The House of Representatives has been formally informed of the removal of Opposition Senator Janelle John-Bates from the Parliament's Public Administration and Appropriations Committee.

House Speaker Jadgeo Singh read a letter from Senate President Wade Mark to the elected MPs on Friday.

00:05Dear Mr. Speaker, Ray, change of membership to joint select committees.
00:11Reference is made to the subject at caption.
00:15At a sitting held on Tuesday 21st, April 2026, the Senate agreed to the following resolution.
00:22Be it resolved that the Senate agree to the appointments to the joint select committee.
00:30On the Public Administration and Appropriations Committee, Mr. Vishnu Danpol, in lieu of Mrs. Janelle John Bates,
00:40accordingly, I respectfully request that the House of Representatives be informed of this decision at the earliest convenience.
