00:00He really didn't care much about this rock star thing at all. He was the least rock star. That
00:06made him so unique. First thing he said is that in Motorhead, all of us got to be front persons.
00:12It's not me in the front. It's all of us.
00:16Rock, metal, frog, and everything in between. Welcome to this episode of Talkin' Rock with
00:22Meltdown. Don't forget to follow the audio-only Talkin' Rock podcast on all podcast platforms.
00:28And now, it's time for today's conversation. Here's Meltdown.
00:32Yeah, Mickey, you start talking about hockey. And of course, here in Detroit, Hockey Town,
00:38we've had a lot of your Swedish brethren. I've had a chance to play with some of these guys,
00:42Nick Lindstrom and Holmstrom and all these guys.
00:44Yeah, me too. Lindstrom is great. He's working for the Wings, right?
00:51Right, yeah. He's up the chain of command just a little bit. So you're a huge hockey fan.
00:57You played hockey. Oh, yeah. I play hockey. I play two, three times a week
01:03during the winter season with the Gothenburg Academy team, kind of. And I have to be obviously
01:11a little careful. I can't go on the... I got to be responsible when we're getting closer
01:19to touring or something. But I do love it. Hockey's my life.
01:24Yeah. I care more about that than music, actually.
01:28Is that right? Oh, yeah.
01:30I was going to ask you, do you have a pick for the Stanley Cup this year? I think, man,
01:35I'll tell you what, Carolina's tough and Colorado's tough. I don't know who's going to win that one.
01:40I don't know. I'm a Montreal Canadian fan, believe it or not.
01:44Game seven tonight, of course. Yeah.
01:46Yeah. We'll see how that goes.
01:48Yeah.
01:49Buffalo's good, too.
01:50Yeah. Yeah. That series has been kind of weird because there's been games where Buffalo
01:55hasn't even been in the same building. And then, of course, you know, they blew Montreal
01:58out the other day. So, you know...
01:59Yes.
02:00We'll see which team shows up.
02:02In Montreal.
02:03Yeah.
02:03At the Bell Center. I can't believe it.
02:06Yeah.
02:06Wow.
02:07Hey, real fast, before we talk about the band and what else you have going on, I wanted
02:11to tell you this story. Back in 1990 or 91, whenever you were touring with Don Dock, and
02:17I actually ran into you in a hotel lobby, and I was there to pick up Don to take him
02:21to the
02:21radio station. This was in Buffalo, New York. And I don't know if you ever heard this story
02:26before, but I picked up Don in our station vehicle, which was a 1967 Hearst, because my vehicle
02:33was always broken down. And Don, he walked out of the hotel and he looked at the thing
02:37and he said, I only thought I'd be in one of these things once in my life.
02:43Yeah. Holy shit. Yeah. That was a great tour, actually. We were out for 11 months straight.
02:50Yeah.
02:50It was a big one. Yeah. Very, very good.
02:54Yeah. And of course, so, you know, Don just coming off of Dockin and George Lynch went
02:58solo as well, and both had great records that did very well.
03:03Yeah. Yeah, we did. And yeah, good, good days. It was a great college for me coming from
03:11King Diamond, actually, because, well, I said it a million times, but parts of leaving King
03:18Diamond was, I felt very narrow as a drummer. You know, I had too much stress in my heart
03:28with backbeats and drum fills and, you know, clever fucking time changes and stuff. And
03:36when I came to LA, we actually moved to LA in 1987, 88, and started jamming with regular
03:44rock dudes, you know. So, you know, I felt very narrow. I couldn't sit in, my groove wasn't
03:52really there. My timing wasn't there. So, Don, that was perfect. What a great band. And
03:59playing with Peter Balthus and John Oram and Billy White. But then, obviously, I felt that
04:06I belong in the heavier division, really. So, I finally said yes to Lenny and the boys in
04:12Motorhead. They asked me since 86 to join the band, but I respectfully turned them down. I didn't
04:20think I earned my stripes yet to join that crazy band, you know.
04:25Yeah. And, of course, you spent most of your time with that band, right? That was the longest,
04:29yeah.
04:3025 years, almost. So, you know.
04:32Wow. Yeah. What was it like to look out on stage and see Lemmy in front of you every
04:37show?
04:39Yeah, it was great, you know. We never thought about it that way, but we were such a team,
04:46you know. Very unique team and family, I have to say. Now, all three of them are gone, you
04:55know. Versa, Lemmy, and Phil. It's unbelievable when I'm thinking back how much fun we had.
