Transcript
00:04now when it comes to hair I have a bit of a monopoly no you and I have monopoly on
00:12the
00:12head yes yeah but I always feel a little bit embarrassed fuzz yeah or a little bit sort of
00:16like smug but I just wanted to show you this what do you reckon on that what do you know
00:23just a lot of weight yeah I saw been and I thought it was taught for a minute yeah exactly
00:27that's how
00:28young and sprightly she looks after a nice haircut yeah yeah I personally think that I do as well
00:34if only the only difference is when she has a haircut what she loses weight visually right you don't
00:46and we're off trawling Britain's sheds this is absolutely unbelievable for the most intriguing
00:56I have never ever seen one of these the most exciting oh oh oh now that is a naughty car
01:04the
01:05most surprising classic cars it is very you I love it we're gonna buy them fix them up
01:15and sell them for a tidy profit nice little earner hey this is shed and buried classic cars
01:31we're back in the landy heading for stroud in Gloucestershire and this time I'm the one
01:37complaining look I'm telling you I'm gonna get rid of this car it's not comfortable is it really this
01:43is a nice a nice ride no this is exciting all right this is lively it's a Land Rover mate
01:51yeah love
01:51them because they're awful right talking of that who we see you're seeing Dave all right now Dave you've
01:59talked about him yeah Dave has a lot of different stuff so he has a kind of broad selection of
02:07motor cars
02:07is he the guy who had a tile shop yes that's right yeah he also has a penchant for an
02:13enamel sign
02:15does he oh he does yeah and other accoutrement and trinkets whether we come back with a more
02:24comfortable car an enamel sign or two square meters of ceramic kitchen tiles who knows but Dave's place
02:31in Stroud here we come tell me why are you going to Bentley's and rollers and basically luxury luxury
02:40transport yes yeah just a bit of a poser I suppose oh yeah I want to be that you see
02:46that's refreshing
02:46as well somebody says yeah I'm just want to pose about in them yeah great that's what they're there
02:51for yeah tell me tell me how you got into it all then well back in 2004 I bought the
02:56first Bentley and
02:58I've always liked me cars so that was it and it just went on from there really did it but
03:02Dave there
03:03are other vehicles here yes yes yes more more in our price range hopefully yes there is indeed do you
03:09have any other things like signs or petrol pumps or yeah we got some signs and petrol pumps inside so
03:15we'll have a look at those next and the important thing though is is everything for sale most things
03:20of a sale most okay if the price is right are they all right hey look Dave we'll have a
03:25rummage around
03:26yeah brilliant yeah and then we'll ask you to come and join us for something just you know you need
03:30any information about anything that's fine yeah and then at the end of it yeah hopefully we'll have a
03:34haggle make us some offers yeah fantastic definitely Dave thank you so very much all right well we're
03:40going to go over to the cheap seats over there you don't you don't want to have a look here
03:43uh no
03:44come on yeah all right yeah go on then go on let's just I do I will I will Dave
03:47let's just have a look
03:48I'll have a moochie about okay I don't think we're going to be haggling on anything in this shed
03:55but we've got to look he's got a 6.7 litre Rolls-Royce ghost I could see myself in one
04:02of these I bet
04:03you could yeah unfortunately yes I'm very sorry but that's not going to happen a Bentley convertible
04:11these the old what 0405 plate you can pick them up for not a lot of money they are very
04:16affordable
04:16but you need to buy one that has really been looked after nice though yes it is nice an older
04:23roller
04:23that would have made John Lennon proud out of all of them here I mean if I had to pick
04:29one that would
04:30be mine I think so I think so I would have it paisley wrapped though would you I'm a Beatles
04:35fan
04:36none of these are really affordable but at the back there is something that might be now this is
04:41a Jaguar 240 so it's the smallest engine out of the mark ii range it was inspector morse's favorite car
04:51but you don't need to be a detective to figure out why fast comfortable and enjoyable to drive
04:57as the ads proclaimed it offered grace space and pace these are the most affordable of all of the
05:05mark twos because it's got their non-hide interior ambler they call it what vinyl yeah it kind of is
05:12yeah and they don't have the spotlights on the front they just have a couple of grills mimicking the
