We're going to investigate some maps.
01:56We're going to look into this, but we really think that you're wrong.
01:58We think you're wrong.
01:58You can think whatever you want.
02:00You play your game.
02:00We'll play ours.
02:01Okay, bye.
02:02All right, bye.
02:03Are they f***ing with us?
02:06Are they f***ing with us?
02:07If they were happy to wait, then why would they be trying to get us to go?
02:11I told you, they'll think I'm crazy.
02:14Yeah.
02:15We do need to move relatively soon.
02:16Yeah.
02:16I don't know if we want to miss the train in 45 minutes, but we don't need to let them
02:20know that.
02:20No, no, no.
02:21Of course not.
02:21All right.
02:22I think we call them next in like 10 minutes.
02:24Yeah, give them time to assess.
02:26Give them time to assess and voluntarily choose to do it.
02:29They're messing with my head at them.
02:30Look, obviously what they want is go do these challenges and then go steal this stuff.
02:37Yeah.
02:38Am I crazy?
02:39Like, I think they're trying to f*** with us because they know that it is not worth it for them
02:44to do this until we do this.
02:46Let's try to do the map.
02:47Let's try to really work this out.
02:50Adam, let's go sit down.
02:51You're getting a lot of looks.
02:53Okay, so maybe it's worth spending this time to figure out what we do next.
02:57I think the best opportunities we have are probably this cluster over here.
03:02Yeah, those two are close, but one requires a bus.
03:05One requires a bus, one requires a connecting train, but they're a good bit of chips.
03:11You know, my fear for later is that they pop up to Taipei and do the 50% steal.
03:17Yeah.
03:18Hopefully we could like put enough down to allow ourselves to like, you know, get to this variable
03:24in Hualien or something by the time they do that steal.
03:27Yeah.
03:27So my question is, do we have enough chips to get to where we want to be with only one
03:33of those?
03:34And then would that get us to Hualien to do another challenge to keep going further?
03:37I'll double check, but I'm almost certain we need math, math, math, 114, 124.
03:43So, but we need more of a, we need more of a flip than that to win.
03:49So we need to advance past Hualien.
03:51Yeah.
03:51But does that also take into consideration if they flip any of ours?
03:55That's assuming they flip none.
03:57Yeah.
03:57Which is unlikely, of course.
03:59Right.
03:59They could flip 12.
04:01Yeah.
04:01So we need budget.
04:0312, 12 more of their cheapest would still cost us 24 more chips, but it's likely we're
04:09getting to a part that's bolstered and requires more.
04:11Yeah.
04:12I would really like the chips from the steel, but I also would really like to get on that train.
04:15Yeah.
04:16Okay.
04:17Should we call them back?
04:19Yeah.
04:21Um, wait a minute.
04:22They're calling us.
04:23Okay.
04:24What do you want?
04:25Do something.
04:25You do something.
04:26No.
04:27Okay.
04:28Great.
04:29Okay.
04:29Can you show us the pagodas?
04:30I've been looking.
04:31I don't want to see the pagodas.
04:32Yeah.
04:32Yeah.
04:32We'll show you the pagodas.
04:34They're cool.
04:34They are cool.
04:35Oh, wow.
04:36Oh, you should go in them.
04:37That's super tall.
04:38No, no.
04:40Okay.
04:40What if just to break the stalemate, we like flip a coin or something to just do this?
04:46No.
04:47No.
04:48Look, I don't work here, but it feels like a pretty anticlimactic ending, don't you?
04:53I think you're trying to mess with our heads, Mike.
04:56For what it's worth, we obviously know what the strat is for you guys at the end of today.
05:03Like, it's not like we don't know what it is.
05:05I think you all need to game out when you need to do what to counter our strategy.
05:12Do you want to look like fools and you want to play?
05:15Okay, goodbye.
05:18I think they buy it, at least a little bit.
05:20Adam did.
05:20It's freaking me out that they seem to think that they have gamed this out more.
05:25They seem so confident.
05:26Okay.
05:27Let's actually game this out.
05:28I'm, I'm, yeah.
05:30I mean, the question is like, from where they are,
05:32how quickly did they get to both of those challenges and then shoot down the east?
05:40I don't see why rushing advantages us.
05:44Their advantage is that they have access to those challenges.
05:47But like, us moving faster does not get us access to those challenges.
05:52Like, ultimately, we want the board to change as little
05:55from the way that it is right now by the end of the day.
05:58And I'm not necessarily convinced that they have time to do this steal,
06:03go up, do this steal, do this, do this.
06:06And I guess they can do that and make it all the way down.
06:10Again, I guess I'm like, how quickly could they get to like, tight tone?
06:19I don't know what the they're talking about.
06:22All right, we got 10 minutes until the train.
06:24I think we're out of time.
06:25Yeah, we're losing the stalemate, but hopefully we win the challenge.
06:28I hate that we're giving this to them.
06:30I know.
06:31But I think we got to go.
06:32Okay, we're locking in our guess of 150 feet.
06:35Yeah.
06:36What is the answer?
06:37Ready to check it?
06:40It's exactly 150.
06:42Nice.
06:43Let's go.
06:46Okay, let's get to the station.
06:47Oh, that's such a bittersweet win.
06:50It's a bittersweet win, but at least we were bang frickin' on.
06:54Like, yeah, we nailed it, but we lost the stalemate.
06:58Oh, they did it.
06:59Ha!
07:02Suckers.
07:03Well, they succeeded.
07:04Well, that sucks, but I knew they were messing with us.
07:08All right, let's hurry up and do this challenge.
07:10I bet that they were talking about how they were going to make me freak out specifically,
07:13and they did do it.
07:15Yeah, but we stayed strong.
07:17I need to generate a new challenge.
07:19Okay.
07:20Oh, no.
07:20So it's a 50-chipper.
07:23Oh, it's near us.
07:27It's pretty far south.
07:28It's near them.
07:29All right.
07:30Ignore it.
07:31Forget it.
07:31Look, let's get these chips as fast as we can.
07:33Let's get these chips, and then...
07:34But that is exactly the type of thing we wanted to see.
07:36That's awesome.
07:37At least maybe that'll coax them away from the steel.
07:39Yeah.
07:40Or some of our stations.
07:41All right, let's get on this frickin' train.
07:56Okay, so I think we've decided we're not going to put anything more down on this line.
08:01Right.
08:02We think it's more valuable for us to flip their stations with two coins than trying to defend
08:09this with three or four.
08:10Even though they're probably going to take it, and therefore they'll probably flip it.