05:01And then, when Versa left, I was very sad. And Lemmy, too. That was Lemmy's best buddy,
05:08but he just wasn't up for it anymore. So, that was a big loss. But then again, we recovered
05:15and did amazing as a three-piece for most of the time there. And now they're all gone.
05:23It's fucking weird.
05:24Yeah.
05:24Really weird.
05:25I heard you talk in another interview about how, you know, Lemmy really stuck to his guns
05:30and he was, he was, he didn't, if he didn't think it was right, he just didn't do it.
05:36Exactly.
05:37Yeah.
05:39And as frustrating as that was sometimes, because he did not know everything best, you
05:46know. We were a total democracy in this band. We voted him down many times, me and Phil.
05:55Well, I was maybe a little bit more involved with the business as well. You know, they,
06:02they, we all made decisions. That's, that's now where I'm trying to get, get at. But I'm
06:08actually interested in numbers and, and, you know, the business side of it. And they were
06:14just like more, oh, what the hell, you deal with it, kind of. And then when it came to making
06:20decisions, of course, we all sat down and did that. But because I was more involved with
06:27the business side than, than, or more interested in it. I, I knew a lot more about certain things
06:37than maybe both of them together, you know, certain things that I really thought we had
06:43to do because he was good for us. And, and if Lemmy just was in that mood where he didn't
06:50want to do it, either me and Phil had to vote him down. I mean, two against one, basically.
06:56And he, he didn't like that, of course. Or, or I had to just give up because he made a
07:07point
07:07sometimes that what's the point, Mickey, you know, and he, he made me look in a different
07:13angle about it. And he was right, you know, a lot of times about this, not compromising the
07:22band or selling out. And, you know, and I learned a lot from him there. And, and that
07:28was, we, we were, we were so good together because me, me and Phil might be a little bit
07:35too modern sometimes for Motorhead. And Lemmy was sometime too old fashioned. So, you know,
07:42he come with some stuff and, and me and Phil said, look, we're not going to write another
07:49Buddy Holly record, you know, cause he loved rock and roll. Yeah. And, and he came to us
07:54and said, what the fuck have you guys been writing here? We're not rush. You know what
07:59I mean? Yeah, you're right. Let me, maybe it's a little too much for Motorhead. So, so we,
08:05we met in the middle and he was perfect, you know? Yeah, that's great. You know, uh, just
08:10talking to you, I didn't even think about this, but when that movie airheads came out and
08:13those guys uttered the words, uh, Lemmy is God, which is, which has kind of become this
08:18cultural thing now, ever since. I know. What did Lemmy think about that? Did he ever talk
08:24about it? No, he, he, he really didn't care much about this rock star thing at all. He,
08:31he, over all these years and as many as I met, he was the least rock star, you know what
08:41I mean?
08:41And, uh, that made him so unique. Um, I could see on his face sometimes, you know, that he did
08:51enjoy
08:51the fact that we were gaining something maybe because of status, if you will, but he was always
09:01for the little guy. I mean, you know what he stood up for us all the time because obviously a
09:09lot of
09:09times he was just, Oh, we want Lemmy for this TV thing or interview. And he said, no, if the
09:16band
09:16isn't here, I ain't doing it, you know? Yeah. And I remember he stood up for me when I joined
09:23the band,
09:24finally joined the band, uh, a lot because there was a lot of hardcore motorhead fans, especially in UK.
09:32They were like, who's this, who's this guy? You know, is he from Poison or, you know,
09:38Warrant or some hair band? And they didn't know me from King Diamond, obviously, or, or so. And,
09:45and let me just ream them a new asshole. Basically, you never seen this fucking guy play. And later on,
09:52they, they accepted me immediately. You know, he stood up for me all the time. And he, the first
09:59thing he said is that in motorhead, all of us got to be front persons. It's not me in the
10:06front. It's
10:07all of us. So he always pushed us from behind. Like, uh, we have to step forward. We have to
10:14be
10:15front people on stage and equally, you know, on each, each way. And that is very, very unique. Trust
10:25me in this world, in the, in this business, because the more you can throw the drummer and
10:31the bass player off stage, the better singers and guitar players think it is, you know?
10:37Yeah. I, I, I never accepted that. I am. I take my space or I'm not playing with whatever band
10:44I played with. I, I, I am a front person on my drum kit, you know? Yeah. And you were
10:50in that
10:50band for 25 years. So obviously, I mean, probably a mix of, uh, feeling comfortable, feeling like
10:56part of the band. Uh, just, uh, uh, why, why do you think that you were in there for so
11:00long?
