The House of Representatives has received formal notification that Opposition Senator Janelle John-Bates is no-longer a member of the Parliament's Joint Select Committee on National Security.

Deputy Speaker Dr. Aiyna Ali read a letter to the Lower House written by the Senate President that the Senate adopted the Committee's special report last week on May 12th.

00:00In the aforementioned report, the committee's sole recommendation was that Mrs. Janelle John-Bates not serve as a member of
00:08the Joint Select Committee on National Security.
00:15Consequently, with the adoption of the Special Report Committee by the Senate, Mrs. Janelle John-Bates has ceased to be
00:22a member of the Joint Select Committee on National Security.
00:26Accordingly, having regard to the Joint Composition of the Committee, I respectfully request that the House of Representatives be informed
00:34of this decision at the earliest convenience, please.