05:17spotlights okay and they've got the thin bumpers as well but look look Dave is a man of quality and
05:24detail this is immaculate yeah I like it you know I like this it's a lovely car I wonder if
05:29that's for
05:29sale moving outside in search of those elusive cheap seats all right now things are getting
05:37interesting here aren't they yes this is our street down our alley our first target is a slightly less
05:46pristine roller a silver spur now this I think is a little bit more rock and roll it is a
05:54roller but
05:56it's of the age where the where the the the the prices are quite low you give me an idea
06:00now what's
06:01that now tell me that that color ain't that great what happens if we were to acquire this if it
06:08was the
06:08right price are you thinking of paint not rattle canning a rolls-royce yeah really you're gonna you're
06:15thinking of so we paint it matte black yeah yeah and then we get Pete the sign writer in to
06:21put rock
06:21and roller down the side just a thought something tells me Fuzz ain't quite convinced but next door he perks
06:31up
06:32oh come on let's have a look yeah yes well it just gets better and better about every corner now
06:39here
06:39yeah is the big Merc of the late 50s okay this is the add an hour maybe even the mid
06:4650s I think it's
06:47the add an hour or something now they used to do what add an hour not as in add an
06:53hour a bit like when
06:54they change the clocks named after West Germany's first Prime Minister Conrad add an hour the Mercedes
07:05add an hour range included both huge presidential limousines and sportier coupes these ordinarily
07:14are great big long limousines that are that are a big favorite of jumped up despots who like to
07:22push people around and and basically are not very nice to them are you having a go
07:29oh this is a short wheelbase one this is for lovely people oh okay yeah good like you
07:35there we go how much is that enough smoke there yeah yeah it is that's really nice that Austin
07:40right so this is an Austin I think the official designation is an A60 right but it's an Austin pickup
07:46this one's probably late 1960s it's had a little bit of work on it here and there but that's
07:52quite nice that's all right I love the interior yeah the the interior is good it's column change
07:57as well so you can you can fit your your two workmates in there as well as the driver yeah
08:03but the other thing is yeah look at the length of the bed in the back there yeah what's that
08:09big
08:09enough for a coffin I was thinking more motorcycle oh yeah for the likes of you that is an ideal
08:17sort
08:18of classic pickup all right it's a possibility isn't it come on that's a possibility where do you want
08:23to go next do you want to go inside let's just turn right shall we see what happens let's do
08:27that
08:29inside Dave's shop it's even more surprising hold on look just turn that way no don't know this way
08:36this way this way that's like looking in a mirror isn't it
08:42oh look oh fuzz look at this oh yeah I'm there hey absolutely there beer no no not the beer
08:50check the
08:51helicopter out oh yeah I tell you who would love that if it goes like this jelly bean very true
08:59look look look wow look at the cans I wasn't expecting this neither was I mean this is Dave's
09:06tile shop yeah but it's absolutely adorned with everything Dave mate I'm getting old I don't move
09:13as fast as I used to relax relax relax take it easy man you don't need to sit down or
09:16anything
09:17tell me how long it's taking you to collect all those two gallon cans it's probably over the past 20
09:22years is it yeah yeah yeah wow they are fantastic though aren't they and the signs as well so do
09:30people come in here for tiles and are they taken aback by everything else you've got in here yeah some
09:36people come in just to look at the collections and bits and pieces and the cars and everywhere
09:41you look there is something to focus on yeah which have a wander through here Dave thanks so much
09:52Dave's next shed combines both cars and trinkets vintage petrol signs ROP yeah Russian yeah oil
10:02products mystery objet all I do know though is I've never ever seen one something to get you noticed
10:12oh that's great isn't it oh mate I love that just imagine that as your doorbell or your alarm call
10:18you might get a little bit bored of that yeah yeah and several Morris miners including a rare gown van
10:26these were used by dry cleaners and also uh alterations companies and tailors and that kind of stuff
10:35we could stay here forever but before we get overwhelmed we've got to take stock
10:42fine uh now roller which one white one the 1980s one yeah all right what else is there there is
10:51that
10:51Austin pickup yeah that's nice that's lovely just because I think pickups like that are really easy