11:01Well, I would have been there now if Lemmy was still alive, you know, if we were still playing,
11:06I would never, ever quit a band like motorhead because we had it all. We had the music. Oh,
11:14let's start with a friendship and, and the family. I'm never going to get that ever again.
11:21I don't think, uh, in that way. And, uh, we handpicked people, the whole crew and everyone
11:29around us were carefully handpicked over all these years. So each possession,
11:37its position of, of whatever people did was handpicked and perfect fit in perfect with this band.
11:47So it was such a, such a pleasure being on tour. And then we had the music and we had,
11:55we had everything, you know? So I would never quit a band like motorhead.
12:01Yeah. Unfortunately, were you at, were you at his, his, uh, his birthday bash?
12:06Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, you mean when he was 70? Yeah. No, no, I wasn't there. We,
12:14I couldn't make it. I was somewhere else. Uh, I don't remember now. I couldn't make it to the 70s
12:21birthday. But we basically just said bye a few weeks before, two weeks earlier. So 10 days, I think.
12:29So, uh, and that was the last time I saw him in the dressing room and, uh, on the 11th
12:36actually of
12:38December. Uh, no. So, and now with Lex Legion, we kind of getting the same deal here with the friendship
12:48that we have. Yeah. And have had in 38, 40 years. Me and Andy actually grew up on the same
12:56street.
12:57Me, Pete and Andy lives an hour away from each other, like in a triangle type. I live in Gothenburg
13:05and 45 minutes south is Andy. And, uh, one hour east, northeast is, is Pete. So Hal is in, in
13:15Norway.
13:15He's about three hours away and Nils as well. So, uh, it's, um, and that's when like, uh,
13:24Pete came with a couple of riffs and I said, let's call Andy and Hal. If the four of us
13:29will do this
13:31and, uh, we get a great singer, maybe we have something here. And that's what we did.
13:36Yeah. And did, did you always, uh, were you always in contact with the other guys?
13:40Uh, even, uh, yeah, even back in the day before cell phones and you couldn't text and stuff. You
13:45just call them up. Oh yeah. Yeah. And we, we saw each other all the time. And, uh, a few
13:51years ago,
13:52and actually, I don't know what this is, maybe, maybe seven years ago or something where we did this, uh,
14:01Nordic beast. I brought in Hal Patino on base with John Oram and Mick from Europe and myself and
14:08Steenorg Nilsson on vocal, very good singer too, from Norway. We did something called,
14:15we call it Nordic beast. It didn't last for very long for different reasons, but Hal was the bass
14:22player in that project. But here we created a new band and, uh, the plan for this year is to
14:31do press
14:32like I'm doing with you, put the band on the map. And, uh, we already start working on the next
14:38record really that we're going to try to get down as much as we can this year. I'm going to
14:45be very
14:46busy with scorpions from June on now. And, uh, so my focus is there of course. And, uh, and next
14:54year we're going to go out and start playing live. Yeah. I was going to ask you about that. So
14:582027,
14:58obviously you got to clear up your schedule a little bit. Let's talk about this record,
15:02which by the way, drops on June 12th. People should know, uh, the first two tracks have
15:06already been released, uh, sleep eternally and a gypsy tears. Uh, tell me about the rest of the
15:11flavor of this record. I mean, there can't be any balance or anything on there. Can there
15:16No, there's, there's an instrumental. Okay. Uh,
15:21uh, song in the end, the last, last one on the record. Yeah. Far away, far away. And, uh, it
15:30has a
15:30certain meaning for Andy. He named it actually. And, and it's something that Andy, I think Andy and
15:39Pete had a little acoustic thing. And we used to do that with King Diamond too. We always had like
15:45a,
15:45uh, an acoustic part of it, you know, and it's great. Uh, and the song before that is the fastest
15:54song on the whole record. It's like a fast as a shark type of song, you know, so it's a,
16:00it's a real
16:01fist in your face. And then it drops to this, uh, melodic, beautiful, uh, type of song, but it's not
16:09a,
16:09it's not a ballad. It's just a very beautiful acoustic thing. Yeah. I was only being like
16:15facetious, I suppose, because the first two songs I've heard are so ripping. Uh,
16:19yeah. The one you're talking about is called a life eternal. Yes. That's, that's the one that you
16:24said is pretty fast. You, you, you're going to hear the hardest rock and roll scream you ever heard
16:31on a record. Okay. Really? Think about that when you listen to it. All right. After the first verse,
16:39on that song, um, you'll hear a scream that I never heard anything like it. So. Okay.