08:13But it's better value of our chips.
08:15Yeah.
08:15On the other side.
08:16Mm-hmm.
08:28Adam, would you like to be the dragon or the titan?
08:31Can we just reread this?
08:36Test your luck at the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas.
08:39The Dragon and Tiger Pagodas are one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kaohsiung.
08:44It's said that it's bad luck to enter through the tiger's mouth and good luck to enter through
08:47the dragon.
08:48Team members must split up and make their way to the top of both pagodas, where they will
08:52play a game of rock-paper-scissors.
08:54The dragon player must win the game without any prior collusion.
08:57If the dragon player does not win, you must switch pagodas and wait 30 minutes to try again.
09:02So, just to establish, it is supposedly good luck to enter through the dragon.
09:08It is bad luck to enter through the tiger.
09:10Yes.
09:10So, we need to prove that this is accurate.
09:13I'm happy to be the tiger.
09:15I'll do it.
09:15Okay.
09:15I'll call on this sword.
09:17Which means that I must lose this game of rock-paper-scissors to you.
09:21And we cannot discuss in any way what our strategy is.
09:24No.
09:24And if we don't successfully get this, we do have to wait a half an hour.
09:32Hopefully, we get it on the first two.
09:33Get it.
09:34Okay.
09:34I believe in us, Ben.
09:35I am prepared to fail.
09:37Let's go.
09:38Let's go.
09:39Entering through the tiger's mouth.
09:45Look at it in here.
09:47This is awesome.
09:49This is so sick.
09:54Okay.
09:55My thought is the most classic move in rock-paper-scissors is to go rock if you want to win.
10:03Right?
10:04That's the obvious thing to do.
10:06And I'm going to hope that Ben considers this as well.
10:09This is so sick, dude.
10:12This is so sick.
10:15Oh, stairs.
10:16Oh, boy.
10:19Okay.
10:20Oh, poor Ben.
10:23He's not going to like those.
10:25Okay.
10:27Let's go up this pagoda.
10:30Whoa.
10:32We made it.
10:33Hey, buddy.
10:35Hi.
10:36All right.
10:37So, back's turned.
10:39Here we go.
10:41All right.
10:43I'm going to rock.
10:45Okay.
10:52I'm going to rock.
10:52My strategy is going to be, I feel like the sort of default, the most natural thing to throw
10:57in rock, paper, scissors, scissors, it feels like the most powerful one.
11:02And so, I feel like I'm going to do the most loser-y one, which is obviously paper.
11:09All right.
11:10Wait it out.
11:14Shoot.
11:15Shoot.
11:15Shoot.
11:16That's not great.
11:20Well, shoot.
11:21We simply must wait half an hour.
11:25Yeah, that's sick.
11:27Okay.
11:27That's tough.
11:28I really want to discuss with you, but we can't.
11:31For a while, I was happy to stay here.
11:33Now, I'd quite like to leave.
11:35Yes.
11:35Well, they are on the move again, but it's because they have to be.
11:38Look, they've got those two really valuable challenges up there.
11:42That, you know, they do.
11:43They're really valuable.
11:45Let's see if I can find us breakfast.
11:47Okay.
11:47We're working through scenarios and we're trying to figure out what makes sense to go to next.
11:51It's a combination of offense and defense.
11:54Because, like, our biggest opportunity is a 90 chip challenge in the Northeast.
11:5990 chips is a huge amount.
12:01Big boost.
12:02And hopefully, we could do it before the last stream that we need to go down the East Coast.
12:08Right.
12:09But on the other hand, if we do that, they can get to Taipei really quickly.
12:12And there's a steal in Taipei, right, that could potentially take enough budget from us
12:17that we can no longer do the 50, 50, the 60.
12:20Actually, I think it's a 68 point swing.
12:22I don't know exactly how the math would shake out, but it'd be really tight.
12:26What if we did the steal in Taipei?
12:28If we do the steal now, you know, after they complete this challenge,
12:32assuming they keep a balance of 80, we get up to 83,
12:37which is more than we need to do the 66 point swing in the East.
12:40Okay, so we still get enough chips to accomplish what we want.
12:43We prevent them from taking that steal.
12:47On the other hand, we have a smaller number of chips in order to flip more.
12:53Yeah.
12:54But is the defense element of it enough to make up for that
12:58by preventing them from flipping more stations because they have fewer chips?
13:03I don't know.
13:04Yeah.
13:05I mean, that's the unknown of this game.
13:07Like, the advantage that they have is they don't really have to move far to flip stations.
13:14In fact, we have some weak planes just east of Taipei that we should maybe consider boosting on the way.
13:19But on the other hand, we need our budget.
13:21It's a really tough call.
13:22Either way, it could end it for us.
13:24I think we should go for the steal.
13:27It's tempting.
13:28It's tempting.
13:29But let me do some more research, do some more math.
13:34Let me see if they've moved.
13:36Yeah, whatever it is, they're not done with it yet.
13:38Ben, welcome to breakfast time.
13:40Welcome to the snack zone.
13:49Today on the snack zone, we're going to be trying these egg pancake roll things.
13:56This dude made these right in front of me.
13:58These were the village-style pancakes.
14:00They've got something in them that I couldn't totally tell what it was.
14:12Yeah, they're full of village.
14:22Ben, it's time to go again.
14:24We were not able to discuss anything.
14:26All that we know is that now I will go up the tiger, you will go up the dragon,
14:31and you need to win this time.
14:33I mean, it just has to be said again that these things are awesome.
14:36They're so cool.
14:37I hope it's coming across on camera.
14:40Good luck.
14:41Well, bad luck to me.
14:43No, right.
14:44Good luck to you.
14:44Bad luck.
14:45Good luck.
14:45Here we go.
14:49I love these things.
14:52To me, it could not be more obvious what to do.
14:56I hope Ben feels the same way.
14:58Okay, so I think my strategy is just going to be that since like the dragon player,
15:03just like the primary player, threw rock last time,
15:06it would make the most sense for them to just throw the same thing again, right?
15:12Like the logic is that we're setting a pattern where the dragon player just throws rock.
15:19There he is.
15:21All right.
15:24Back's turned.
15:26Yep.
15:27Come on.
15:28Ready?
15:30Ready.
15:37Last time, I threw rock, he threw paper, and I lost.
15:41This time, we should just do the exact same thing.
15:44And this time, he'll win, which is what we need.
15:47I struggle to see any argument that we should do anything other than that.
15:55Damn it.
15:57Okay.