10:57to sell on I really want to buy all his petrol cans but yeah obviously it's taken him 20 years
11:01to
11:01collect them so that's right I mean that is a display feature for his business I think we've got
11:05quite a few things if you just trinkets sort of those yeah trinkets to the motor yeah go see yeah
11:11come on let's go and ask a few questions yeah let's inquire yeah hey look before we start on motors
11:20can I just ask you can I offer you on that sign you can indeed yes yeah what about 100
11:27quid for that
11:28seems fair deal are those um parts washers or what are they do you know I'm not really sure um
11:38they're old yeah yeah see that how much for a pair for the pair 60 pound yeah
11:47a mechanical horn there is oh yeah mechanical claxon horn yeah yeah and how much do you want for that
11:53yeah make me an offer 40 quid yeah I think that's fair enough 40 quid all right yeah great okay
12:00we'll
12:00turn that up later oh hang on 46 200 we're in yeah at the moment good figuring it okay now
12:06then let's
12:07talk about cars okay so the white jaguar 240 oh yeah yes is that available it's available that would be
12:1310 000 pounds okay actually quite rightly it's in immaculate condition it's a lovely yeah it's
12:19a lovely thing can I ask about the uh the morris minor gown van the game that's a that's a
12:24lovely
12:25old thing yes it might be a bit a bit too much work for us but is that for sale
12:28i've got to ask about
12:30five grand for that okay okay let's talk about something that perhaps i'm not totally in love with
12:35but at the same time that white roller over there the white roller yeah silver spur tell me about that
12:42it's a good car it's a nice old car and it's got the rear end goes down a little bit
12:49right but
12:50when you start it up it comes back up again okay but in the back in the boot in the
12:54corners are like
12:56um tubs if you want which is part of the suspension they may want bleeding okay or readjusting
13:02okay so possibly right there well it pays you money it takes your chances don't you the the one
13:08rear door yeah card is off that's right i noticed because the electric window doesn't work okay and
13:14i'm fiddling about with that and i've got a new piece for it or a second hand yes to go
13:18in there
13:18and the wood for in the front on the dash is all here i've just taken them off and re
13:22-varnished them
13:23ready to go back up fabulous so that's all yeah all right so there's stuff to do yeah yeah how
13:28much
13:28is that bargain price of five thousand pound would you take four for the roller the white roller four and
13:36a half
13:50we're in stroud with dave and his amazing collection oh that's great isn't it we've already bought
13:59a trove of trinkets and now we're bidding on a rolls-royce silver spur
14:05would you take four for the roller the white roller four and a half
14:11i think that's uh i think that's fair you've met in the middle at that point
14:14yeah so that means in total if we do that i owe you 4 700. that's about right henry yeah
14:21come on then mate we're down there all right we'll have a laugh with that roller
14:27back at base next day it's time to contemplate what we've done or should i say admit
14:35i think we did really well in that shed it was brilliant yeah it was really great some great
14:39stuff there's some great stuff can i just say fuzzer yes you're gonna get a surprise as well
14:44there is something out there that we did talk about yeah and you thought that we
14:49weren't going to buy i couldn't resist it so i went back and got it i'm intrigued yes you might
14:55be go on come on come on out go on oh here we go that's a bit proper isn't it
15:00that's fantastic i
15:01love these it's majestic i absolutely love these it's so long how long can you get yeah well it's
15:07very white as well isn't it it is very white it is like a beached whale well look i think
15:12we'll put
15:12the door card in yeah we'll get it running nice yeah make sure it's all cool take it for a
15:17test drive
15:17and then we'll contemplate any adornment and talking of adornments our sign needs a quick
15:23rub down and then i've got a plan you seem to have gone large this time that's huge the car's
15:28huge yes
15:29it is as it was cheap we'll wash it but i think i want to put it on that wall
15:34yeah i think it's nice
15:36with blue yeah if you don't mind us losing well we're not losing we're just investing but it's just up
15:42on the wall yeah i think i think that will look brilliant okay great all right so that's russian
15:47oil products the rock yeah as we all know yeah uh cheap russian fuel right they were trying to get