16:49Then you've been around a minute. Yeah. So, so did, did, uh, did Nils, did he,
16:53did he do this a bunch of times or were you in the studio when he did this scream?
16:57No, he did it on his own and I just fucking loved it. It doesn't get harder than this. It
17:03does not get
17:04harder than this. How much did you enjoy, uh, uh, making and, and, and working and creating
17:09these songs and this record with these guys? Uh, a hundred percent, you know, because
17:16a lot of people, uh, rightfully so compare us now to the old diamond records that we did,
17:24but that's how we wrote music those days. And we continue writing this way. We are probably a
17:31nightmare for a more regular producer. We'll tear his or her hair off because why is this part over
17:42here? Why are you doing a double solo there? Or why do you have guitar harmonies after there?
17:49And it doesn't make any sense, but that's how we wrote those days. And that's the whole point of
17:56this, you know, uh, we continue doing this on this record. It's not just verse, chorus, verse, chorus,
18:03solo verse, double chorus ending, you know, uh, traditional, uh, there's, there's bits and bops. And why
18:11do you stop there? Why do you have this ending? It means nothing. It's just prolonging the song.
18:18And well, we like it and that's why it's there. Yeah. It flows or whatever the case is.
18:25Yeah. I said that record drops on a June 12th, uh, nine songs. And so you just mentioned that you
18:30guys are already working on another record. Yeah. We're riffing away already. And as I said,
18:37I'll be very busy with Scorpions at least up till, uh, October. We do the last thing we do
18:44as far as I know right now is, uh, the residency in Vegas, right? September going into October again.
18:51And we love doing that by the way, it's fantastic fun. Yeah. I was going to ask you like, uh,
18:55I mean,
18:56how cool is that to do a residency where you don't go anywhere to travel? We love it. And we
19:02have so
19:02many friends in Vegas and what a great city, great people, great venue, the Stark Arena. I think it's
19:11still called the Stark. It changed from, uh, changed names over the years since we, we've been there a
19:18couple of times, you know, four times or something else. Um, no, it's great fun. And so that's, uh,
19:27that's where we're going to end. I think what I know so far, uh, and then, um, hopefully we can
19:34cut
19:34some basic tracks and, uh, get as far as we can on, on this new record with these, uh, with
19:42this residency
19:42shows correctly, if I'm wrong, do you guys do like every other night or every third night or how does
19:47that
19:47work? Yeah, we do three nights a week. Okay. Gotcha. And that varies. It might be a
19:54Thursday, Saturday and a Monday or something. And then there's a Friday and a Saturday and a
20:01Wednesday or, you know, it varies a little bit. And if you had a chance to go see a show
20:06at the
20:07sphere yet? Yes. No, not a show, but I did go to that movie thing they have. Okay. The earth
20:15thing,
20:15the spaceship that comes down with the girl and the guy and, and they show the whole planet.
20:22And that was just stunning. Amazing. Yeah. I could imagine that that place looks wild. I haven't been
20:26in Vegas in a quite a few years. Uh, so when you guys do this, this residency in Vegas, uh,
20:32do you
20:32guys kind of a mix up the set list or how does that work and who picks the set list
20:35in the scorpions?
20:36No, we're all do. We all do actually. Uh, but this year is a extension of last year's 60th
20:45anniversary show. And it's really, really good. I mean, we have a great 70s medley in there and,
20:53and the set works really fine. Uh, cause I was asking the guys before we actually started this year,
21:01uh, what we're going to take out or what we're going to add and about rehearsal and stuff. And
21:07they said they want us to continue doing the 60th anniversary show. And, and it's great. And we,
21:15we have Buck Cherry on there again because they opened for us last year. So obviously the promoter
21:22want the same thing. We, we broke a lot of records, records there last year. Really? We, yeah,
21:28it was sold out to the boneyard and I think we broke the bar record for the venue and it
21:36was a
21:37tremendous success. So yeah, let's continue with that one. So do you just, you just live your life
21:43in Vegas for, for a few weeks or a month or whatever? That's it. Yeah. Yeah. Order, order hotel room
21:49service. Well, pretty much. Uh, yeah. Hang out with my friends. I have so many friends. A lot of people
21:57moved to Vegas. Right. From LA. And, uh, so every day is full of, full of, of, uh, events happening.
