00:01Police rushed to a home in Lowood about an hour west of Brisbane just after 11 o'clock last night.
00:08They say they found the girl unresponsive and she was declared dead at the scene.
00:14Police have yet to give any information about cause of death but say an autopsy will be conducted to determine

00:23The girl's mother was taken into custody and is due to face Ipswich Magistrates Court this afternoon.
00:29The home remains a crime scene as a homicide probe continues.