15:53in back in the day into the uk market with cheap russian fuel no change there hey right helicoptering
16:01oh no i couldn't resist it at 150 quid a snip what do you reckon gosh who says henry's no
16:09fun one thing
16:10good about that though it's attached to the ground permanently yes and you can fly that one i can fly
16:14that one the trouble is though there's always you can't fly that one what do you mean you are not
16:20going to get in there says who we're in out comes a 50 pence piece that's a 50p here we
16:28go watch yourself
16:29i'll be amazed if this works and in goes the pilot just a little bit more careful kid seriously no
16:38no i'm
16:38stuck now and i'm in trouble right really is there an emergency stop no i don't know how you stop
16:44it
16:45as for the other items stand by because this is loud the klaxon's good as it is
16:52and our mystery oil dispensers stroke parts washers just need a clean up look this does they do move so
17:00maybe we can take them apart clean them up internally and maybe who knows we could get them working you
17:06know
17:06what we need we need a parts washer good point well delivered a bigger one bigger one okay so look
17:13we've got our work cut out with these right but i think we've got quite a good haul what do
17:18you reckon
17:18i think it's great yeah especially the car i love the car yeah right well should we start with the
17:24car
17:24if you're driving that yes you are going to look so dodgy i know well that's what excites me
17:31that's what excites me rolls-royce status isn't it they say the car picks the person oh i love it
17:39i want to look wide and on that note time to get rolling the silver spur was one of rolls
17:47-royce's
17:48most successful models staying in production for 20 years it was fitted with self-leveling suspension
17:55but as dave warned us the pneumatic spheres that control it may be worn out
18:06smoking it this will sort it out don't you worry oh dear look if we're lucky a quick trip around
18:14the
18:14paddock will loosen things up do you know it's quite smooth isn't it it is i think the suspension's not
18:22too bad yeah it's fine but even if it doesn't our test ride's a lot of fun it's remarkably comfortable
18:28it is isn't it it watch out beans panicking okay i think we've done enough okay we ripped the field
18:42apart
18:45as for whether our field test has loosened up the suspension the jury's out
18:52right right what do you think bean out you go i think i might have i thought it was all
19:00right
19:01it's done me field a bit you know bean did you enjoy that look at that what a mess i
19:07know don't
19:07don't tell my darling wife just as well you can't see it from up above okay so look is it
19:13fixed now
19:13or not it's moving but you'll be all right you'll ride up with where so it might do it might
19:19do i still
19:20think yes that the spheres may have uh become defective yeah yeah okay well can we check them
19:26out a perished membrane why don't we go back and check them out tomorrow once we've yeah we need to
19:31jack it up and also get the pressure out of the suspension system 3000 psi yeah yeah there's a
19:37lot of pressure in there that's a lot of work man sorry man i've done my bit work through your
19:42hand
19:42that was oh here we go next day while we're waiting for a specialist suspension engineer
19:49fuzz and skid work on the rear door can i just say fuzz yeah i have never been behind the
19:55wheel of a
19:56rolls-royce before okay how does i've been in the passenger seat but never behind the wheel no one's
20:00ever let me loosen one of these how does it feel regal do you want to start it up skid
20:06give me a go
20:06yeah it's in park yeah you'll make a good chauffeur yet you can drive me around anywhere oh the good
20:13news is that the electric windows all seem to work down is down okay and up he's up the less
20:20good news
20:20is that reassembling the rear door is a mensa class challenge how many years old is this car this car
20:27is i think it's a 1984 or 1985 so i think it's just very january 1985 so it's currently 41
20:38years
20:38old as we do this right yeah right let's get this in i reckon this is in first i think
20:46no that's a
20:46captive nut behind it yeah yeah it does yeah yeah like all rolls-royces there's no expense spared when
20:53it comes to the finishing the door trim is burled walnut and the door buttons are chrome plated
21:00i bet that elastic band when it goes is 50 quid
21:05the tanned leather door card is made up of two interlocking panels
21:11this goes up and up and under oh there's your up and under it's got to go forward there we
21:15go
21:16right oh wait a minute hold on and even the padded armrest is a two-part assembly with its own
21:26internal
21:26light right so there we are all there remains to do is double check everything still works
