00:00Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massey lost his bid for re-election last night.
00:03The libertarian-leading Republican has been on the president's bad side for a while now.
00:08There were his fiscal hawk votes. He was one of only two Republicans to vote against the big,
00:13beautiful bill. And then there was his push, along with Democrat Ro Khanna, to make all the Epstein
00:18files public. The president threw his support behind Massey's primary challenger, Edgal Ryan,
00:24the farmer and former Navy SEAL who Trump called a, quote, true American patriot.
00:28And voters responded. Gal Ryan sailed to victory in Tuesday's primary, 54 to Massey's 45 percent.
00:34Now, the reliably red Kentucky 4th District is almost certain to send Gal Ryan to D.C. after
00:40November's midterms. This may not bode well for the incumbent in the next big primary race,
00:45the Texas Senate primary. Senator John Cornyn is up against state attorney general and MAGA loyalist
00:51Ken Paxton. The president took a while with his endorsement, but he awarded it to Paxton just
00:56yesterday, one day after early voting in the state began. Now, primary day in the Lone Star
01:02state is next Tuesday. How close was President Trump to resuming attacks on Iran this week?
01:08Here's what he told reporters Tuesday. By the way, the noise you'll hear in the background is from
01:12construction of the White House ballroom. I was an hour away. We were all set to go. You're talking
01:18about yesterday. Yes. We were going to be striking very, it would have been happening right now.
01:23Yeah, it was all done. The boats, the ships are all loaded. They're loaded to the brim.
01:28And we're all set to start. Sixty minutes is pretty much down to the wire. And notice he's still
01:34speaking in the present tense. Remember, the president said those attacks were delayed,
01:38but he's still ready to give a go order if peace negotiations falter again, which,
01:43if history is any indication, might be likely. The Post's Washington reporter Caitlin Dornbos filled
01:48me in on just where we are on that front as of Tuesday night. So President Trump on Tuesday said
01:53that he was only an hour away from making that decision on whether or not he would strike Iran
01:58on Tuesday. Now, that happened after the Gulf states got involved and asked him not to strike,
02:05saying that Iran was close to a deal. However, Tuesday morning we wake up and Iran has listed
02:13its demands out in public. They still want the right to enrich nuclear. They still want the right
02:19to a nuclear program. They say that they would keep it peaceful, but President Trump obviously doesn't
02:24believe that. They have a number of other issues that they're continuing to demand, including
02:29reparations for damages that the U.S. caused throughout this war. All of these things President Trump
02:35has just said they're no-go's for him. So we have the next 48 to 72 hours to really see
02:44whether or not
02:44the U.S. is going to have to move forward and strike Iran, or if Iran's going to come back
02:50to
02:50the table with a real offer that could see real progress in this matter and see an end of the
02:57war.
02:57In addition to keeping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, you'll recall that President Trump said that
03:01he launched the initial strikes to also defend the Iranian people being victimized by their brutal
03:06government, while a shocking new report outlines just how bad things are. Amnesty International says
03:12that in 2025, Iran executed more than 2,100 of its people. Let that sink in for a second. 2
03:18,100 human
03:19beings. That figure is more than double the number of people put to death by Iran in 2024, just one
03:25year
03:26prior. The staggering volume of killings pushed the total number of executions around the globe
03:31to a 44-year high. Some disturbing new details have emerged about the recent San Diego mosque
03:38shooting. The FBI is investigating newly discovered footage they say the shooters live-streamed during
03:44the attack. The horrifying content spread around social media Tuesday and shows the terror as it
03:50unfolded at the mosque, along with the eventual suicide of the shooters themselves. The video was
03:55recorded from what appears to be kind of like a body cam, and in it you see 17-year-old
04:00Kane Clark
04:00outfitted in a vest and his 18-year-old accomplice, Caleb Vasquez. They're both armed. The live stream
04:06captures the killers as they storm the Islamic center of San Diego with their weapons and open fire.
04:11At one heinous point, you see these two actually standing over a body and a pool of blood before
04:16getting into their BMW and fleeing. After leaving the scene, the alleged video cuts to show what appears to
04:22be Clark sitting in the driver's seat with a pistol. I feel like I need to warn you now that
04:27what I'm
04:27about to describe is going to be even more explicit and disturbing than what I have reported so far,
04:33so jump ahead 20 seconds if you want to skip this part. Later in the footage, Clark reaches over,
04:39shoots his accomplice in the head, reloads, shoots him again, and then puts the gun under his own chin,
04:45pulling the trigger. We also got our first look at a 75-page manifesto co-authored by the gunman.
04:51In one section, seemingly penned by Vasquez, he says he is neither left-wing nor right-wing,
04:57stressing he's not pro-MAGA or pro-Trump. He calls himself a third positionist,
05:02and it looks very much like that third position is white supremacy. Law enforcement says the
05:08shooters were radicalized online and wore Nazi symbols as they started their attack. One of their
05:13weapons, a handgun, had the words, race war now, etched into it, as well as a swastika.
05:18The investigation has recovered more than 30 guns and a crossbow in connection with the massacre.
