00:00Tommy, take a look at a little Major League Baseball.
00:02We know you love that as well.
00:03Kyle Schwerber on an absolute heater.
00:0420 bombs.
00:05The Philadelphia Phillies are back starting to play better baseball.
00:07But there's always the Atlanta Braves at 32 and 15.
00:10But I want to ask you a question.
00:11You're a New York Yankees.
00:13Still playing good baseball, but did drop a series with the New York Mets
00:16that they probably should have won.
00:17Coughed up some late leads.
00:18But those Tampa Bay Rays, 30 and 15.
00:21Pesky.
00:21We talked about it so many times on pro baseball today.
00:24Picked dead last in that division, but sitting three games up in first place.
00:28You can't kill this team.
00:30No, you certainly can't.
00:31And, you know, it's really a rising tide lifts all ships where, you know,
00:35frankly, the top portion of the lineup is fantastic.
00:37You know, Chandler Simpson gets on base.
00:38All of a sudden, he's at third.
00:39They have Andy Diaz.
00:40They have Caminero.
00:41They have Jonathan Aranda.
00:42Like, they have legitimate power hitters.
00:43They have good pitching.
00:45I'm not going to say it's great, but they make it work.
00:47And frankly, when you have that and you have timely hitting and really a great
00:50bullpen, especially the back end with Brian Baker, they're just locking it
00:54down on all phases.
00:54Good defense.
00:55It's a tough place to play.
00:56It's a good pitcher spark.
00:57Like, all these things come together and put them in a spot to win games.
01:01I will say, if they were still playing outside at Steinbrenner Field, I don't
01:04think they'd be this good.
01:05I think, like, the opposing hitting would show up just a little bit more.
01:08They give up a few more runs here or there, and they wouldn't be as good.
01:11I still think they'd be a good team, but not jumping out to this big of a lead.
01:15Now, let me ask you one question here.
01:17We both like the Mariners, and thank goodness the Mariners are out in the West
01:20because nobody's really a good baseball team, but they've lost three games in a
01:23row.
01:23Are they going to wake up at any time right now?
01:25They're too good of a starting pitching staff and too good of a baseball team to
01:29be wallowing under .500, but they're lucky they don't play, let's just say,
01:32in the NL East where the Braves would just blow them right off the map.
01:35They'll probably win this division, but I'm just – I'm waiting on them, Tom.
01:38What's the deal?
01:39Yeah, we're kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop in a good way that they're
01:42actually going to get their act together, but they've got to get things going.
01:45The injuries aren't, you know, good right now.
01:47Obviously, Cal Raleigh's been out.
01:48He hasn't been great.
01:49J.P. Crawford left last night.
01:51Brian Donovan – excuse me, Brandon Donovan's been on and off the IL multiple
01:55times.
01:55Like, they need the lineup in there together.
01:57The pitching's always been fantastic.
01:58They've got to get the hitters going.