21:34i'm your chauffeur for the day so sir if you would like to step into your carriage right thank you
21:40willison
21:42give it a go right you do your window see if your switch works well that works brilliant that's cool
21:50there we go that is all working fuzz and the card is on yeah okay and just try operating your
21:57door lock
21:59yes and up yes that's a healthy clunk excellent that is a healthy clunk so that means that everything
22:05i think that's in there is working perfect so a good start but there's plenty to do getting all our
22:14trinkets up to rolls-royce standard as for the suspension our perusal of my paddock may have been
22:20a bit of fun but getting the roller fit for a proper road trip is going to require a lot
22:25more work
22:41we had a good first day yesterday living at large in our rolls-royce silver spur
22:49next up we need to sort out the suspension system but first on today's list trinket cleaning
22:59i've got my boiler suit on it doesn't necessarily mean i'll be doing any work no but at the same
23:05time i have brought a bucket of love and understanding there it goes uh so we've got to clean that
23:14we've got to clean that and we've got to clean them okay the oil dispensers are going to need the
23:21most work so in time-honored fashion we'll put them off as long as possible
23:27fuzz tackles the helicopter and me and skid work on the rop sign first with soap and water and then
23:35with household cleaner that's not doing a lot is it it is removing sun good oh yeah it is yeah
23:40it's
23:41making it whiter in the 1930s rop russian oil products had almost 10 percent of the british market
23:50today the brand's long forgotten but signs an ephemera like this go for a packet
23:57it's gonna look great on the wall this isn't it oh i thought it was going to be sold i
24:03didn't think
24:03you'd see it i want it on a wall here oh okay it was only 100 quid i think it's
24:08a very good price you
24:09know are you having fun there fuzz uh yeah i feel more comfortable with this rather than the large ones
24:15there's no perspex to break on this one i can do i can do far less damage
24:21it's impossible to value attractions like our helicopter but after a wash and blow dry the price
24:27will soar right stand clear do you mind i'm just trying to dry this off yeah i'm done
24:39oh no you're not after his sterling work on the rop sign skid moves on to the oil dispenser
24:46that's coming up lovely skid lovely i think that's enough don't you because i keep going
24:50you reckon yeah just a little bit of oil makes a huge impact on old metal like this
24:56it's like one of the name plates on a steam engine it looks beautiful man
25:01god that's great look at it all been hidden away for years
25:06that's added a tenner hasn't it just what do you reckon fuzz oh now you're talking yeah that's
25:13coming up brilliantly oh they're lovely yeah cripes that's really added value i think if we got these
25:19trays out and really gave them a good clean out yeah maybe well maybe we could coax them back into
25:25action i'm going to run off with one of these and see on the mop what it does yeah yeah
25:30we just need
25:30to i think we need to use some engine degrease and jet wash the tops yeah okay yeah i think
25:36to get
25:36all the guns off yeah yeah while skid polishes the pump handles fuzz delves into the filthy depths of
25:43the oil reservoir not nice i can clean that out yeah i'm feeling unusual i think i might have to
25:51go to bed
25:53i've got a good idea yeah walk away from here yeah and guy can come back yeah and pick up
25:59from where
26:00we've left off perfect the day finishes with fuzz refitting the bulbs to the helicopter ride
26:13what a lovely day we've had boys that's true yeah should i put uh yeah go on just to finish
26:19it off
26:19for the evening okay yeah you're ready you're ready yeah i'm ready that's excellent news
26:27that's good oh there we go it's louder it is louder oh yeah i turned up the volume it's loud
26:35oh yeah
26:36this is fat what's he saying i don't know you have to be a kid to understand
26:46ready for take off
26:54next day jamie's here to fix the roller's suspension
27:00what what what the heck is that that is basically it's a citron hydraulic sphere it's filled with
27:06nitrogen it's got a bladder in it it's basically giving you the bounce this is full of air and that's
27:11what the car's floating on the expectation the spheres have blown on this one so the diaphragm's
27:16popped okay there's no air in there there's no bounce right it's rock solid these will go on it'll
27:21float lovely you'll be floating on air is it nitrogen gas because that doesn't change with temperature the