16:01Okay.
16:02Okay.
16:03Okay.
16:03Evidently what Adam thought was, the player should throw the same.
16:08Instead of the...
16:10Yeah.
16:12I don't understand it.
16:14How could he possibly think that he should throw rock?
16:27Oh, we're going to get it.
16:28We can't talk about it.
16:30We literally can't talk about it at all.
16:32So, Adam, it looks like they are geared back to Type A.
16:37It looks like they're basically...
16:38Did they take the high speed back?
16:39I think they must have, because it looks like they didn't reinforce any of their squishy, squishy
16:44part.
16:45Which I think could be really good news for us.
16:49I mean, maybe they are going to reinforce it later.
16:52I mean, my worry is, I think that we might be about to have another situation where...
16:57They could go for a steal.
16:58They go for a steal.
16:59I think they're going to go for the Type A steal.
17:00Yeah.
17:01I think that that is not out of the question.
17:03They can't start it until 10, but...
17:05Yeah.
17:06What time is it now?
17:07It's like 9.12.
17:10So, you know.
17:11We really...
17:12It would have been great if we had gotten this on the first try.
17:26Okay, Type A.
17:28Type A.
17:29I don't know if the steal is the right play.
17:31Yeah, well, so we were doing some math on the train.
17:34Yes, we do.
17:35And basically, if we do the steal, we think they'll only have to flip 15 stations for the rest of
17:41the day
17:42for them to win, which we think is very possible.
17:44And, you know, that's assuming we succeed with the steal.
17:47Right.
17:48So we think that the steal in Type A is not the move.
17:51The problem is that it leaves it vulnerable to them.
17:54I think it's just too guaranteed a path to consider for them.
17:57So we think we need to go to probably the 90 chip challenge.
18:01Yeah.
18:01And pass it as quickly as possible.
18:03Yes.
18:04And succeed.
18:05They are also, we checked.
18:07They haven't moved from their challenge yet.
18:08No, they seem to be struggling with their challenge, which is great for us,
18:11because time is very valuable.
18:12Eating up their time.
18:16Well, it all fell on me.
18:19Okay.
18:20Back we go.
18:21This time for sure.
18:24Yep.
18:25Okay.
18:25So it is reversed again.
18:27Yeah.
18:27I'm in the Type A, you're in the Dragon.
18:29I'm in the Dragon.
18:30I need to win.
18:35Surely this time, it's obvious.
18:39Both times, the person in the Dragon has thrown rock.
18:44Also, both times, I've thrown rock.
18:47So surely, surely you would predict that I am going to do rock.
18:53And that Ben needs to do scissors.
18:57Right?
19:01All right.
19:02Okay, Ben.
19:04Back's turned.
19:07Okay, come on.
19:09Ready?
19:18The only two consistent patterns thus far are that the Dragon has always thrown rock,
19:24and Adam has always thrown rock.
19:25So it would be insanity if he did not throw a rock.
19:28Therefore, I think I must throw scissors.
19:33We got it.
19:34We got it.
19:39All right.
19:40Well, that was annoying, but we got it.
19:43He's getting free.
19:45Okay.
19:46All right.
19:46Generate the new challenge.
19:48Get out of here, finally.
19:49What is it?
19:50Ben, it is a 100 chip challenge.
19:53All right, they just succeeded.
19:55That took them an hour, over an hour.
19:57Your challenge is worth 100 chips.
19:59It's near that other really valuable challenge, but like pretty, it's like, see right there?
20:04Oh yeah, the bus one?
20:06Yeah.
20:07Well, I wonder if they go for that.
20:08That doesn't make any sense for us.
20:10No, it's way too far.
20:11Maybe they go for it?
20:13Oh, it's by the same, it's on the same mountain line as the other one.
20:18That might make that more attractive.
20:20Now, it would take us about four hours to get there.
20:23My worry is that we would earn so much, but we would also be so vulnerable.
20:31We wouldn't get to that station until 2.30, dude.
20:34Yeah, that is pretty late, and that's just getting there.
20:37I don't know what we should do now.
20:38No, it's a little unclear.
20:40I mean, it really depends on what they do.
20:42But I don't hate the idea of just getting on that high-speed line.
20:45We know we're getting chips on the board.
20:47We know we're flipping high-speed stations.
20:50Look, we know we want to go to this station.
20:52Definitely, no matter what.
20:52Let's get to this one.
20:54Eight hours left in the game, Ben.
20:57Not a lot of time.
20:59We're going into the low frequency area that led to so many issues for them.
21:02And we are committed.
21:03We're putting a lot of hopes on that.
21:05So, I think I feel good.
21:07My face doesn't show I feel good, but I feel good.
21:09I feel nervous.
21:10I feel nervous as hell.
21:12It's kind of come down to such a fine margin.
21:16They have a lot more flexibility than us,
21:17so I honestly think that which one of us wins is more down to them than us at this point.
21:23And it's not necessarily that there's an obvious move now.
21:27Right.
21:27But I think it'll turn out that which choice they make with their day will end up deciding it.
21:33Yeah.
21:33I agree.
21:35Is Zoying this way?
21:36Or is it, I felt like we came from that way?
21:38Well, isn't the normal train is here, right?
21:41I think so.
21:42Sorry, give me a sec.
21:43It's really annoying.
21:44We're only like a half hour walk away.
21:46There's just, there's no efficient way there that I am seeing right now.
21:50When we get on the train, it's just like a minute, right?
21:52We missed the train.
21:53There was a train three minutes ago.
21:54Oh, s**t.
21:55How is that the fa-
21:56How is there no faster way to get to the f**king high-speed train?
21:59I think that we made a mistake.
22:01We should have gone to the metro.
22:02Where is the metro?
22:03Well, it's too far away now.
22:05We can get on a high-speed train at 10.35, 10.24 maybe.
22:11Yeah, it's not the most efficient.
22:13It's just so frustrating.
22:14There's one at 10 that we could have made if we had gotten on the f**king train three minutes earlier.
22:19I mean, we lose half an hour, but.
22:21It's just, it's a valuable half hour.
22:23Yeah, I know.
22:25I'm just so mad that we are, this is such valuable time.
22:30Yeah, I know.
22:31I mean, you imagine the world where we got this on the first try.
22:34We could already be flipping their low-speed stations.
22:36Yeah, yeah.
22:37That's how it goes at the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas.
22:52I mean, the thing is, if they are going to go for the steel, they gotta go for it right
22:56now.
22:56Can we look at where they are?
22:57I mean, they might not even try to go for this steel.
