00:02Police spent this morning door knocking in Adelaide's northern suburbs trying to piece
00:06together what may have happened in the lead up to a baby's death. Authorities were called to
00:11the home on Midlow Road in Elizabeth Downs around 8 o'clock Wednesday night. A nine-month-old boy
00:16was unresponsive and unable to be revived by paramedics. One big ambulance and then at least
00:23three or four of the four-wheel drive ambulances and then followed by a fire truck and about six
00:28police cars. And how long were they here? The ambulances and all of that left quite quickly
00:33maybe they were there for an hour and then the police were here till approximately 1am. Nearby
00:38residents say they're shocked by the death. It's horrible and I've got two children of my own
00:44like all you want to do is try to protect them. Quite a quiet neighbourhood it's you know good to
00:50live in there's not not really a whole lot happens on this street. Neighbours have told the ABC they've
00:55seen more than one child at the address. Police have charged a woman from the property with criminal
01:00neglect. The 31 year old was bailed and will appear in Elizabeth Magistrates Court in April.