27:27pressure is that what it is yeah look at that he's not just a pretty face they use it in
27:32racing
27:32it's not even that mate i'll tell you look at him they use it in racing car tires because when
27:36the
27:36tires get different temperatures right the pressure doesn't change oh so that's pretty that's probably
27:44why i thought they might use it in that same kind of thing oh right yeah you should have known
27:47that
27:48yeah get me coat well best of luck oh you're not helping what you're not helping i can't hear you
27:53what he is helping he's going yeah actually it's funny i just lose my hearing sometimes yeah
27:59there he goes right so jamie what's the process i have done a little bit of research and i've jacked
28:05it up and just relaxed the suspension relaxed yeah pressure out of the system otherwise we'll have green
28:12stuff everywhere a lot of fluid we'll get a lot of fluid so we'll depressurize the system yes and it's
28:16just a matter of unscrewing the original ones and then swapping them over for these
28:20first things first fuzz goes under the car to drain off some hydraulic fluid
28:26how's that yeah here's a receptacle okay thank you very much the danger is that when fuzz opens the
28:34valve pressurized fluid could come splurting out but fortunately it's not so dramatic we have
28:42fluid dripping out which is good once the pressure's been released fuzz moves on to the pneumatic spheres
28:49are they hand tight or are they super tight they go on hand tight but that's probably been there for
28:54a
28:54very long time so we'll need a special tool with the aid of a dedicated strap wrench fuzz loosens off
29:01the old sphere i'm cracking is this going to spray all over me now yeah it shouldn't but it might
29:07and
29:08saying a prayer to eligius the patron saint of mechanics removes it gingerly there we go so i can see
29:16lots of fluid there so the diaphragm's gone the sphere's full of hydraulic fluid okay we've got
29:20rock hard suspension okay jamie steps up to fit the new sphere the space is so small that everything
29:26has to be done by feel uh has the seal come off the seals come off i can see that
29:31but after a little
29:34fun and games with an errant seal it's in hey there we are right so that's one completed so that's
29:41on
29:41hand tight that's all it has to do right okay so same again the second sphere is a little more
29:47awkward
29:48because the space is even tighter but 10 minutes later both have been replaced and we're still
29:54alive to tell the tale so in theory do up the bleeds underneath yeah this will bounce job done
30:02fuzz goes back underneath to tighten the bleed nipples tops up the hydraulic fluid and then
30:08tests it out shall we just have a little bounce at the back yeah it bounces or it floats
30:17floats on air on nitrogen actually well because i tried to release it um just drifting it it didn't
30:25work no no well look that's job done it's fantastic news i mean it's only taken three hours well yeah
30:31but i mean it's worth it i think that's an absolute result because if that hadn't worked yeah we were
30:36in
30:36a world of trouble from what i would have been yeah no exactly no no that is fantastic that's jamie
30:41thank
30:42you so much thank you jamie fuzzer thank you so much this is marvelous and i didn't do a lot
30:47no
30:47neither did i uh but you know no change there then all that remains is to finish the oil dispensers
30:54it's a dirty job but someone's got to do it eeny meeny miney skid everyone's abandoned me and can i
31:03just
31:04say this is the most hideous job uh i now know why everyone's disappeared this one inside isn't too
31:11bad i've given it a little bit of a scrape and a rummage in there this one is absolutely hideous
31:20so i'm just going to jet wash them out
31:25now in the past we've argued about what you should and shouldn't use a jet wash for
31:30but apart from a visit to the skip this really is the ideal restoration tool for this job these are
31:37purely decorative items
31:43once the chicken tikka has all been banished skid begins the much more pleasant task of reassembling
31:49we still don't know exactly what they were used for do we i think they might be kind of paraffin
31:55or
31:55something like that yeah when i was a kid in the in the early 1970s when the when the early
32:0019th century
32:01no no no i'm not as old as you but in the early 1970s when all the strikes were on
32:07we were using
32:08old paraffin lamps you know with a wick and stuff like that so perhaps that's exactly what this is
32:14have one of these down in your in your shed or in your coal shed and you just uh you
32:19just fill your
32:20paraffin lamp with it putting the oil dispensers back together is not quite as complex as the rolls
