00:00I've heard a lot of people wanting to drop Bo Bichette in the order.
00:06And I couldn't disagree with that more.
00:10And I credit Mendoza for sticking with Bichette at the top of the order.
00:14Bo Bichette is one of the best all-around hitters in baseball.
00:17Bo Bichette has the best resume with runners in scoring position that you can find throughout baseball.
00:26He is a machine.
00:30He will ultimately hit.
00:32He was brought here.
00:34Forget the contract.
00:35I don't care if he's getting paid $10 a day.
00:37The contract means nothing to me as far as what he's getting paid.
00:41The reason why I want to keep him at the top of the order or near the top of the
00:44order is because of his ability to hit the baseball.
00:48As good as anybody in the league with runners in scoring position.
00:52And be that machine.
00:55You saw it on Sunday.
00:57Got a hit late in the game.
00:58And then you saw it tonight.
01:00He had a big night.
01:01This could be the start of Bo Bichette turning it around.
01:05Because he's not going to be the player we've seen through the first month and change.
01:10Because that's not the player that he is.
01:13Look, we've seen this a lot with the Mets.
01:15Some guys that they bring in, whether it's a trade or whether it's free agency, big money, free agent, or
01:21a big trade.
01:24Basically, across the board, they all struggle.
01:27Now, some of them have come out of that great and they made the Hall of Fame.
01:32Others never made it out.
01:34Bo Bichette is going to make it out.
01:36He's in the prime of his career.
01:37He's a great hitter.
01:39Mendoza needs to be even more patient than he's been.
01:43Keep Bichette at the top of the order.
01:44The team is playing well.
01:46And allow Bo Bichette to work out of what he is going through.
01:52And what we've seen over the last couple days, perhaps that's the start.
01:55So, let's go.
