00:00I don't really think it's football, but whatever.
00:03But there's a reason why flag football is becoming a predominant sport in America.
00:08And I've never seen anything grow as fast as we've seen with flag football.
00:12It's because the National Football League is 1,000% behind it.
00:16You now see that it's also going to be an Olympic sport.
00:20And you get the opportunity to have both men and women playing in the sport.
00:24So you get to have an opportunity to advance it.
00:27Remember something about the National Football League.
00:30One of the things that they hate the most is courtrooms.
00:34And they do not want to be in courtrooms.
00:37The NFL is going more towards being a flag football type style of play.
00:43You saw that flag football experiment that they had with Tom Brady just a few months ago.
00:49Like we just said, the NCAA now is coming out with a formal recommendation to become an NCAA sport.
00:57If legislation is approved by three divisions in January of this coming season, this is going to be the first
01:06championship will be projected to be played in the spring of 2028.
01:12Flag football, folks, is here to stay.
01:15And now it's going to be a varsity sport for both men and women.
01:21Look, there's so many programs across the United States that are being canceled because of NIL, because of Transfer Portal.
01:31Yet you have a sport now that's being added to the sports departments across the country.
01:39Why?
01:40Because there's financial backing.
01:42You know why many of the women's sports on the planet don't really have any traction?
01:48Because they don't have a TV deal and they don't have financial backing.
01:53Flag football has financial backing.
01:56They have the National Football League also behind them.
01:59Anything that the National Football League gets involved with, the National Football League believes in one thing.
02:06That's the cash register.
02:07They see a monetary thing here with flag football.
02:11There's even conversation that the NFL is going to have a flag football league by the start of the 2028
02:18season.
02:19That means the owners of the National Football League are going to have flag football teams being played in the
02:26springtime and they're going to be professional teams.
02:30Look, the NFL is looking for content.
02:32The NFL is looking for these new stadiums that they build for them to be able to have sporting events
02:39inside these buildings.
02:41And make no mistake about it, this is something that the National Football League has embraced since day one because
02:48of concussions, because of CTE.
02:52The league doesn't want to be in a battle any longer with the Players Association when it comes to CTE.
02:59What's the best way to do that?
03:01Let's take the helmets off the players and let's get a flag football league going.
03:07Plus, what's the one thing that you hear a lot of women and a lot of families doing?
03:12I'm not allowing my kid to play football because of the contact, because of the dangers of playing at pro
03:20football.
03:21The most deadliest thing on the planet for football players is the helmet.
03:27The helmet has been the most destructive thing when it comes to lives for men that have played in the
03:33National Football League.
03:34You know, the league can tell you all you want.
03:36They put those air holes in the helmets.
03:39It is without a doubt one of the most destructive things when it comes to players has been the advent
03:45of the helmet.
03:46Look, I've said it before.
03:48Troy Aikman has said it before.
03:50You want to stop concussions?
03:52Take those helmets away.
03:53That's exactly what the National Football League is trying to do now by starting these flag football leagues.
04:00They do not want to be in a courtroom.
04:02They do not want to be held responsible for the players that came before who have all issues when it
04:09comes to CTE.
04:11Almost every single player that dies and has his head and brain examined by a coroner, all of them come
04:18back and say they're CTE.
04:20You got guys like Jerry Jones who say to you that that never was really a problem and the helmets
04:25never caused this.
04:26Well, every single player that has had an issue and some of the great friends of mine that have been
04:32lost because of CTE, Junior Seau, go down the list, Andre Waters, Dave Durson, Mike Webster.
04:40These were all guys who had problems and the National Football League and the Players Association, which is one of
04:47the weakest unions on the planet, does nothing to protect the players of the past.
04:52The NFL doesn't want to be in that courtroom any longer.
04:55And this is why flag football is becoming a prominent sport in this country and why you're seeing it now,
05:01even at the college level.
05:02Nobody wants to take accountability or responsibility for what happened to the players before.
05:09That's why flag football is here.
05:11And that's why flag football is going to be here to stay.