32:26royce's door card but five minutes later it's all done and don't they look good i do like these things
32:33fuzz i think they're rather charming yeah i know what you mean it's like i've never seen them before
32:38no and yeah here we are with two yeah i'm just going to put my plunger down
32:44let's just give that a little polish and uh check my plug works yeah and then down it goes
32:53flip over the the catch and there it is they look like absolutely picture those they do yeah
33:00and then when you open it up now it's all nice and bleak i mean look at that yeah what's
33:04not to
33:04like about that that's a thing of beauty isn't it and that's going to look great in workshops
33:10so we've sorted the trinkets the signage and the novelty ride do you mind tomorrow we'll take the
33:17roller on a regal road trip but will we float on air or will the spirit of ecstasy turn out
33:23to be agony
33:35a month ago behind a tile shop in stroud all right now things are getting interesting here
33:41we found a rolls royce silver spur now this is a little bit more rock and roll we fixed it
33:48up it
33:48bounces or it floats on air fitted it out it's got to go forward there we go yes and now
33:57after a quick
33:58wash and scrub up we're ready to take it on an outing
34:11i'm feeling the part you know mate i think you look the part as well yeah i hope you like
34:16my uh
34:17scrap metal merchants gear it looks great i'd like the bracelet as well the pendant and oh
34:23and the fat gold chain yeah that's okay lost a bit of weight it's not that fat no no but
34:29at the
34:29same time us in the roller going somewhere posh it's going to be great i can't wait to see what
34:35these two are wearing i know morning what's all this then you're looking very dapper weren't you
34:42listening to him last week when he he said we're going out in the roller look smart here we go
34:47yeah
34:47now look can i just tell you where we're going we are going to see henry henry just happens to
34:54own
34:55a small how do we describe it i know castle oh great that sounds good i like castles yeah
35:04you're more likely to get thrown out than us no no not at all i'll tell you what alan looks
35:08like a fig
35:12well look shall we uh i suppose you'll have to get in the back won't you gents in the back
35:16my boys in
35:17the front yeah yeah all right and off we roll
35:30oh that's a long don't i can feel it wanting to go yeah i like it as well
35:37your average rolls-royce is fitted with acres of soundproofing
35:41and now the suspension has been fixed we're getting the full luxury experience
35:50isn't it a lovely ride now it was very choppy before wasn't it very smooth in the back yeah mate
35:56i i i completely agree your friend uh what was his name jamie your friend jamie sorted us out large
36:04yeah that's great so i'm really pleased that it was the simple job the spheres actually i haven't
36:10actually had the bill yet the spheres weren't very much but the yeah he's uh he's quite expensive
36:18well do you know sage advice is worth the price
36:26how far is it to the castle not fast about 40 miles not far enough oh that's not far enough
36:32i thought we'd go on a really long road trip all right well look well by the time we've come
36:36back
36:37it's 80. top speed is about 120 but cruising along at 50 it's like a feather bed for the passengers
36:46at least
36:51one sweet dream later we arrive at our fantasy castle
36:59oh yeah i feel all posh don't you
37:06oh hello hey
37:11soodley castle near cheltenham is the family home of the dent brocklehurst
37:16and my super posh mate hen who i've arranged to meet after i showed the team around
37:23now i don't want you to get carried away because we're not stopping for cake
37:27hold on no no nice cakes we're gonna have tea with henry see them but there
37:36it's famous for its historic gardens and the picturesque ruins of the original castle
37:42that was almost destroyed during the civil war
37:46that's what we're doing please feast your eyes man look at it isn't it just the most beautiful thing
37:52it is but uh it's right for a resto yeah look obviously there's a few walls missing but build it
37:59all back up just think we know somebody who's got a bit of flooring material tiles that's a roofing
38:06i think it needs a bit more than flooring and this behind us is what happens if you let people
38:12like
38:12us in yes no that is true it was good until they turn until the roundheads turn yes right come
38:18on then
38:23sudley's most famous resident was catherine parr the only one of henry viii's wives to outlive him
38:31she lay here undiscovered for quite some time really yeah if you just read the bit of paper
38:37you have haven't you go on i'm interested so yes she lay here until i think the 18th century when