22:59No, they might not.
23:01Just to confirm, before we get on this train, we have a couple of vulnerable stations just out of Taipei
23:07here.
23:07Yes.
23:09Should we boost those?
23:10No, because if we boost them and they don't come, it's wasted.
23:13Yeah.
23:14I think we saved them for flipping stations.
23:18Yeah, and I think we need that budget to do the flips.
23:23We made it off the train.
23:25All right.
23:26Here we go.
23:27We lose a lot of flexibility after this point.
23:30I know, which is going to give them a big advantage.
23:33But I think we've painted ourselves into this corner with our strategy early on in the game.
23:38Yeah.
23:38We've got to stick with it.
23:39We've got to stick with it.
23:40It just makes me uncomfortable because they have so much more flexibility than us.
23:43Yeah, but then it's up to them to decide, which could lose them the game.
23:47Yes.
23:47Hopefully they decide wrong what to do next.
23:50I don't know what is right, but whatever they decide, I hope it's wrong.
23:54They're going to have analysis paralysis.
23:56They have too many choices.
23:57Yeah.
24:08I mean, where is that challenge marker?
24:13Because they're going this way.
24:14I think they're past it.
24:15Are they past it?
24:16So in that case, I think we can pretty safely go get this 50.
24:22Well, actually, here's what I'll say then.
24:24I think that now we go to the tight pace to get it.
24:27We could.
24:27You know what that would do is that would be that once they do one of these
24:30challenges, we can steal it out from under them, then they wouldn't have enough to do
24:33what they need.
24:33Yeah.
24:34They would need 140 chips to get to tight tuck.
24:37They can get that with these challenges.
24:40So if they got all the way down there and we flipped this, if they flipped enough,
24:44even if we flipped these, they win.
24:46But if we go for the steal and we lock their total in half.
24:51Yeah.
24:51Then it becomes harder.
24:53Cut them off at the knees.
24:54Right now, my instinct is that the strategy that we should do is as follows.
24:59And I'm not positive this is right.
25:00Get on the high speed now.
25:02Ride it up.
25:03Flip these stations going to Taipei.
25:06We get to Taipei, I think, around like two or something.
25:11We wait at the steal.
25:12We try to steal their stuff as they're on their way down.
25:17And then by stealing a lot of their chips, we then can steal their stuff east of Taipei,
25:23and that's enough to win it for us.
25:24I like that.
25:25The problem is it's risky, right?
25:28It's super risky.
25:30I think if we fail the steal, we might lose.
25:32I mean, the other option would be we go get this 50.
25:36Oh, sorry.
25:37I'm getting so stressed out.
25:38We get to Sinshu by about noon.
25:40It's going to take about three hours from the 50 up to North Sinshu.
25:46That is pretty slow.
25:48It's, it's, I think it's too slow.
25:51So then we have no choice but to go to Taipei and go for the steal.
25:56I kind of think we might have to.
26:02I think, I mean, it just depends on how fast we can do it.
26:06But I think if we succeed at the steal that that math works out,
26:10it's just kind of hard to know, man.
26:12Okay, straight to Taipei then, and go for the steal.
26:28Okay, Mike, I've been cooking.
26:30You've been cooking?
26:31I've been cooking.
26:32I think there could be a world in which we want to go for the variable challenge
26:37near Hualien instead.
26:39That's further south and we don't have enough chips to get there.
26:43We would need to go negative by a couple of stations.
26:46Oh, go negative.
26:47Yeah, we would need to purposefully go negative,
26:50which gives them basically whatever the margin is we pay to them.
26:53Right.
26:53That is big brain thinking.
26:56But I don't think it would be that many.
26:57Let me double check my work.
26:59So we could get to the station 130.
27:01If we want to get roughly to Yuli Station, which is the southern tip of their week claim,
27:10if we want to get there by 5.30 p.m., yeah, we leave on a 328 train.
27:16And that just means that, and we can actually, we'll go past Yuli.
27:20Well, yeah.
27:21So we'll have the ability, if we have the budget,
27:22to claim a couple more stations past Yuli.
27:25Right.
27:25I think what this does is it reduces the time for them to do something while doing an effective steal.
27:32Right, right.
27:33Because they would need to do, they would need to wait around with the steal.
27:37Right.
27:37Which then means they're converting fewer stations.
27:40Which is, they have less time to convert stations.
27:42Or they're converting stations, but then they don't have enough chips.
27:44Or they, yeah, they have less time to earn chips.
27:46Look, I like, okay, they won't, that is so big brain that they won't think of it
27:52until they see us literally getting there.
27:54They won't have prepared for this in their calculations of how many stations they need to take,
27:59how many coins they need to have.
28:01Hopefully.
28:01That is a big swing on the last day, but that might be what we need.
28:06And it's well within the rules for us to do that.
28:08It's well within the rules, yeah.
28:10I mean, they were just, they were probably deciding whether to do this to come to Taipei
28:14two days ago, you know, or yesterday morning, I guess.
28:17I say we go for this.
28:19I like it.
28:19Okay, so we go to the very bowl on the beach, near Hualien.
28:23Yes.
28:44Oh, Ben.
28:45I do not know what is going on.
28:46I'm really stressed out.
28:47It's all going to come down to timing, I think.
28:50Yeah.
28:50It's going to depend on, like, how quickly do they do these challenges?
28:53Do they succeed at these challenges?
28:56Like, when do they succeed at these challenges?
28:58I don't know.
28:59When will we be able to complete the steal?
29:01I just don't know.
29:02But I do think that probably our most reliable path to victory is go to Taipei and do this.
29:08It's crazy that that steal has sat there almost all game.
29:11We've been so scared of it, and now we're going to be the ones to go do it.
29:14Off to Taipei, then.
29:16Hi.
29:21They're cleaning.
29:22But then we are about to clean.
29:25Yeah.
29:26Up.
29:28Yeah.
29:29Sam and Mike.
29:30I don't know what they care.
29:31Here we go.
29:34Benjamin, we're off.
29:35We're going to level with you.
29:37We really, really don't know what's going to happen.
29:42I don't know.
29:43The math is weird and complicated.
29:45I honestly think a lot of our ability to succeed here is going to depend on how quickly they end
29:50up
29:50doing these challenges that they're about to do.
29:53So we'll just have to see.
29:55We'll see.
30:08Here's our connection point.
30:10Theoretically, from this station, you can go to one or two challenges or continue on to the challenge in Valia.
30:17So they expect us to be here.
30:19Yes.
