00:00I'm obviously disappointed. I've been going there since the early 2000s and you know the people at the coffee shop,
00:08in the hotels and you go on the same sort of walks and you're around the same people all the
00:12time and it feels like we've sort of been kicked out of a home and I understand it I guess
00:17from the AFL's perspective but for the Launceston people in particular, I mean it's easy to group all of Tassie
00:24together but really we've spent the vast majority of our time in Launceston and we love our time there.
00:30I'm enormously disappointed that we won't get the opportunity to continue to be part of that community.
00:34The 25 years of bringing mainlanders into Tasmania, so visitors, tourists, we felt that it was a model that could
00:43work if we played some home games, not when the Devils were in town of course, but I think if
00:48they were on the mainland and there wasn't football being played in Tasmania, that could have seen us play a
00:54logical amount of games in Launceston.
00:58Our current contract expires at the end of 2027, so we'll be in discussions with the AFL. For the moment
01:04it's coming to terms with this decision and then thinking about what the future looks like for our club.
01:13You
