00:00This tiny golden jackal pup fell down a 20-foot open well, and she survived.

00:05Hi, I'm Erica. I've been a ditto producer for four years, and I've never seen this animal on camera,

00:09so I knew I had to show you guys this rescue.

00:12She was soaking wet and afraid, unable to stop her shaking.

00:16Thankfully, a good Samaritan eventually found her and called the rescue team at Wildlife SOS to get her out of

00:22there.

00:22They arrived with a box and ropes and immediately got started on their plan.

00:25The jackal heard them and seemed to stop shaking a bit as they got to work above her.

00:31They stretched the ropes over the open mouth of the well and made a makeshift police system

00:36before lowering the box into the well,

00:39just hoping that the jackal would know that they were there to help

00:43and trust them enough to jump into the box on her own accord.

01:08They were so relieved when she was finally being lifted up to safety.

01:18They finally got her on solid ground,

01:21and now it was time to transport her far enough away from the well

01:24that she wouldn't find herself in this predicament again,

01:27but close enough that she was familiar with her usual habitat.

01:37Once they opened the crate, she seemed perfectly healthy as she wasted no time to reunite with her family.