30:19They won't expect us to keep going soon.
30:24Look, if we go on this train towards Valia, that's all of our flexibility gone.
30:28Yeah.
30:29The one flexibility that we have is we get to call our shock, which is useful.
30:34That is valuable because it gives us more time to see what they're doing.
30:38And calculate what they could get at the end.
30:43How many stations they've flipped.
30:45Yeah.
30:45It's pushing our final move to the very end, which I think is the strength.
30:49It's actually beneficial.
30:50Yeah.
30:50If I may, what a cute little station.
30:53Great little locomotives.
30:55But look at this garden.
30:56They've got cactuses here.
30:58Wonderful outdoor space.
31:00We're not out there because it's raining.
31:01And then nice mountain vibes.
31:04That one's been great.
31:06It's been really fun to see a whole island like this.
31:09All right, Mike, here it is.
31:10Yeah.
31:11We're locking in.
31:12We're getting on.
31:13No, we're locked in.
31:14We got no options as soon as we get on this.
31:17We are forcing them.
31:19Yeah.
31:20This is our only option.
31:21I think this is our best option.
31:23Absolutely.
31:23But it makes it our only option at this point.
31:26Yeah.
31:27But if it's our best, we're locked in.
31:29All right.
31:32All right, we're committed now.
31:34We're committed.
31:35This is it.
31:36Let's hope this is right.
31:38At the very least, maybe this will confuse them.
31:41Okay, so some interesting movement, Ben.
31:44It looks like they may have skipped those two really valuable challenges up there.
31:49They might be going for that steal.
31:52We did not expect them to do that, man.
31:54I didn't expect them to do that either.
31:57Yeah, I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out their exact planned itinerary.
32:02I mean, they do have six and a half hours left in the day.
32:05It's a really good chunk of time.
32:06They do.
32:07But they don't have almost any chips.
32:09I know.
32:10They need to earn.
32:11They need to earn.
32:13And they need to earn fast.
32:15They need to earn fast.
32:43Cool.
32:45It's nice.
32:47So they're still going.
32:49They're still going.
32:50They're still going.
32:51And they went past the steal.
32:52Yeah, they've skipped the, like, two valuable challenges.
32:56They've even skipped the steal.
32:57It looks like they're just gunning it straight down.
33:00But, I mean, they're almost out of chips.
33:02I mean, I guess that they're a plan.
33:04Wait, but can they even afford to get far enough south to do that next challenge?
33:12I'm sure, wait.
33:14Wait.
33:15Are they going to run out?
33:17Wait, what is happening?
33:19I mean, do you think that they're going to go bust to try to get to this?
33:24They either have to go bust to get to that, or they have to go down and then back up.
33:29And I don't know why they would do that.
33:30They had all of this earning opportunity up here.
33:33I don't understand why they would just go past.
33:35Their plan must be that they're going to go bust to get to this challenge.
33:39Hope they earn a ton and then continue to flip, I guess.
33:44I think that has got to be their plan.
33:47But I just, I think that that is kind of insane.
33:50I mean, I guess we hold these very narrowly.
33:52So the bust is, I guess it's not that punishing of a bust, which is interesting, I guess.
33:58It's sort of barely.
33:59And it's true that it does mean that we can't steal.
34:02We can't steal zero.
34:04But it seems, what they're doing seems really risky to me.
34:07I mean, I guess they must be banking and doing it to get a real crazy call your shot.
34:13Yeah.
34:14But if they don't pull that off, I mean, the game is going to end, I think.
34:18I think if they don't pull that off.
34:21Crazy Strat.
34:22Crazy Strat.
34:23It's a crazy Strat.
34:24I kind of appreciate them getting a little weird with it.
34:50Now I'm like, we just, uh, we just used our last chips.
34:55That's it.
34:56We're now going into the, into the red.
34:58And this also pays them.
35:00It also pays them and, um, we don't get any stations.
35:05Yeah.
35:05We're not collecting, we're not flipping anything from here.
35:08Yep.
35:08We're going to go to the variable challenge.
35:11Absolutely knock it out of the park.
35:12And then do what we can for the rest of the afternoon on the train.
35:16Oh, God.
35:39There you go.
35:55All right then, welcome to Nangay.
35:58We have made it to Taipei.
36:01So it seems like they are really betting everything on this call your shot challenge.
36:06They've gone into the negative.
36:10It seems crazy to me, but it might be their only move or something.
36:16I tell you what, if they fail at this challenge, I think that's game over.
36:22Yeah, I agree.
36:23And they would need to win big at this.
36:27No, because if they fail at this, then they are broke and in our territory.
36:33Yeah.
36:33Or even if they succeed, if we steal, then I think they're also done so.
36:38Oh, that is where the challenge marker is.
36:41Yeah.
36:43That makes sense, doesn't it?
36:45Taipei 101.
36:55Maybe we want to go ahead and set it up here where we have more of an angle.
37:00Yeah.
37:00That's cool.
37:01That's fun.
37:02All right.
37:03Hello.
37:04So they are very nearly at their challenge and they're going to have to go big or go home.
37:10I believe that this building, Taipei 101, may be the weapon we use to strike them down if
37:17they do indeed manage to earn a lot of chips at this next challenge.
37:21We're going to wait to actually do it.
37:23Until, of course, after they try the challenge.
37:25Until they try the challenge, but we can learn what it is.
37:28Yeah.
37:28Why don't you go?
37:29Why don't you go for it?
37:32Observe the observers.
37:38Observe the observers.
37:39One team member must go to Taipei 101's observation deck or 89th floor indoor observatory.
37:45The other team member may go anywhere outside the building.
37:47Without any prior collusion, the team member on the observation deck must spot and photograph
37:52their teammate on the ground.
37:53From the time that they begin their search, they have five minutes.
37:56If they do not photograph their teammate in five minutes, this challenge has failed.
38:00The player on the ground may send one photo of themselves pointed straight down, but cannot
38:04provide any other clues.
38:06Here's what I have to say.
38:08You are better at spotting things.
38:10You're always spotting a monkey or a bird.
38:13That's true.
38:13And you're kind of like a monkey.
38:14I'm a lot like a monkey.
38:15I would be happy to go up and attempt to spot you.
38:19Let's get into position, and if we hear that they've completed that challenge, we'll go
38:23for it.
38:25Okay.
38:27Let's go to the top of Taipei 101.
38:30Okay.
38:31So, I think the way to do this is to look at pictures from the observatory and see what
38:37the field of view is.
38:39Okay.
