00:04Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam. Allah has made Hajj obligatory once in a lifetime upon
00:10every Muslim who has the ability and means. There are three types of Hajj. Hajj al-ifrad,
00:16Hajj al-qiran, and Hajj al-tamatu. Most pilgrims from Pakistan perform Hajj al-tamatu.
00:23Before Hajj, sincerely repent from sins, fulfill the rights of others, and seek forgiveness
00:28from parents and relatives. Before entering ihram, cut the nails and remove unwanted hair
00:34because these actions become prohibited after ihram begins. Mikat is the boundary beyond which
00:39a person cannot pass without entering ihram. Performing ghusl before ihram is sunnah. If ghusl
00:45is not possible, perform wudu. Men wear two unstitched white cloths. The head and ankles must remain
00:51uncovered. Women wear normal modest Islamic clothing. Gloves are not allowed and cloth should not touch
00:57the face directly. After making intention for Umrah, begin reciting the talbiya,
01:03labayk Allahumma labayk. After ihram begins, several actions become prohibited, including perfume,
01:10cutting hair, and arguing. When seeing the Kaaba for the first time, raise your hands and make
01:15heartfelt dua. Start tawaf from Hajj al-Aswad saying, Bismillahi Allahu Akbar.
01:24Perform seven circuits around the Kaaba while keeping it on your left side. Men perform ramal
01:29during the first three rounds and uncover the right shoulder during tawaf. After tawaf,
01:34pray two rak'ahs and drink zamzam water while facing the qibla. Perform seven rounds between safa and
01:40marwa. Men jog between the green markers. Men shave or trim the hair, while women cut a small,
01:46fingertip-length portion. On the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah, enter ihram again with the intention of Hajj.
01:52Proceed to mina and perform the five prayers there. The standing at Arafah is the greatest pillar of
01:58Hajj. Missing it invalidates the Hajj. Spend the day in du'ah, repentance, talbiya, and remembrance of
02:04Allah. After sunset, travel to Muzdalifah, combine Maghrib and Isha, and spend the night there.
02:10Collect small pebbles for the stoning ritual. Throw seven pebbles at Jamara al-Aqaba while saying,
02:16Allahu Akbar. After Rami, offer the sacrifice required for Hajj, Tamatu, and Kiran. Perform
02:22tawaf al-Ziara, which is an obligatory pillar of Hajj. On the following days, stone all three
02:28jamarat in the proper order. Before leaving Makkah, perform the farewell tawaf. Avoid common mistakes
02:34during ihram, tawaf, sa'i, arafa, and Rami. These sacred places are among the greatest symbols of Islam.
