00:00Parti Bersama Malaysia may attract urban support under Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad,
00:06but analysts say it is unlikely to seriously challenge Malaysia's main political coalitions.
00:11Mujibu Muis of University Technology Mara said Rafizi's popularity comes from his government
00:16experience, PKR leadership role, and image as a strategic thinker. However, he said a new
00:22party's survival depends on current issues, organization, resources, grassroots networks,
00:28and a strong voter narrative. Mujibu also said PKR and Paketan Harapan would not be crippled because
00:34they still have party machinery, government influence, and a strong political brand.
00:39He added that Bersama could gain support in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and semi-urban Negeri Sembilan,
00:45but may struggle in Kelantan, Terengganu, and rural northern penitular Malaysia.
00:51Meanwhile, Ahmad Zaharuddin Sani Ahmad Sabri of Global Asia Consulting called Bersama a political
00:57startup that may appeal to smaller parties, progressive NGOs, and urban voters, but could
01:02split votes in mixed PH strongholds without strong grassroots machinery. Rafizi and Nik Nazmi left PKR,
01:09vacated their pandan and Sitya Wangsa seats respectively, and took over Bersama,
01:13a Penang-registered party from December 2, 2016, after resigning for ministerial posts in May 2025.