38:39So, as I'm looking, I'm noticing that there's a big, weird, like, metal thing that
38:48seems to be clearly in view from the top.
38:51I think that that pattern would come across.
38:54I'm not sure how well my photo would convey it, but I think it's worth at least trying to
39:00check it out.
39:03I think it's worth it.
39:07I think it's worth it.
39:08It's worth it.
39:08Oh.
39:28No, we're going to the bay boat.
39:31Beepu. Beepu. Beepu. Beepu. It's toasty.
39:38Welcome to Beepu Station. Oh, it's cute. I think as they say, Mike, we kind of, we out here.
39:45Okay. Beach. As a wise man once said, let's go to the beach.
39:51Beach, beach, beach, beach. Let's go get away. That's the sun.
39:54All right. It's going to be about a 30-minute walk.
39:56So they've just gotten to Taipei 101, the building which has the steel challenge.
40:01You think they're there for sightseeing?
40:03I have a feeling they're not there for sightseeing.
40:06Damn. Business trip?
40:07So they're trying to force us to bet, have to bet really big on this variable challenge.
40:13Yeah.
40:13Which then they hope will force us to miss it and that'll be it.
40:18Well, yeah, that's a tricky call because, like, I think it'd be pretty easy to get the chips we need,
40:25assuming they don't succeed on the steel.
40:27Yes.
40:27Meanwhile, I think getting the chips we need steel-proof would be really hard.
40:33I guess we can see what the challenge is and, you know, decide which way based on that.
40:37It's basically, who do we bet on? Ourselves?
40:40Or them.
40:41Or them.
40:41And, of course, we don't know what challenge they're doing.
40:43No.
40:44It makes it trickier.
40:45The model there. Wait a second.
40:47Thank you. Welcome.
40:48Hey.
40:49Okay. This is the super-fast elevator.
40:53Seatingly, they had an award.
40:57Hello. Thank you.
41:00Bye.
41:01Please look at the two sides, because it's a high speed speed.
41:06Please look at the screens on the low side, indicating 1A, 1A, 2A.
41:13Wow.
41:13We made it.
41:24That window was so fast.
41:26It pumped my ears.
41:28Okay, so Sam and Mike are arriving at the challenge.
41:30Marco, right about now.
41:33And I guess we'll just see.
41:34But look, if they do manage to do this, we are here.
41:37We are in position.
41:38We are ready to steal those chips.
41:42This steal does seem really difficult.
41:46It's like a foggy day, and it turns out you can see a whole lot from here.
41:51I'm trying not to look, because I accidentally see Adam out of the corner of my eye.
41:55But yeah, this one seems like it's going to be really tricky.
41:58So fingers crossed that they just absolutely whiff this.
42:05That would be a pretty definitive ending here.
42:09Sam and Mike, I wish you nothing but the worse.
42:17I think these are military things.
42:20Ooh.
42:21Beach.
42:22Beach, beach, beach.
42:24Man, the water is blue.
42:26Oh, gorgeous.
42:28All right.
42:29This is our last shot.
42:32Discover your zodiacs.
42:39Discover your zodiacs.
42:40Using the pebbles on the beach, one team member will be making depictions of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals for
42:45their teammate to guess.
42:46Before creating any depictions, both team members must decide how many of the 12 they will be attempting, earning 13
42:52chips per zodiac.
42:53The team member creating the depictions, however, will only have 50 rocks total.
42:57More zodiacs attempted means fewer rocks per depiction.
43:00These cannot take the form of letters or numbers.
43:03If the guessing team member does not guess every depiction correctly, this challenge has failed.
43:08Okay, there's two considerations.
43:10One is, we go to steel proof it.
43:12We go big.
43:13If we go conservative that we think we can accomplish the task, and we get the chips we need to
43:18finish our route.
43:19Yeah.
43:20Then it relies on them passing or failing.
43:23Yeah.
43:24Let's see.
43:24So to do the remaining one swing flips, we need 30.
43:28To do the ones after that, that we can get to today, we need five stations, so that's...
43:3260 chips.
43:33We need 60 chips.
43:34So we need...
43:35So to make it steel proof, that would actually be 10.
43:3710, that means we have five...
43:39Rocks.
43:40Rocks per.
43:41Well, let's look at the animals.
43:42So like, the problem is...
43:44Goat.
43:44Ox.
43:45There are so many four-legged animals.
43:48Representing a monkey with five stones.
43:49I don't think we can...
43:50Yeah, I don't think we can make them distinct in five stones.
43:54No.
43:54So let me figure out what we would need, assuming they failed the steel.
43:58We need to get six.
43:59That's still a lot.
44:00That's still a lot.
44:02But...
44:03More doable.
44:03That's our answer.
44:04Yeah.
44:05I think that's what we need.
44:06Because I think we need to claim every possible station we can.
44:09Okay, the next question is, who wants to guess?
44:12Who wants to make?
44:13What do you think?
44:14I think you and I could do equally well at either.
44:16I think you should make it.
44:18I feel...
44:18I think as like the last challenge, I feel like you should do the bigger part.
44:22Okay, I'll make them.
44:23Okay, let's go collect some stones.
44:25We get 50 stones to represent six different animals, which is what we guess we would do.
44:30The thing is, I have these animals to represent.
44:33There's a lot of them that are four-legged animals, like an ox, a tiger, a horse, a goat, a
44:40dog, a pig.
44:42Kind of like, how do you showcase that?
44:44So I'm going to focus on the other ones, which are things like a rat, dragon, right?
44:51Snake, rooster.
44:52That's a bird?
44:54Okay, Mike's searching for his rocks.
44:57I'm not allowed to help him, but I hope he's picking good rocks.
45:04All right, we're approaching it.
45:06Okay, yeah.
45:07See, very funky, distinctive pattern.
45:12And I could stand right smack in the middle of it.
45:20Like...
45:21Try some different shots.
45:23Right?
45:24Like...
45:26Like this.
45:29Right?
45:30And you can kind of see that.
45:32You can see it's curved.
45:33You can see it's this weird, curvy pattern.
45:36And I think you just...
45:37I'm just right at the center.
45:39You know?
45:39There's only one part that's like this, that's at the center.
45:42It goes off.
45:43So it's just...
45:44That's the only place I could be.
45:48I think you might be able to spot me.
45:51Okay, so it seems like Sam and Mike are sort of taking their sweet time with this challenge.
45:56Which is fine.
45:57Because I'm here.
45:58I'm ready.
45:59I'm...
45:59As soon as...
