05:27a governance statement,
05:29nor an economic statement,
05:32it was a human nature statement.
05:35There will be some
05:37who are never
05:38willing to help themselves,
05:41and indeed,
05:42the Bible does not say
05:43God helps those
05:45who help themselves,
05:46but it is properly
05:50contextually implied.
05:52We are expected
05:54to take care of
05:55our brothers and sisters,
05:57be our brothers and sisters'
05:59keeper,
06:00and take care of
06:00widows and orphans,
06:02but the Bible
06:03also says
06:04there is a distinction
06:06and a difference
06:07between those
06:08who are
06:08unable
06:10to help
06:11themselves
06:12and those
06:13who are
06:14unwilling
06:15to help
06:17themselves.
06:18They're,
06:18back to Jesus,
06:20the poor will
06:20always be among you.
06:22There will
06:23always be some
06:24who don't
06:26want to do
06:27anything,
06:27who,
06:28just by their
06:30presence,
06:31a degree
06:32of sin
06:33of hubris,
06:34are expected
06:36that you
06:37take care of them.
06:39That is different
06:40than Jesus
06:42and godly
06:43charity,
06:44helping those
06:45who are
06:46unable
06:47to help
06:48themselves.
06:49There is a big
06:50difference
06:50and distinction
06:51in those.
06:54rising tide
06:56lifts most
06:57boats
06:57because there
06:58will be
06:59always some

10:17and investment
10:18income and
10:19other pension
10:20income on
10:22top of
10:23social security.
10:24Social security
10:25was meant for
10:26those who
10:27don't have
10:28the other
10:29things and
10:29yes, I had
10:30a 401k but
10:31when I became
10:32disabled,
10:33that money
10:35I had was
10:36no longer
10:36working 20
10:38years prior
10:39to when I
10:40was planning
10:41to retire
10:42so it was
10:43nowhere near
10:44enough funds
10:45to help get
10:46me by.
10:47Those funds
10:48dried up
10:49very quickly
10:51so I am
10:52solely on
10:53social security
10:54now.
10:54It isn't as
10:55if I didn't
10:56intend to
10:57have other
10:58income, I
10:59wasn't working
11:00a job where
11:01I would have
11:01a pension.
11:03My dad
11:03thankfully
11:04retired GM
11:05RIP now
11:06of course dad
11:07but got a
11:09pension from
11:10a reduced
11:11pension because
11:12GM went
11:13through bankruptcy
11:14but a pension
11:15nonetheless.
11:16it's impossible
11:17for corporations
11:19to pay people
11:20to not work.
11:21Pensions are a
11:22thing of the
11:23past, I
11:23recognize that
11:24but those who
11:25are getting
11:26pensions and
11:27401k dividends,

11:30social security
11:31being taxed, I
11:32have no problem

11:36was meant for

11:38had nothing, a
11:39safety net, not