22:07And my good friend, red cup, Jeff, he knows every little thing that goes on over there. So
22:12I see that guy online. Yeah. Right. You see red cup. Yeah. I see that. Yeah. I call it,
22:16I call him blue cup Jeff. Yeah.
22:21He knows everything. Obviously you were, you were influenced by kiss. Yeah. Yeah. I, I love the band
22:28from the seventies, you know, I always, and they're good friends and we toured with them and,
22:33you know, but kiss is, kiss is a great band to, to kind of do that kind of thing for,
22:40I would say,
22:40you know, I like to, I like to do a motorhead version with symphony orchestra. That would have been
22:46even more unique, you know? Uh, but there's, there's a few bands that, that fits, fits the,
22:54and kiss is one of them. Yeah. Yeah. They did a couple, uh, they did one live album with an
22:59orchestra
23:00up and up. Yes. Yeah. But here, the conductor here, his name is Ulf Bodenbrot and, and he's one of
23:08the
23:08best in the world, you know, a Swedish guy. So, uh, him and me, we would have looked like
23:14dumbasses, you know, if this wasn't right, just to go out and blow through this and not sounding
23:20right was just too much of a gamble, you know? And would all of the players have had a kiss
23:26makeup
23:26on? Yes. Yeah. Would have been awesome. And you would have had your Peter Criss makeup on?
23:34I would probably look like King Diamond or something. No, I don't know. I would look like,
23:40uh, Picky D or something, you know? When was the last time you talked to King Diamond? I don't
23:45even know what your relationship is with him. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's fine. I don't talk to him
23:49frequently. I, he came and saw me in Dallas where he lives when we passed through with scorpions a few
23:56years ago. And I called him. I maybe not last year. Yeah. Last year, maybe, uh, he couldn't come
24:04to the show. No, he was a year before. Actually he had to pass. Um, so, you know, we stayed
24:12in touch.
24:12And I, oh, actually I saw him last summer in, in Barcelona at the festival they did. So we had
24:19a
24:19longer chat there and it's all fine, you know? Yeah. Yeah. That's great. Cause you, you hate
24:24when you're, when you're rockstar heroes don't get along. There's, it seems like there's something
24:28wrong with the universe when it's happening, but I'm glad you guys are on good, good standing.
24:32Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We're, we're on good terms. And you know, when I left in the eighties, it was
24:38some different reasons. It wasn't because I didn't like King or anything. It was,
24:42it was just, as I said, I felt like a narrow drummer. Right. I wanted to play something else.
24:48I didn't think we were, uh, uh, a team anymore as much as we were earlier years. Uh, I, I
24:59thought maybe
24:59King was going off more on himself and, and the rest of the band, we were one piece and he
25:05was,
25:06we kind of separated a little bit. And that wasn't my, what I liked for the band. We, what I
25:13liked was
25:13when we were five guys, best friends and we worked in one direction. And that is very important for me.
25:21I wouldn't stay with Rolling Stones if I played with them and, and, or, or any huge,
25:29if Beatles, uh, started up again and, and they offer me this spot. If, if we weren't best buddies,
25:35I wouldn't play there. You know, it's just not me. And you had, you didn't really go too long in
25:40your career without a gig, if I'm not mistaken. You went from King Diamond, right to right on dock and
25:45right to Motorhead, right to the Scorpions, right? Yes. Wow. And, uh, Thin Lizzy in between.
25:51That's right. I, one of my favorite bands, I unfortunately had to, to pass because
25:58Scorpions was more, it was more, Thin Lizzy was only over the summer, but I was very, very honored
26:06by being asked about it. I called Brian Downey, said, why aren't you doing it? You know,
26:11you're one of my, you, you're supposed to do this. But he said, you'd be fine. Mickey,
26:17you're perfect. You fucking play. I don't want to do it. And I had to call Scott Goran back and
26:23say,
26:23I'm so sorry. I have to pass on this because I believe Scorpions is going to be something
26:29more than over the summer, you know? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And that's so cool. Your son plays
26:34and everything I saw. Yeah. Yeah. He had to step in and have to show in Mexico City. Yeah. Yeah.