46:01As soon as you guys earn those chips, I'm ready to spot Adam, probably.
46:05Even though that seems like it's gonna be really hard.
46:07And I got my boba.
46:09They're selling boba up there.
46:10So I got everything I could ever need.
46:11I'm quenching my thirst for chips for the little boba.
46:15Okay.
46:15Hurry it up, Sam and Mike.
46:17You don't got a lot of time left in this game.
46:21It's the boys.
46:34What's up, the boys?
46:47We are hoping they're heading out for a training exercise.
46:51I'm trying to narrow the animals down to their most defining features.
46:56The features that stand out above any other.
46:59Trying to find colors, shapes, that will be like immediately noticeable.
47:04It might just come down to finding the right stones.
47:09Look at this thing.
47:15Apparently, that thing swings back and forth to stabilize the building during earthquakes.
47:22It's pretty crazy.
47:24There you go.
47:25No word from them yet.
47:26Who knows if they're gonna get this.
47:29Mike, I just wanted to let you know, important fun fact.
47:31This air base where all the fighter jets are launching from,
47:33Yeah?
47:33has an underground hangar complex with space to fit 200 fighter jets.
47:39Holy cow.
47:40So we could be standing on fighter jets right now.
47:42Yeah.
47:43That is a fun fact.
47:44But it's apparently Taiwan's most survivable air base.
47:48So we're in a good spot.
47:51Okay, I think I just need two skinny rocks and I'm done.
47:56All right.
47:57Don't judge me on my artistic skills.
47:59I'm not an arts and crafts expert.
48:02All right, Sam.
48:03We are locked in.
48:05I've done my best.
48:06I know it all comes down to this.
48:08Mike, what is that?
48:13That's something.
48:14Okay.
48:14This, that's pretty clear, I think.
48:18I think that's gotta be the rabbit.
48:21This, I mean, if it's anything, it's gotta be the pig.
48:24Because I feel like it's a big rotund orange one.
48:27So my guess is that you would figure, that I would figure,
48:31that a big rotund orange thing would be a pig.
48:36This has gotta be a snake.
48:38I think.
48:40Oh, what is this?
48:44My best guess for now is dragon, but I'm gonna think on that.
48:48Oh no.
48:50This also looks kind of like a pig.
48:53Hmm.
48:54I was feeling confident until I saw this,
48:56because I kind of think that that is a pig.
48:58Like that's a pig face.
48:59Am I wrong?
49:01I'm wrong with one of these.
49:04Okay, I'll come back to that.
49:05This has gotta be the rooster.
49:07The ones I'm pretty sure on.
49:08I'm pretty sure that's rooster.
49:09Again, I said I was keeping it simple,
49:11not using any of the four-legged animals,
49:14none of the big, like, horse, goat, ox type thing.
49:17So this is our rooster.
49:20I lean towards this being the dragon,
49:23but it's pretty abstract.
49:25That is our dragon.
49:26This I am pretty sure is a snake.
49:29I don't see what this could be but a snake.
49:31This long flat is our snake.
49:34That looks pretty rabbit-like.
49:36Like, I think the ears like that,
49:39that's uniquely rabbit.
49:40And this, hopefully you can tell it's a bunny.
49:45Little rabbit.
49:46This is what's tripping me up.
49:48I feel like if anything, if this were to mean anything,
49:51I really feel like it's a pig.
49:53So I'm trying to figure out what this one could be.
49:59This is an orange rock.
50:00I know it's our tiger.
50:03It's orange with black stripes.
50:05No defining features.
50:06I didn't want to confuse it.
50:07I want him to focus on the color.
50:09That's it.
50:09Because as I said,
50:11the four-legged animals are going to be really hard.
50:13I don't want him to confuse it with a horse or something else.
50:19It looks pig-like.
50:25This is our pig.
50:26Really focused on the snout.
50:28Making it 3D.
50:29The ears kind of sideways.
50:31It looks a little bit like a dog.
50:34But I think the snout is defining enough.
50:37I was worried if it didn't have the ears, it wouldn't work.
50:38My best theory, I think, is dog.
50:42Because, like, dogs have a bit of a snout.
50:46They have big ears.
50:49Let me, let me, let me...
50:56He thinks pigs are orange.
50:58Okay.
50:59But other animals are orange.
51:01They're snakes.
51:02The thing is, though,
51:04we've got a little bit of time until we want to clear this
51:06because we don't want to give them any extra time.
51:08Right.
51:09We want to time it right before our train.
51:13Yes.
51:13At 3.30.
51:14So we want to wait 10, 15 minutes or so.
51:16Okay.
51:17And then clear this.
51:18For now, we can enjoy the beautiful sea view.
51:20Yeah.
51:20While I ruminate on this.
51:22Yeah.
51:22Look, I'm starting to get a little nervous here.
51:25We need to be getting on the Metro at 3.30.
51:29So Ben's going to have to get down from there.
51:31We're going to have to walk 10 minutes to the Metro,
51:33get on the Metro,
51:34get to the station,
51:35and then we're going to have to get a reservation
51:37on a limited express,
51:38which we know are sometimes sold out
51:40or else we're not going to be able to flip those stations.
51:44So I'm getting a little nervous here.
51:47They're really waiting us out.
51:51So I've ruminated.
51:52This is the final.
51:54So you'll walk down all of them.
51:56You will tell us each one decisively.
51:59Yeah.
52:00Then you will say I'm locked in
52:01and then I will tell you whether you are right or wrong.
52:04And I think we have just enough time to make our train.
52:06Wait a minute. This is it.
52:07This is truly it.
52:09But this is our final play.
52:10This is our final play.
52:11This is to win or to lose.
52:13Okay.
52:15Rooster.
52:15I don't see what it could be but dragon.
52:17This has got to be a snake.
52:19This has got to be a rabbit.
52:22This is the one that scares me.
52:24This is the one that scares me.
52:25But I'm going to say dog.
52:28I would have said that one is a pig.
52:30But I don't see what this could be but a pig.
52:32I just don't have a better guess.
52:35Let's lock it in.
52:36Sam.
52:39We are incorrect.
52:41Oh no.
52:44Which one?
52:46What is it?
52:47What other animal is orange with black stripes?
52:50A tiger.
52:51That was smart.
52:52No.
52:53It's just.
52:54No.
52:54That probably makes more sense to be honest.
52:56That's GG.
52:57I think that's it.
52:59We have.
52:59We have.
53:00We can't move.
53:01It's been a pleasure Mike.
53:03Honestly.
53:03It's been a blast.
