00:12according to islamic teachings zakah is obligatory on gold silver cash and all kinds of trade goods

00:18zakah is obligatory on all forms of gold and silver including jewelry coins and decorative

00:23items if belongings are intended for trade zakah is due otherwise zakah is not obligatory

00:29on personal belongings zakah is also obligatory on currency notes if they equal or exceed the nisab

00:35amount if you own small amounts of gold and silver their combined value is calculated to see if they

00:41reach nisab any items purchased for selling and profit are called trade goods nisab is the minimum

00:47amount of wealth required before zakah becomes obligatory the nisab of silver is fifty two and a

00:53half tolas of silver one fortieth or two and a half percent of your total wealth must be given as

00:58zakah

00:58the nisab of gold is seven and a half tolas of gold may allah help us fulfill our obligations