26:42Marcus is a great drummer and great guitar player, great piano player. And, uh,
26:47his heart is really in the music. So when he's ready to press the button and get out there and
26:55find something, I have to help him out there, you know? Yeah. That's great. When your kids can do
27:00what you love to do as well, you pass it on down to them. But, uh, Hey, one more thing
27:04since I'm here
27:05in Detroit in the motor city, you're part of this, uh, Verde, uh, uh, motor. I don't know what,
27:09not even know how to pronounce it. What is that whole thing with the cars?
27:13With the cars? Yeah. Oh, Verde motori. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was the second way I was
27:20going to pronounce it. Okay. So go ahead. I'm sorry. No, it's me and one of my best friends.
27:25We started a company. Uh, we kind of like agents for luxury cars. So we, we get these, uh,
27:33people, either they have amazing, super exclusive cars they want to sell and, and we sell them for
27:42them or we get, we get these, uh, people contacting us. They looking for certain cars
27:50and we'll, we'll find them for them. Uh, because my friend Johan,
27:57he had the agency here in Sweden for Lamborghini, Bentley, Maserati, uh, you know, McLaren, he,
28:05he has an amazing network. And, uh, so do I actually, I'm a big car guy. So, so we do
28:13really,
28:13really great. You know, even the, even the, the Porsche family recruited us to find certain cars,
28:22you know, so, and, and, you know, we're just selling these super exclusive stuff, you know,
28:29and we buy some cars and, and sell cars. Basically I'm a car dealer. That's amazing.
28:37Yeah, it is. Yeah. One of my friends does something similar here in the motor city. Uh,
28:42unfortunately I'm not in your demo. I'm not looking for a luxury car.
28:47Well, let me know if you want them an exclusive car, just call me up and I'll get it for
28:53you.
28:53Well, I appreciate that. Well, Mickey, I'll tell you what we'll let you lose here. Alex Legion,
28:57like I said, that comes out on a June 12th, uh, with nine tracks sleep eternally is out right now.
29:03Gypsy tears is out right now. Uh, we'll see on tour with the scorpions this year and, uh,
29:08go Habs go, as they say, even though I grew up in Buffalo, I'll say it just for you. Go
29:11Habs go.
29:12Yeah, there we go. All right. It's going to be exciting. It's going to be exciting.
29:17It's, it's getting hot now, you know? Yeah, no doubt. So yeah. And, uh,
29:23hot, hot more ways than one. So go ahead. I'm sorry. The world cup,
29:26you know, world cups going on. So we, we got our ass kicked by Canada, not kicked,
29:31but we lost to Canada beat Denmark. Now he's check next today here in the,
29:37in like 20 minutes or something. So yeah, well,
29:41I'm looking for great to talk to you. I could talk to you about hockey all day long.
29:44I've got guys like, man, it's just so much fun. So, well, I appreciate your time.
29:49Good luck with everything. Uh, Alex Legion,
29:51maybe we'll see you here in Detroit rock city sometime soon.
29:54We definitely got to come and play a U S uh,
29:58soon as we're out on the road. And I just want to mention the album, as you said, coming out
30:04June 12th,
30:05it's on the shortest side on purpose, because we want it to sound bad-ass on a vinyl.
30:13That's right. Yeah. We could have thrown two more songs in there, but we said, no,
30:17let's keep it short and sweet. And let's come out with a second record, uh, fairly soon.
30:24Yeah. The songs are all short four and a half minutes, three, three and a half minutes. Yeah.
30:28So yeah, for the vinyl reason, of course, I mean, I'm a vinyl guy myself,
30:31just dropping on the turntable. I can't wait to hear it. Yeah. It's like 35 minutes in total.
30:36It could have been 40, but you know, for vinyl, you want to keep it a little, little on the,
30:41on the downside because of the quality. And that was, that was more important to us. Um,
30:50then, uh, then just throwing in one or two more songs, you know? Yeah. That was one of the things
30:56I know on, um, Chinese democracy with guns and roses. They put so much stuff in there. Some of the
31:02songs sound good. They sound terrible, like compressed, like crazy. Yeah, I know. And we,
31:08we wanted, we wanted this record to sound really airy and, and loose and, and powerful. And, uh,
31:16you lose a lot of that on vinyl because it's, it's more fun to make records today for vinyls than
31:23for
31:23CDs, even if CDs are on the way up again, which is kind of fun too, I think. But yeah,
31:29well, I'm a vinyl guy for sure. And this, uh, so far what I've heard sounds vinyl worthy,
31:33as I would say, but, uh, yeah, uh, Mickey, safe travels. We will talk to you when you're here
31:38in Detroit next time. Okay. And have fun. Sounds good. All right. Cheers.