53:05And this is not a bad spot to end.
53:06All right.
53:07Should we give him a call?
53:08Yeah.
53:10Okay.
53:11I just got a text from Sam and Mike saying to get ready for a call.
53:18So I am going to head back down.
53:22Well Adam, I think I know what time it is.
53:26It's them.
53:27Howdy boys.
53:28Hi guys.
53:29Gentlemen.
53:30We have news.
53:31We failed.
53:32Which means no more chips for us.
53:34This is as far as we go.
53:36No more movements.
53:36So by our count, you hold more stations than us.
53:40Yeah.
53:40Which I think makes you the champions of season 17 of Jetlag the game.
53:48You've done the game.
53:50Yeah.
53:56Yeah.
53:58Yeah.
54:14Well, and thank you for saying that all these the time the change has been in the game.
54:16That might, you know, hey, you guys played a great game.
54:21So as we've been traveling around,
54:23just in case this was gonna happen,
54:26we had been collecting a bunch of chips.
54:29Chips!
54:30We made something for you.
54:31Yeah, we figured it was worth putting all these chips
54:33together to make you, I'll just show you,
54:36it's over my shoulder here.
54:37You wanna get it?
54:38Yeah.
54:39It's the first working graphics processing unit trophy.
54:44You see this?
54:45Oh my goodness, it looks like it could process so much computing.
54:50Can it play Minecraft?
54:51It might just be the fastest, most powerful trophy ever made.
54:55And is it powerful enough to fly directly here?
54:58Probably.
54:59Probably.
55:00Do you wanna try it?
55:01Whoa.
55:04Whoa.
55:05Adam, I see it.
55:07Wait, wait, so.
55:07Coming your way.
55:08Coming in.
55:09I've gotta cover the tower.
55:10Oh, whoa, whoa.
55:13Whoa.
55:14Whoa.
55:15Oh, we got it.
55:16We got it.
55:17Yes, let's play Minecraft on it.
55:19Okay, then we're having so much fun.
55:21And down.
55:23Okay.
55:23Well, congrats again, guys.
55:25Yeah, we just have one question.
55:27How do you feel?
55:27How are we feeling?
55:29I mean, what a question.
55:30I mean, what, 13 time zones?
55:33I think we passed 13 time zones to get here.
55:35Long flight.
55:35Long flight.
55:36Oh, wait, there's about to be a fighter jet that misses with our audio.
55:39I mean, if I had to sum it up in one word.
55:41I suppose we could put the audience out of their misery by telling them that we are feeling
55:47jet lag!
55:49Jet lag!
55:51Yeah!
55:53That's the name of the show.
55:54That's the show!
55:54It's also how they're feeling.
55:56Woohoo!
55:58Woohoo!
55:59Woohoo!
55:59That's season 17!
56:01Thank you, Mike.
56:02Thank you, Sam.
56:04Taiwan has been awesome.
56:05Thanks for watching the season, everybody!
56:08We'll see you in season 18.
56:11See you in season 18!
56:12Bye!
56:16Ben, great work once again.
56:20A wonderful victory by us.
56:22Is that what happened?
56:23Another brutal defeat for Sam Denby.
56:25When will the losing streak end?
56:27There's no way to know.
56:28But you know what we do know?
56:29That we really appreciate you watching this whole season on Nebula.
56:33Well, you know what?
56:34We put so much work into this show, and we're really proud of it.
56:39And we're really, really appreciative that you've taken the time to watch the whole thing,
56:43and especially to do it on Nebula, which is the only reason we're able to make it in the first
56:46place.
56:47So, thank you.
56:48Thank you so much.
56:48I boxed y'all out.
56:49Guys, I finished my section, so we have to transition to the next part.
56:52The boxing was...
56:53We have to transition to the next, because I did my bed.
56:55Yeah, okay.
56:56So, look.
56:58The Layover Podcast.
56:59We keep it rolling, okay, in the off-season.
57:02We do a lot of stuff.
57:05And in fact, I would say some of the finest episodes of that podcast take place during the off-season.
57:12We've been dispensing life advice.
57:14We've been playing games that are a rip-off of other games.
57:18Tom Scott once told us why Britain is like that.
57:21Tom Scott once told us why...
57:21That's our best Layover episode ever, and that was the off-season episode.
57:23That might be Tom, yeah.
57:24And it was Tom's idea we weren't going to do something that involved.
57:28But you know what's crazy?
57:29What?
57:30But there's even more Tom Scott that they can get on Nebula.
57:33And that's releasing one week early on Nebula, which means the next episode is always on Nebula.
57:37It's a great series.
57:38He's going all around Britain.
57:39It's got, like, jet lag energy and Tom Scott energy, but it's totally different from Tom Scott on Jet Lag.
57:44And you know what?
57:45There's another Nebula from this series that is going around places and filming things.
57:55I don't believe you.
57:56Because it's Downy Express.
57:58Oh!
57:59Now I believe you.
58:00Yeah, he was the guy who was with me in the trains.
58:04But now he goes to other trains all around the world on Downy Express, which is also a Nebula.
58:10It's once again one of these series that honestly I'm jealous of where they do things that are kind of
58:15like Jet Lag.
58:16It's like Jet Lag with way less stress and suffering.
58:18How many different series do you think that we've described as being sort of like Jet Lag in some way?
58:23Well, there's just a lot of creators who are smarter than us.
58:26Yeah, totally.
58:27You should go watch that.
58:29It's on Nebula.
58:29And I guess the point I'm trying to make is there's quite a lot going on to fulfill you through
58:33the off season.
58:34We're going to be busy tapping buttons because that's how we make the next season.
58:38We're leaving to film the next season in two days when we film this.
58:42That's true.
58:42That's true.
58:43And it's going to be a banger.
58:45Yeah.
58:46And as you're watching this, we're tapping so many buttons to bring it to you as soon as possible.
58:50But in the meantime, go listen to the layover.
58:51Go watch Tom Scott.
58:52Go watch Downy Express.
58:54And once again, thank you for watching on Nebula.
58:56Genuinely really appreciative.
58:58Goodbye.
59:04I was like, I have a wife too and her name is Tennessee and I need to go claim her
59:07right now.
59:12It's Adam.
59:13Ben.
59:14That's Ben.
59:15Amy.
59:16Sam.
59:21It's astonishing the effect that four shots of bourbon is having on my body.
59:29Go on!
59:31Woo-hoo-hoo!
59:32Woo-hoo!
59:33Woo-hoo!
59:34Woo-hoo!
