A significant collection of historic Rolls-Royce engines has found a new home in Bristol.

Aerospace Bristol has worked in partnership with Rolls-Royce and Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust to develop a historic aircraft hangar on its site in Filton into a new museum store.

Aerospace Bristol’s CEO Sally Cordwell tells us more.

00:00Well, today we are opening Hangar 16R, home of the Rolls-Royce Aerospace Collection.
00:10And we have got an amazing collection of just over 70 Rolls-Royce engines that take us back from some of the very first engines up to almost present day.
00:22And that is now, or will be, from Friday, open for the public to come and have a look. And it really tells an amazing story of innovation and engineering and some incredible kind of Bristol history.