38:42some visitors to the chapel yeah noticed uh noticed a plaster or alabaster panel and uh persuaded the
38:50local farmer to sort of dig underneath and they they found a lead coffin that was inscribed with uh with
38:57her her name and her details on it thank god you're here allegedly they opened it up and when they
39:02opened it up they found that not just bones or anything like that but there she was her corpse
39:08perfectly preserved oh scary also the other thing just generally if you look at really old stained glass
39:16windows they've lost the knack of how to stain them these colors so modern ones are not as rich hang
39:23on a second i feel an affinity with this glass yeah spqr where small profit quick return i love it
39:37and talking of small profit quick return i just wonder if the lord of the manor or his son might
39:44be
39:44interested in relieving himself of some of his fortune time to meet henry and mark
39:51welcome welcome to our humble abode mate here's a cuppa oh lovely wonderful am i right in saying
39:58that cromwell came here and blew it up he did and he actually left a trademark look look behind you
40:05that's um it's saved on the maintenance of the place and that was and the heating and the heating
40:11that was the original ballroom that was the palace and actually what we're standing in here is the
40:17cavalry courses i mean you don't have many visitors do you because there's no one here actually we've
40:22got loads of people here but this is private this is the private you're in hold you i told you
40:27we're
40:27in the private court you're in a sanctum it said private i just drove in is this where we get
40:33shown
40:34the door no no no dress for the occasion we're best for the occasion blend in and not only that
40:39you've
40:39come in a nice white roller so now i was just thinking it could be yours actually mark if you're
40:44interested
40:45right i am okay i think i think you both look rough don't you think they'd look good in it
40:50i think so
40:50yeah all right but you're a bit of a petrol head anyway i am i'll tell you what was amazing
40:56about
40:56the rols-royce it's the only british car i've been in that i feel luxurious in firstly and secondly i
41:02look
41:02in my rear view mirror and he's not talking he's asleep he is look i thought i was just nodding
41:09i didn't
41:09realize i was combative yeah you were deeply asleep and you were snuffling like my little dog
41:16now hen in your tea room well i've got this lovely little visitor attraction it's a little helicopter
41:22that you put 50p in right and it goes backwards and forwards like the kids would love it okay to
41:28you mate 250 quid it's not absolute bargain make it back in a week 250 quid yeah that's it i'm
41:36sold
41:40brilliant great great great it's 50p ago yeah you're just gonna rake it in it's old school yes
41:47love that it goes like this yes yeah and uh but only now you've bought it only children about that
41:53high can get in yeah and it needs a bulb in the top light we can sort that out we
41:57might we can put
41:57it in the museum as a bit of a retro good idea retro museum retro museum this is great we've
42:03now done a
42:04deal this is lovely and he might buy the roller happy days just in case he changes his mind next
42:14day we get our resident dealer lord roy of classic karsha to come over and have a look at the
42:20roller
42:21it's very tidy isn't it yeah it is lovely in there
42:26that's cured when we come to the patient what do you think it's all right yeah there's only one
42:33way one way this is going it's going to be a wedding car isn't it well it could be cut
42:38price wedding do
42:39you do weddings because it could be roy's rolls roy i've got to tell you mate roy's roll i think
42:44wouldn't roy look good smoking around in it he would i think it'd really suit him it would be brilliant
42:50so what do you reckon it's worth oh minimum seven seven and a half happily come on that's very good
42:58all right seriously worth that much yeah i think it's going to earn that in six months in it
43:02how much is that well two grand but more than two grand profit well if you say this costs four
43:07and a
43:07half then that is well seven and a half there's three grand profit there mate potentially plus there's
43:13a hundred quid profit on the heli yeah plus we haven't sold the rop the two oil dispensers yeah and
43:19the klaxon i think that was a a very good day's buying no this is what they call in the
43:25trade mate
43:26the ultimate nice little you could even i would be happy for a change if you kept the big sign
43:33for
43:33yourself for a change as a reward yeah why not we've got enough profit for you to take a tickle
43:39out of
43:39that guy i think i'm falling in love with you
